First time reaction to, "Crystal Snow", by BTS (Ep.35 BTS Journey)

This is the first time I've ever listened to, "Crystal Snow", by BTS. This is my reaction and review.

As an American who is mostly monolingual, the BTS performances sang in languages different from their own are so impressive to me- be it English or Japanese the boys are always delivering expert performances. It just blows my mind. Can you even imagine how difficult that is?
The reason the video shifted to fancam for a while is because the cameraman didn't film Jin doing the famous triple high note. Only fancams did. 💜
They only do that when they’re not doing it live. Not saying he doesn’t do it live .. but the tours are long.. ppl get sick or have off days… you’ll notice that happen sometime for highlight parts for any of them… but that’s why the camera pulled away from Jin there.. so it’s not as obvious in a highlight part

@@blarmy827 The cameraman missed the triple high notes because he was following the member who was singing the primary melody but Jin sang those babies live; if you slow down the video and look closely you can see him bent over and just coming into view. That's another reason the cameraman missed him - he was bent over and obscured by the members around him. Thank heavens for fancams.
Crystal Snow is one of my favorites. They're all amazing, but Jin really shines in all their Japanese tracks. His voice is made for these songs. Range and raw power. Thank you for the reaction. 😊👍

I feel like we've all kind of had that reaction when we first heard this, we have to pull back and scrunch our faces, it's such a high and hard note to sing, especially for male singers. But Jin pulled it off so great, Jin (and Jimin) are mainly responsible for the highest notes and belts, truly a Silver Voice! (Next, Pied Piper, Dimple, and Let Me Know Live version!!) It's a shame that we only have the one fancam of Jin's triple high note. Nice that this editor managed to cut it into this concert footage.

OK, I was just thrown back into junior high with Air Supply LOL! That song was released in 1981 lol.....and I loved it when it came out. Of course, I love Crystal Snow too. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! 💜💜💜

And shout out to fan cams - there are so many special moments in performances that the main cameramen miss because (of course!) they have to focus on the member singing the primary part.
I was surprised when you said you couldn’t find the song in doolset. Then I realize it’s because this is a Japanese song. Doolset Wordpress is run by someone who speaks Korean and English, and I guess not Japanese. I checked several other BTS Japanese songs and none of them are in doolset.
Jin’s triple high note is from a fancam focus video. Thank goodness someone captured it because the “official” videos doesn’t show him during that part.
I like Air Supply and I like that song. I didn’t know the title but I recognized it when you were humming it.

Exactly, why not? I'm several years in and I still replay it over and over and over again for Jin's and Jimin's high notes. All seven sound amazing in this song and it's gorgeous and one of the best live ever. Have a Happy Thanksgiving! (Yes! Air Supply!) 💜

Actually really enjoy your reactions from NM …it is cool to watch a new baby Army who is a musician enjoy an amazing group of talented singer, lyricists, dancers, all around performers and see the appreciation for talent and hard work. Again I truly enjoy your reactions. One of my favorite songs is Your Eyes Tell another Japanese lyrics song with amazing vocals please keep reacting to BTS and will certainly keep watching. Crystal Snow is one of my favorites.
This is an amazing song and yes Jin and Jimin usually stand out with the Japanese songs their voices are just suited for them. They all do an amazing job for sure but those two do stand out. Also for me V is not credited enough for his vocals enough in this song his parts amazing. They all have different sounding voices and what makes them great they utilize them so well which in many cases is hard to do.
OH WOAH its my FIRST TIME hearing you say JIN and JIMIN other than RM. like i know you haven't watched any introduction videos but you were able to differentiate bw them just listening to their vocals. thats really really great. keep going.

While I like the group very much there are some songs that I only like parts of, mainly because of the impressive vocals, particularly as the guys are pretty young during these eras, late teens to early twentiesso its amazing that they would sing in these genres and have such vocal skill at a young age .. Obviously loads of people like the same bits as most of these are on RUclips shorts as well..

By the way since you are exploring k pop, Suga of Bts wrote a song or helped write it and did produce it, for a performer called PSY recently called That That.. Anyway , PSY had a very popular, fun, dance song a few years ago called Gangam style and this time around with That That Suga acted in the music video as well, its a very fast. very fun upbeat song and during one of the live concert performances , Suga made a surprise guest appearance which the audience did not expect.. You should see and hear the reaction.. Its crazy..

I'm happy that the years of hard work these guys put in, all the hardships and ridicule they endured has finally culminated in this kind of fame.. They are supposed to be very nice as individuals too.. Very simple and unspoiled..

I remember listening to the Ghostbusters sound track on cassette in the 80s and Air Supply had a song on it. But I never had an album of theirs. Cool comparison.
Its such fun watching your reactions , particularly when something surprises you! I like their songs that have strong vocals , background vocals or hidden vocals, adlibs and so on..
They did some ads for Puma a few years ago , for bog Sox I think, its just a few aCapella lines by RM and JK but really nice.. Some of this random stuff reminds you that they are strong vocalists..
