This is the first time I've ever listened to, "Lie", by BTS and Jimin. This is my reaction and review.

The "lie" Jimin put into the melody itself in his use of major and minor is quite brilliant. It's my absolute favorite of Jimin's solo songs. 💜
Happy Thanksgiving. Lie is indeed a great song. Jimin performs it magnificently. Be sure to watch some of the live versions on your own time, when you get a chance.

Jimin isn’t singing falsetto so it’s not such a strain for him. His voice is naturally pitched high so he doesn’t have to struggle to hit the high notes. The old Jimin suffered from imposter syndrome. He thought he wasn’t good enough to deserve the praise he was getting. There may be more to this than that, only Jimin knows the reasons behind the lie. You really must watch a live version of this and the version he did with Hobi where Hobi sings ‘Boy Meets Evil’ then it merges into, ‘Lie’. Great dancing by both of them.
All of Jimin’s songs are so unique and beautiful. This one is complex in composition but so intelligently done and the lyrics is so perfect for it. A live performance is a must. Jimin is one of the very best performers in the business!🔥
Because of the military service they began to prepare their solo albums, JHope released Jack in the Box, Jin the Astronaut, a single, RM's album will be released next 2nd, December and, probably, Jimin's will be the next...
Jimin has more beautiful solo songs... his OST called With you is soooo beautiful!!! (OST = Kdramas sound track)
They all have solo songs, but so far only the rapline made mixtapes. To me, all masterpieces in their style...

I hope you watch the live, even if you can't release it on here. As with all of the guys, he has more for you to listen to: Promise, Serendipity, etc. He's just an angel. 💜

I’m so happy “thankful” you chose this song. I am waiting patiently for the unleashing of Jimin. I like that he sang a bit lower in this one. On older songs he was lower and kind of growly at times. I can’t Jimout and not trying! 💜💜 Also he is working on a solo album to be out before his military service is due. He’s third youngest so he has some time.
I remember your Black Swan reaction... It was rough. lol. So glad you gave the boys a real chance. You don't realize it yet but by the time you complete this journey you will be changed. It happens slowly, they will get under your skin and work their magic on you. I think you should dedicate one day a week to start the Rise of Bangtan docuseries. It is really well done and you can see their whole journey and it will make you appreciate the music even more.
Lie is truly a masterpiece in my mind. It is definitely one of the top most favorite BTS songs for me.
Yay - you appreciate Jimin! All of Jimin's solos are A+(Lie, Serendipity, and Lie are my favs), and the added bonus is that when Jimin performs live, he also does incredible choreo as he sings. He is amazing. Totally agree with you on Jimin, RM, and V's very unique voices. Love all of BTS, but am really looking forward to Jimin's solo album, as he can go so many directions with his voice and talents. Can't wait to see what he has come up with. Happy Thanksgiving!

He was so young when he did this which really says something about his vocal ability.. Do watch a live version sometime.. He's a trained dancer so its a nice watch..

Our very talented Jimin also wrote a xmas song called Christmas Love (with help from RM and producer Slow Rabbit). It's good! And if it's not on your list of songs to react to, then perhaps listen to it in your own time 😊

Arguably one of my favorite song. His solo album is coming (my guess first half of 2023) I'm so excited and curious! So many possibilities with Jimin! We saw him in pictures with amazing producers and a gospel choir in the studio! Rnb, acoustic, orchestral, else? I'm really curious he's so versatile!
All their solos are amazing so far and RM just revealed his tracklist it's gonna be pretty legendary with collabs with Erykah Badu, Anderson .Paak, Mahalia and major Korean artists, I'm guessing a lot of jazz, hip hop influences and acoustic sounds! But honestly I've been ARMY for quite some time now and no matter what I expected it's always different, it always sounds new, I'm always surprised. They have 300+ songs catalogue but very few tracks sound similar, and it makes sense because their dischography follows their artistic growth and maturity but it's not that easy to do..their journey (musical and as humans) is really fascinating.

Jimin will be coming out with a solo album soon and I can't wait because jimin is like you said very talented..hes also supposed to be doing a collab on it with suga on a R&B he said in festa. I too think jimin is held back immensely, as his variations on music are all so different when he comes out with something. Happy Thanksgiving.

This song is from their 2016 Album WINGS and also plays a crucial part in the storyline.BTS have this fictional world that we call BTS' UNIVERSE: THE FICTIONAL WORLD OF BANGTAN. They have this story line that runs through their series of music videos, short films and highlight reels. This story line started from their MOST BEAUTIFUL MOMENT IN LIFE ALBUM (HYYH) to their WINGS ALBUM until their LOVE YOURSELF (HER, TEAR, WONDER & ANSWER) ALBUM SERIES. Everything is connected to the story, that's the reason why there are a lot of symbolism in each of their songs, MVs, choreographies, live performances, external notes, etc. There's a DEEPER meaning to everything, I mean literally DEEPER than what you think. This is the song that got me to bts and for that it has always been my all time favourite..I literally had goosebumps when I first listened to it and I had never felt like that before while listening to music..it was very different to what I listened to .what a masterpiece

Pretty sure Jimin didn't go for the big high notes in this one because it is an incredible dance as well as vocal performance when performed live. I believe, Jimin wrote Lie when he was struggling with his body and his role as the tough guy, within BTS. It was during this time that his image softened and he seemed to be much more comfortable with himself and this has continued on to give us the Jimin we love today. I do hope you react to a live performance or a stage mix, which gives a complete appreciation of how much the music, vocal & dance complete each other!

what about love yourself? since that´s what the song was all about😁all of the wings solo songs is about not loving themself in many ways. and then for the next album they focus on how to love yourself. i really love that they do this to highlight their ow stories and then end up helping so many fans around the world.
i think you should watch rise of bangtan you will learn much more about bts and kpop and it´s so professional. it feels like watching a real documentary
Oh, by the way, do watch Danger dance practice, this is from many years ago when they were struggling to get some sort of recognition.. They literally dance their hearts out in this one, great choreography and you can hear them panting at the end.. The effort is tremendous and I feel for them here.. They look like kids toughing it out ..

Hello, Merry Christmas, I hope this note finds you well. I have been missing your reactions. RM has a new album out and each song is a different genre. And as usual each song needs a deep dive. Also would love to see you react to the dance practice of BTS run. You may not be a dancer but we can always appreciate the art. And they do love to make art. It proves in songs like, Blood Sweat and Tears.
Anyway I just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas. Did you know that 80% of Koreans are Christian? They converted from a Confucianism. They loved the teachings of Christ and Catholics are pretty big over there. They did not like the idea that if you were born into a slave family you will remain a slave. It was not until the 1980s that democracy started happening for them. And North Korea is still quite a threat and if you are found with a BTS album on you you go directly to jail. These are things army does not like to talk about. I will talk about anything. There are videos of people who have gotten out of North Korea and have to go down a Chinese river or something and they are always caught. And they are usually raped and tortured by the Chinese government. A mother and daughter try to escape and one of them was forced to return back to North Korea. Sorry I don't remember who it was the mother or the daughter. But I know the daughter did a few RUclips videos when she got here to America and tells the story. Yes, BTS is kind of political. In fact China will not let them in either and we have the Chinese BTS army. So the Chinese army will pay for big advertisement space in places like Manhattan and also in Seoul Korea (even the buses. ) I watch a Seoul Walker and he takes his camera and walks around seoul (usually does not speak and it's a very nice peaceful walk especially in a snow scene) and around about one of the boys birthdays you can see his camera zone in on the advertisement of the boy's faces and in the corner it will say from Chinese army. So V's birthday is coming up right after Christmas. And if you look around you will see the pictures in Manhattan and in the corner it will say from Chinese army. And also in Seoul. Again I hope that everything is okay and we all miss you 💜

Lol yep once you Jim-in, you can't Jim-out. Can't wait for all the solos but the possibilities Jimin & Vs. RM as well especially w/ the list of collaborators.
Jimin is often accepted as yes dancer and corals but not credited as much for his musicality as the others have had that opportunity. How he expresses so dramatically would enrich if he produced more. At least what I've observed.
Jimin is so talented, it's horrible how his company hides it so much. All the members have already done at least 1 solo project since they announced their break, Jimin's last project was given several months ago and it was thanks to an industry friend who asked him directly, because if they asked the company first, it would never have told Jm, as has happened before, they only know how to sabotage their artists, Jimin's first OST was a example.

Jimin is one of a kind but don't forget Jungkook is the main vocalist of BTS. Also Jungkook performed at the World Cup opening ceremony all by himself FIFA asked for him personally

I know he didn't say anything Jimin being main vocalist, I was only point it out to the gentleman who is the main vocalist, he has not seen the guide to Bangtan Seven, which personally I think he should check it out to get a clear picture of who does what within the group. He has watched enough videos to educate himself, so he should get to know the members now that was the point I was trying to make. And like I said Jimin is one of a kind
