    I was a teamster working at the terminal during its construction. Fun times. I always chuckle at the speed limit signs at the terminal. 11 mph and 29 mph. What a hoot.

      Yeah, I never understood why they didn’t just make it 10 or 30 lol

    It probably seemed like the day was dragging on because of the mess of packages you had to deal with. Seems someone could come up with a computer program to organize and label that mess to make it easier for the one that has to deliver all the packages! Awesome job.

      They usually are pretty good at writing on the boxes and a quick phone call to the office cleared it up. Sometimes when there’s lots of small deliveries like that it does get a little confusing but not bad 🤙🏽😂

    Your so young. God i remember in 1980 when i started on a union freight dock. I wanted to quit so many times a buy a truck but i listened to my father and stayed for the 30 year pension. After i retired Obama fucked my insurance so bad i had to return to the work force. I bought several truck in 14 years last being a t680 for fuel economy. I just retired again (permanently) this year. 44 years was enough .

      I've been behind the wheel in the UK and Europe for 10 years and I've already had enough too many shit heads on the road who can't drive to save there life. I've driven American trucks and don't been to dump on them they are terrible in comparison to European trucks they have 2 things that I like space and some what comfortable but other than that it feels like a European truck from 30 years ago. Brakes are shocking feels like milk bottle tops were used as brakes absolutely no technology was used at all. Steering is pretty terrible and it doesn't have any assistance to make your life easier. It honestly feels like my cousins old scania which is nearly as old as me 😂. I love that old truck though so much power and no emissions or speed limiters 😊. Feels nice cruising at 85mph down the M1 😂😂😂 long live the scania V8 your never late.
      Don't follow me I do stupid shit. 😂
      Going back to my brandy and Saturday evening watching youtube it's so relaxing not having to work with 90mph winds outside 😂. Fire brandy and tv all I need is a cigar and everything is perfect 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.
      Edit seasons greetings to everyone may there once again be peace throughout the world with Mr orange in the pilot seat 😂😂. Love the big red button ❤️.

      @@leavitttrucking1My dude please don't overdo it I tell my cousin the same thing he's got 25 years on me and tell him he needs to slow down and let me take the helm and some off the work load. Please be well 🙏. And have an amazing Christmas and an awesome new year.
      Greetings from London across the pond.

    Hey Dawson! Thanks for the ride today. Like somebody else said, too bad there isnt better manifesting for all the LTL type drops. Makes it less confusing. I spent many years in that business down in Oregon. Take care. Todd the retired trucker.

    Double stacking a skid of Hazmat pails is a big no no. Also Hazmat has to be secured by a strap or load bar. Safe trucking !!

      Ever hauled a pallet of paint? Definitely okay to be stacked as far as I’ve ever dealt with but who knows 🤷🏼‍♂️🙏🏼

    Why did you move to Alaska. I used to run up there three times a year out of the states here and I always wanted to live up there.

      I moved up when I was 15 because of my dad‘s work. He took a job up here.

    Does your company get interline freight from other carriers for you to make final delivery in areas they do not cover ? What carriers do you haul for ? Any big lower 48 LTL's ?

    • @TheAlaskaTrucker
      @TheAlaskaTrucker  3 дня назад +1

      We do work with multiple other freight companies in the state. We do not run to the lower 48 except to haul up our own equipment if we get new stuff
