I completed honour mode with this build and it worked really well. Everyone uses the same open hand monk build with thief rogue, so if you want something different here you go! If you have any questions lemme know.
I ran this build on my previous honour mode, but midway changed it to monk open hand with tempest cleric as I wanted to use nyrulna. So because I have used tavern brawler monk build before, I tried dex monk and utilized monk weapon. Since trident is martial weapon so light cleric is no go. I changed the build to actually utilize thunder damage. Using the gloves of belligerent skies and that absolute ring (+1 thunder damage) and the ring giving enemies daze if they’re reverberated. Overall quite strong and more importantly fun.
I like the concept, but it's just as i suspected, you don't get nearly enough spell points/ki points for both classes. Like, fireball turn 1, spirit guardian turn 2 and then what? You're left with only 1 lv 3 point before your long rest. I guess you could use the amulets to regain 2 points, but even then they are usually reserved for your actual spellcasters. The idea is really cool, but it looses so much in actual gameplay, which is a shame
It's not as bad as it seems. I never ran out of ki points as those come back on short rest and there's an amulet for more. For the level 3 spells, the key is to not blow through them every fight. Save them for when the opportunity presents itself, like for bosses or big aoe fights. You can get by with using 1-2 fireballs or 1 spirit guardian a fight. And remember, you still have two main hand attacks for fillers. A lot of times stunning strike will be the better play depending on the enemy/fight/difficulty.
Nothing worse than these nerds coming to thematic builds to try and sound smart like we haven't all played their cookie cutters already. Not everyone has to run broken builds to succeed, kid. The game isn't that hard

Very creative. I really like your builds.
Ty! I'll probably do the full dual wielding (mostly crossbows) build that I used for Minthara next.
