thanks Neil at Italia Autos. - Авто/Мото
It was nice to have the commentary over the speed up footage... Great job!
Yeah made it a bit more interesting.
@@ItaliaAutos Much more in my opinion.
The background music is just right Neil......just enough and doesnt distract from the narration.
finally someone who likes the music lol.
Not boring, enjoyed it pal.
Great job man and for the right money...I love British pragmatism and love for craftmanship! Nice finish!
Well done good to see how much care and effort you put into that job.
Cheers thanks for watching.
Great work, I really enjoyed the commentary it made it so much more interesting especially when you say it took 2 weeks and how many times you had to do certain parts like the wheel arch.
Just had a sneaky look on Autotrader. GTV's are going from anywhere between £2k upto £7k so even if you spent a grand on parts you'd make a profit. Definitely a keeper!
Nice work! Looks really nice!
Really great video. I like the way you talked us through it. I didn’t know a budget respray existed - very informative 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely, I’m really appreciating your knowledge and the way you present. I bought a phase 2 of the sales director of Alfa UK years ago. It was so well looked after but I still broke an engine bearing in slow moving traffic. 15 years later I’m looking again so I’m soaking up every bit of knowledge I can this time around.
Such gorgeous cars - love to see what’s happening
Stunning work mate. Looks like new.
thanks
good fill up with the chat! Good work with the PP
cheers.
I'm a spray painter. I'll watch then comment on what I think. 👍
Right, a few tips, a little criticism and some advice if you're interested.
First, pre clean is a must for spraying, but it's ok at getting that double sided tape off. Alternatively use a heat gun. But careful, don't melt the paint, I've seen it back in oil based paint days. If you've a steady hand and patience a new Stanley blade works.
When you go over the motor with a DA your creating a key for the new paint to grab onto, in this case its possible, depending on the panel condition to not even use colour as the original is sealed under the clear coat your now painting on top of. No need, you can save cost + time here mate.
Theres a few other things I could pick at but I won't. But heres a good tip when not taking locks and rubbers out. If the paint is good then use fade out thinner and more or less just paint that part with coloured thinners. You won't build up an edge around where you masked it up.
Anyway, from what I see you've got a great finish from the paint, you've obviously got ability putting the paint on but as I'm positive you already know, its ALL in the preparation.
As a pro job, I'll give it 4.
Under the circumstances and conditions, I'll say 8. Fillers on top of paint is a no no, especially as you're priming anyway.
Great work. Have a Spider in the same color and I plan on doing the same soon
Nice job and great video, thanks for the insight 👍👍
thanks
Great Job. In the video it also looks like it's a very proper paint job! I know which mechanic I would choose if I would leave in UK;) keep up the Chanel! I will follow for sure
Brilliant work, I love videos like this
Thanks for watching
@@ItaliaAutos No problem, I subscribed as well :-)
bravo , j'adore vos vidéos .
Beautiful car in that colour love the video nice one
Great video as always Mate
Cheers
Great Work.... 👍👍
Excellent finish. Great effort
Thank you! Cheers!
Done a good job there, well done 👍
Thanks for watching
lovely job, If I had an Alfa I would certainly have you look after it.
thanks
just unbelievable, nice job
thanks
Another great video ,wish we had a alfa specialist like yourself up in the north east .
Take a long drive down to sunny Walsall. Lol
I like the narrated style of the video
Neil, that came up a treat. Very fair price for what you did there, considering cost of materials etc. Shame your not in Sydney, I'd have my Phase 1 GTV Busso down to you in a flash.
well its still a game im learning so prices are cheaper.
Wow nice paint job 👍
Thanks 👍
Looks brilliant 👍👍👍👍
Thanks
That’s a brilliant informative video 👍. My GTV had a poor respray back in 2012, way before my ownership. It’s got microblisters all over the roof and boot lid. Unfortunately they have just started to “pop” now and looks like the poor car has chicken pox . Definitely something I would be looking to have done to mine. My paint code is 473/A
Good stuff. Thanks for watching
Second time I've watched this - far from boring! Therapeutic, in fact, to see the car's appearance totally revitalised thanks to your expertise with the old paint brush! Want to get my Vela blue V6 done in the Nuvola Blue. Will contact you.
Great video, lovely car, and nice paint job. It’s a shame the owner didn’t want to pay a bit extra for a more thorough job though.
Nice work
That color is 😍
Great video
Thanks for the visit
Man. Because we want to keep watching your brilliant work, please make sure to have some ventilation going in the paintshop. The particle-filtering mask can’t save you from that chemical concentration :/
Great video! I have a 2012 Giulietta and your videos have helped me a big lot ;)
i now have an extractor. thanks for watching
Gtv v6 bomba 😍
Great job
lovely job
thanks
Fantastic!
cheers.
love this blue ;)
The perfect job

That 'ain't a quick 'blow-over'! Lovely work & very reasonable £
It did turn into a bigger job than a blow over and that's totally my fault.
Looking good
cheers thanks for watching.
Great video! I would need to repaint my Gtv too. If it took you 2 weeks, I can estimate a month for myself 😁
Keep the commentary as you reveal interesting tidbits as you speak. Thanks
Liked before watched
Awesome. Enjoy
Also, great video dude, I've watched a few now. I'll either know all about Alfas or be dead from China Virus! Subbed 👍
First of all, great video, very informative, direct and precise, as it should be. The camera placement was superb. Now as u asked for some criticism, id like to add that this commentary type of videos is much better than a sped-up tool as a background. For example, bits with polishing tools sounded like live commentary from a beehive, suffocating both you and your background music. Maybe try it like that, for some time, it would be much more engaging than listening to all sorts of tools making noise. Cheers!
Thanks for the feedback. What device where you listening to it on, I can play with the volume levels, I tried a super low volume on this one as someone is always moaning about it in other videos to audio was quieter than it normally is.
great vid where the mirrors difficult to paint and did you paint them un disassembled . keep up the good work your channel is brill
I hung the mirrors while painting them complete.
Great job! Blue n tan looks amazing, would be great todo a revival to the customer video, i bet he is going to be so chuffed!! What colour is that gtv not seen a gtv in that blue before.
vela blue. thanks it already gone back to the customer and hes well happy.
The Alfa GTV is my best favourite Alfa ever. I think it is super sexy car especially the 3/4 rear end.
lovely cars.
Great video and a great result, could you tell me what kind of paint you used, thanks
Хорошо,alfa drive !кайфовый avto !
I have a 916 spider and the clam covet for the hood is badly cracked which seems to be a common problem. How easy is it to smooth and resspray please?.Also rust on osr wheel arch
Great job and end result, Neil! I hate when body shops leave a ton of orange peel - your customers are, I'm sure, happy you're going the extra mile!
cheers
I was writing a critical comment about the rear boot lock not being removed then noticed at 2:02 you said the customer asked for locks not to be removed.
i did try to take it out as thats quite quick and easy but its seized on.
Great video! Planning on painting my GTA soon so this was super helpful!
On a more expensive paint would you also sand the primer and base coat? Or do you not find much difference?
Yes I would massive amounts of difference.
Great, I needed to see this! I have a phase 1 that really needs an overall respray as the paint is a bit patchy and variable to say the least.
One question, why refit the bumper and rear wing before sanding and polishing?
I polished the boot in advance. Because it's easier to polish when fitted.
@@ItaliaAutos fair enough!
I thought you would flat the primer first b4 base coat ?
PRO NEIL.
Great video mate!
You think it makes sense to import an V6 2.0 TB in the UK?
nope. 3.0 all the way
I noticed you sprayed over the Alfa Badge on the boot, did you replace it afterwards?
it was masked up.
This types of videos are really relacing. Thats why i watch detailing channels.
One question, is that rotary or da sander?
as said below. da and rotary polisher.
Do you use any other sandpaper after going over the car with 400 before paint
no as the primer is thick enough to cover any sanding marks.
Hi, i'm searching blue style edition door card panel for my spider 916. Can you help me?
Lots of grey/black ones
If you had a rosso red cup bumper and the car is blue, do you stand off all the red paint first?
nope.
@@ItaliaAutos would you then use a primer? Sorry just trying to understand the process 😁
Where I can get one rear diffusor for my gtv?
Grate job btw!
Do you ever get any 105's in for work?
Not very often
haha...your polishing machine sounds like a spanish flamenco singer. ....4:30
Where to buy a front lip??
I don’t know customer supplied it.
is that a DIY spray booth?
mate, you forgot to take the door locks out 😁
theres always one. lol
and it's always me lol
I wouldn't prime a whole car in that position I would only high build the localised repairs saving the amount used but some paint systems allow u to tint the primer to a similar colour to the car so u can have dark grey for a coloured car of white saving cost on paint but I can see u wet on wet the whole car in your video did u high build the repaired areas
i did discuss it with another painter and he talked me into priming the whole thing.
Think you should split vids if you want more subscribers. If see it all in one go no need to subscribe
i was trying something different in this one as ive done a few paint videos and not got many views. this seems a bit better.
Beautiful car I am sorry but the pre paint job it's horrible why?
So hang on, the owner spends £2000 on a respray which looks half decent but decided he didn’t want to spend another £100 or so getting the door locks out?! Lol
Nice work. Needs a proper polish but looks a good coat.
Maybe as part of your package you employ a pro detailer to pop over and finish the final polish stage? Would be perfect then.
Nope but to be fair I did a top job as masking so not many lines.
Italia Autos you always do mate. I’ll probably hand you one of my 145’s, the Proteo one needs a new passenger wing (supplied) fitted and paint on front end/rear bumper just to tidy her up
A quick job? it took 2 weeks!
As far as paint work is considered yes its quick. Bodyshops normally want a car for lots longer.
@@ItaliaAutos ok, if you think so
I am surprised thst you cancelled jobs for a week to focus on getting car prepped and sanding. I would have thought any labourer could have done this whilst you got on and earned your keep with the meaty jobs and revert to this car to sand / paint etc.
Please make Russian subtitles .
I’ll have to have a look into it.
Italia Autos Please!
Two thousand pey'uhnds?
2 pack laquer and no vent ??? It creeps up on you nasty stuff
ive now got an extractor. after doing this one decided its time to sort one.
