Getting it done, I just got my engine back from the shop, 100% built gen 4 5.3, rings gapped, and everything arp, shooting for 900 at the tire
Great video! I always thought it was best to have the regulator close to the tank?
I never knew you could tie into the original stock fuel lines? Crazy I have been running an-6 high pressure fuel hose.
Stock truck rails internal dia is like 3/4-7/8"
I was talking about the line. Thats why I attempted to cut out where I initially said rail lol
Pretty straight forward, I was curious how I would do this. If I ever get another 944 I would love to drop a 5.3 in it. Good video bud!
Fresking love my LS swapped 944
It is A RIOT!
Looking good definitely when i do the ls swap ill be bringing the car over to the shop
When it comes to making horse power, there are hundreds of different ideas and tempers can increase. But getting fuel to the engine has many fathers who are felt they are right. It was internet the fuel line system you explained with 1 into two, then two into one, with a single return using the Corvette filter. I am simply happy when people change the fuel filter. You can't get it off as it's covered in dirt, metal is rusted and certainly can't blow thru it. I never threw away a filter w/o blowing thru it to answer a question I will ask the customer. Where do they get there fuel? Suggestion to change it sooner to prevent injector issues.
Some stations are better than others with clean fuel from the pump, into the tank. (I am not an engineer as just a contractor labor for ACDelco). I held tech seminars in 7 Midwest states for up to 100+ mechanics / techs. Teacher of two day classes on 30 subject (6 electrical w/lab scopes) in 13 tech colleges and 5 warehouse distributors and the defects returned. Some where actually sold by ACDelco. They gave us no Union type benefits and salary based on where you lived, not where you went.
At the time 1977, my service mgr ask me to take test from NIASE that started in 1974, I think. I had no idea what it was or turn into. 5 years then all expired, went back 6 times. Passed L1 & P2 later when asked.
I was surprised by your creativity when plumbing the fuel system. I don't build or work on 1,000HP cars and never will. Your ideas are completely off the chart and cool. Yes, fitting add up quick but I am not sure if you knew that "Holley" owns 80 some companies now including "Earls Fittings", a fuel pump company, engine builder company and so on. If you are buying it for performance, chances are it's owned now, by a company that built 2 small cars in 1900, then asked to make carburetors for use in the new aircraft industry. Holley still owns both cars.

(LS swap into 67 C10 is my project for me) I hope everyone gets to build there vehicle during this time! A daily driver that makes them happy!
I’m fighting a PO300 code replaced injectors, plugs wires, coils it’s a Ls swap in 89 c1500 I’m using a 255lph pump, corvette regulator,6an lines and new sending unit. I have 58 psi when it primes and at idle it has 70psi. Would that be causing my PO300
your Corvette regulator failed. The 255LPH over powers it. It's common with the vette filter regulator. throw in a normal regulator setup. even the Holley regulator shown in this video is hit and miss. your PO300 code is probably fouled plugs due to running rich.
I’m hoping you’re able to answer this question for me real quick. I want to do a setup like what you’re showing here with an inline pump, but I’m unsure if that means removing the stock fuel pump that’s already in the tank? For reference, I’m doing this on a 1993 with currently a 2.3 in it. In this case am I removing the original stock pump out of the hanger assembly, or leaving it in to push fuel up to the inline one. This might have a very obvious answer but it’s just unclear to me
Yeah, you'd be better off removing the old one. I know of some people who have left the stock one in there and pulled through it but it reduces the flow of whatever pump you put inline. You might as well just put an in tank pump in when you remove the old one
Good video 👍🏽 Silly question, can I use my existing 3/8” stainless steel fuel lines on my Firebird? I think it should work, but I’m curious if anyone has tried?
Yeah, you definitely can
@@SniderTron3000 thanks for clarifying, I figured I could, but I wasn’t sure if there were any specific limitations. 👍🏽
Great information! Great video
What color blue is dat
What headers are those?
I'm familiar with the NHRA rule on mounting the regulator on the firewall, but I'm not sure if there is a rule prohibiting mounting it to a plate which bolts to the firewall. I'd assume that attaching a mounting plate to the firewall would make it the "firewall" by technical definition. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of this?
Great vid nice and simple, and made some good bonus points, glad I watched to the end!
Have you have any issues with fuel starvation while cornering using a tank without a sump?
I wish you werent so far away from me, i need my redone 97 c1500 ls swapped!
Great Video. I may try that Walbro pump in an Lt1 project. 👍
Where can I purchase the holly regulator/filter.
Thanks, I’m starting my ls swap soon and this helped me a lot
What parts did you use to mount the engine to the frame and exhaust manifold?
What’s a good e85 pump for twin turbos
Can the stock regulator handle decent power?
Actually bigger in dia then the holley rails
Regardless what a customer might tell, never mis treat the paint job. Always assume the customer thinks it’s a antique Ferrari. Trust me!! “It’s getting painted anyway” turns into “you owe me”
That is a very good point that I'm sure was learned the hard way. Props 🤙
@@SniderTron3000 2 $6 moving blankets from harbor freight for every car that comes into shop. Car covers get nasty and hold dirt and detritus. Thank you for the info you share
Where did you get your ls swap harness, I’m also in Michigan
This is a Holley terminator x
I'm sure this will help someone.. btw it seems the outro music has gotten alot louder lately
Yeah, I forgot to turn it down. I was editing this in a bit of a hurry
So can you adjust the fuel pressure on that Holley unit. Or is it preset ?
Its preset
Thanks for this
Progress🤙🤘
How much does the intake cost $$$
They're like $8-900. It's ridiculous
If i use the truck intake manifold with the built in regulator, do i still have to run a fuel regulator or is that all?
Nope, you'll just need the lines up to the intake
@@SniderTron3000 thanks for the info
Nice
Bro why does my LS truck intake only have an inlet but not a return?
Its probably a later year. I don't remember offhand what year they changed it. The TBSS ones also only have 1 port. I believe they're regulated in the tank?
I bought a Corvette fuel filter regulator because my intake didn't have a return.
👍👍🇨🇱
Where are you located in Michigan?
By Charlotte
@@SniderTron3000 Now way! That’s not too far from me. I lived in Mason for a little bit.
How much is your service
Idk, I've been thinking about not doing much customer work anymore.
O ok it’s cool u do some good work tho
I'm gonna do the exact same thing on the exact same car 6.0 on a 75 delta 88 convertible. Like everything
Praise jesus!
Where are you located
I'm by Hastings, MI
Unfortunately you are wrong on the second type you described. I will lean out the second bank at higher power levels, but you do you son.
