The backing track is most important when they are dancing. Some of their choreo is very intense and complex. The backing track keeps it even when they need to take a breath or when the dancing causes a break in their vocals. It's simple really.

I love to see you smiling while hearing them, that's the first BTS' effect :-)
You can not notice it, but your facial expression was changing during this period, becaming smoother. It has happened to all the reactors I suscribed. I hope mine has changed too 🙏.
I loved when you said that they shine the room, because it was what I realized too. They have this effect on us. Thanks for reacting and for having good words about them 💜💜💜

I think you're the first reactor who pointed out the drum beat changes in Spring Day, that it impacted the mood of the song tremendously. In the first section the song is about longing, feeling of missing someone so bad it feels like winter/gloomy even in the summer. The song progressed becoming brighter and and more hopeful toward the ending, also accentuated by the changing of drum beats into usual 4/4.

Yes, I was going to point out too that he was maybe the first talking about the drumbeat. I'm not sure because I watched so many reactions videos. But that's just one of the reasons we like to watch new/different reactors. When they see or hear or react to things others haven't. 🤗💜

People refusing to believe BTS can dance and sing at the same time - point out the backing tracks as 'evidence' of lip syncing.
So tracks and Autotune are sensitive topics.
It's why Suga sometimes sings a bit off beat ( or just stops mid-rap ).
They'll also switch parts with each other.

This is why I love to watch reactors. They often start off with this guarded or skeptical attitude, but a lot of them end up becoming genuine members of ARMY after they spend time looking at the lyrical content of BTS songs and watching interviews and other videos that show case just how authentic and genuine these 7 men have been throughout their whole career.
BTS's music really does have the power to change people. I've seen so many reactors who have come out of their shell and aren't afraid to show their true personalities with us as they go down this rabbit hole. There's something magical about BTS that inspires us to take that risk and be a bit more vulnerable and genuine with others, even when we risk being criticized or looked down on.
Watching that transformation happen slowly but surely over time is always one of my favorite things.

I know that you knew nothing about BTS at the beginning & was hoping you would continue on your journey. I'm so glad you did, so many will not even give them a chance. Once a person looks at more than just their music & dancing to their personalities, you find they stay humble & caring. Most of them started with very little & were treated horribly but kept going & that is a message they convey to others. The OMV to Save Me has been my favorite for a long time. It was taken in one shot. The song Spring Day has a very deep meaning. I hope you don't take this wrong but you seem to smile more since going on this journey. I hope you continue as there are hundreds of videos. ARMY has a saying that you will find BTS when you need them the most. Thank you, enjoy your reactions.💜

In my mind it is the connotation of WHY a backing track is used. In the US and UK for sure we think that an artist uses a backing track because they are not able or don't believe that they can sing it live well. I have come to appreciate that in "KPop" they put a lot into the layering of the vocals so they use the backing track to give a full sound to the song. I can't speak for other KPop groups because I tend to only watch BTS but these guys do not lip synch. So if they believe that they won't be able to sing because of tge intense choreography they allow the backing track to take over but don't pretend to sing with it and it is very clear which are the live voices and the backing track. They are not trying to cover it up. They also do use autocue sometimes live too to add effects to their voices for the artistry. I like that you are very honest and am glad you make no pretence. You nice, keep going 💜 (Jimin quote to himself!).

It’s always so awesome to see BTS break down the barriers of preconception and open the doors for us to be more open minded and accepting of things that we didn’t quite understand at first. I’ll be the first to admit that as a rock guitarist who listened mostly to music probably similar to you, I had my initial ideas of who and what BTS was, and now I’m a die hard ARMY for the rest of my days…
Cheers to you for being open minded enough to now enjoy and appreciate BTS for who and what they are. 🙌

the backing track in lives are done because they constantly move and dance a lot. slow ballads do not need them, you watched 'proof, 'fix you and 'i'll be missing you, were there was no back track. the beats of their songs are unique sometimes there are 4 to 5 different beats that you would think would not mesh but they do, like black swan and fake love. you are listening to the orchestra that is created by their combined voices and the combination of the arrangement of the music which makes their songs so different.

If u r going to react to spring day, the music video references a tragic incident which happened a few years back and there are videos explaining it. I hope you will watch it ( if not on camera, on your own) to get an idea of why it's such an important song for army as well as BTS. The song has never left the Korean music charts since it release in 2017.

I agree, but I want to say - don't feel like you have to react to it, and take care of yourself. I want you to know about it, but you don't owe us your reaction.

The song Spring Day is connected to the Sewol Ferry Tragedy was reminiscent of 911 here. It was the worst tragedy in modern day Korea. Spring Day was written by RM and it is about a discussion that he and Suga had about loosing people you love in death. However this song coincided with the Sewol Ferry so the video is connected to the tragedy. This came at a time when everyone in Korea and even us foreign fans needed comfort. This song has become almost sacred as a result and is considered the Queen of all BTS songs. It’s important to understand how it is connected and that BTS was willing to risk their entire careers to do what was right. This was very early (2014) and they were very new and had no clout. There is more but another day…

Didn’t read the comments (cleaning the kitchen) while watching video so if this is redundant, I apologize. There are video(s) from Ghost Band’s (BTS’s band’s name) drummer playing sets with them from his vantage point.
Oh, I love your channel and you. Quirky and interesting. Also, as a musician, I think you will like Jimin’s solo “Lie” which he also wrote. Hitman Bang, RM, and others from BigHit were amazed it was perfect first time in when he submitted it to them.
If you have watched Festa 2021, I would watch it again. It will be even better.
I hadn’t thought about some personalities being overwhelmed by BTS’s more frenetic songs. I guess my manic side can handle it.

They taught me to like hip hop and rap. They taught me to appreciate heartfelt ballads. Spring Day, for example, always tears me up. You should react to the MV and then follow it with an explanation video-- either the one from bulletproof vibes or the one from Italian Army. (They are not the same, so most people have seen both.). Spring Day is considered the Queen for a reason.

You genuinely did not like some songs and that's very fine and it makes it much more impactful when you do like a song. Plus, your musical insight is everything we have been waiting for haha I've never trained in music other than practicing leisurely on piano and guitar. And I realized a long long time ago that I don't have a good sense of percussion sounds/rhythm. I would like to point out the reason BTS have backing track usually is when they are non stop dancing. If you are dancing for two hours at concert while singing there is no way you would do that without one. In this setting where they are sitting they don't need it. I recommend your eyes tell live written by Jungkook for an OST they all are singing in Japanese no backing track.

Spring Day is one of BTS’ signature songs. But NOT to be taken lightly. It reflects on the tragedy involving the Sewol Ferry incident which resulted in the needless deaths of South Korean school children as the crew abandoned them and the ferry sank. Awful indeed. And at the time, the Korean government response was reported to be underwhelming and they discouraged the reporting of details surrounding the event. So, BTS memorialized the students in this song. So sad but a great song and the MV is well worth a watch but with an explanation video to fully appreciate the nuance. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Did you have the subtitles on? We couldn't see them! Especially for Spring Day which is beautiful. There videos for Save Me and Spring Day if you want to react to those.
If you want to extend your reactions there is a behind the scenes shooting sketch for Save Me. I won't spoil it for you but let's just say ponchos were involved! And there is an explanation video for Spring Day which is extremely sad.💜

Someone should link BTS bands point of view during BTS live concert and send it to him. Especially the drummers can. I wish I knew how to do it myself but I’m a young lady born in the Stone Age.

You might want to head to your local movie house to watch their last concert.......I just went and saw it and are new shots and felt like a new concert.......But rumor has it that Suga is going to be doing more producing after his military. And not join the band. Again a rumor so far. Playing until Sunday, hope you are going 💜

Having backing track because they are dancing I have never seen an artist who put on a 100% show with dancing and jumping with no backing track they are humans at the end of the day and the backing track is mostly quite because you can hear their vocals cristal clear

Dynamite doesn't have a backing track much because they really don't do harmonies in it. Unlike Save Me and Spring Day, there are tons of things going on vocally in the back so they used a track. With Dynamite, it's a pretty simple and straight forward song. The few scheduled ad-libs Jungkook does live all the time except occasionally the key change because he's moving too much to do it, so they don't really use one often.

I'm glad you saw the live performance of Spring Day before the MV. Your analysis about the drumbeat was very interesting. The vocal line distribution for that song is very different between live performance and studio version. For example, if you notice JHope started the song for Spring Day followed by RM. In the studio/MV version... it's all RM singing those parts. I hope you'll analyze the music and drumbeat and give us your knowledge of how you hear the two to be different. I presume they are, but I don't have the trained ear to notice it well enough.

Gosh I love your reactions to their music and everything, I just know you're warming up to them, but I just wish at some point, maybe later on you could get into their personalities. I say this because I think this is the closest video you've watch of them all together show their individual personalities, and as a group. Part of the reason their fans are so incredibly in love with them is for their dorky and genuine personalities. As everyone keeps saying their humble and very down-to-earth, even at their celebrity status, they still get praised for being the same group of guys that debuted 9 years ago, but it's their personalities I think you'd love even more. I just know you would, I saw you smiling when they'd get up and start dancing. You wouldn't regret watching some light/funnier videos of them! The more you get to know them, the more you'll love them. They're all so different, but in a way, they're all the same too. All this time getting into them, It's worth it 💜

No offense. They are seated and no heavy choreography so no need for backing tracks. You'll see Suga prove he's live in concerts and not lip syncing b/c of the tracks. Not the only music professional to point it out and respectfully also say it's natural to use. Impressive b/c they have the chops to back it up. People seem to be overprotective b/c BTS and KPOP or international are tried to be downplayed by dismissing as "bubblegum", "fake voting" or "manufactured" meaning all lip synced or don't do own writing or producing. Pretty fronts but not real musicians or artists.
Well BTS definitely proves that wrong along w/ countless others but folks still try or just play blind, deaf and dumb.
Why you are appreciated. You are genuine and honest. Don't have to gush or fake, you were open to give a shot and welcome to change opinions.

Absolutely no offense taken - we all know that backing tracks have a purpose and are necessary since BTS' performances typically involve rigorous choreography while they are singing. Those backing tracks are an assist to fill the song out so our boys can catch a moment here and there to BREATHE!
But with an entire sitting performance like this, that backtrack is not necessary. Although it did feature during 'Save Me' and 'Spring Day' for certain parts because those parts are what ARMY sings at concerts. I like to think BTS didn't do those parts themselves (because they certainly could have) on purpose, as a way to acknowledge ARMY's separation from them at that time during the pandemic.

Well i respect you and your opinions a lot. Because you like their music and what they stand for just by reading their lyrics, watching their performances and their vibes. But you don't know how they started and the introduction to each member of BTS. I can't imagine how you'll react if you get to know their story. Maybe as a reaction or just by yourself, i just suggest you to watch an introduction to BTS members by Taylor nakamoto. It gives you more insight of their personalities and their taste in music and how they participate in production also WHY we ARMY love them and their music to an extent that we fight against systems to protect them.
(Please react to spring day mv and explanation video. Highly requesting for this)
