- Most of you really wanted to see this thing cleaned up. A guy got to thinkin about it, and I agree. There's just too much good rust color, mixed paint, dents, and character peeking out under that moss and mud not to see what's truly under there! After a good pressure washing I'll give you another walk around so we can see what the old Ford F250 really has to offer!

Ya'll want to see part 3? If so, what should it be about?
Cookies.....
Beat the shit out of it on some trails.
Patch bed with signs
Gas tank install or cleaning
Put a clutch in and test onner
Just imagine.... Waking up in the morning, getting a cup of coffee to sip on and looking out the front window to see what kind of day your gonna be working with........ AND SEEIN A GUY OPEN HIS TAILGATE WITH A SHOVEL
Ha best day ever😎
My poor neighbors 🤷♂️😜
That would make my day to see that lol
Haha
milk gushed out my nostrils.
A guy can’t help but get excited when he starts his internetting machine to find a notification that the best mechanic put out a new video on the RUclips’s.
There Is a green fungus in my ass
@@alexeaton3831 mustie1 has a new video out?
Sounds like you're doing the RIGHT thing...
South Main Auto put out a new video today?
@@ianwinfield929 I got a stern look from my daughter when my 5 year old grandson said "I'll be dipped!" to her after a day with me!
After bingewatching a half a dozen ep's I realized the addiction is about watching someone bring something disposed of and neglected get brought back to life and function. That's fine...
Come on this would make a great 1st vehicle for your young fella, road sign the floors and bed fix the brakes maybe put a blanket on the old bench seat for him. He could drive something with a lot of character ta High School one day. Plus he would have the great story of how he rescued it from a field with his Dad.
Couldnt agree more.. Bradley deserves that old truck after helping yanking it out of that old farm field.
Making memories with his dad 😎
Yeah put a 352, or a 390 in it jazz it up a bit
I drove a 69 Chevy to hs. Definitely different than everyone else that's for sure
This guy is literally Bob Ross If he was a mechanic. He’s just so chill and calm about everything
wow yes I agree lol
omg i see that
Bob Ross meets Red Green
“We’re just gonna beat the devil out of this little carburetor here.”
@@DetroitNerd holy shit greatest comment ive ever seen
Definitely boiled linseed oil. Almost spit out my drink when you broke out the shovel to open the tailgate. Another great one pal!
Thanks Erik
That was a Henry model combo shovel and tailgate tool.
@@tombob671 I believe a guy can now find it listed in the Ford catalog as a Motorcraft spark plug remover.
@@tombob671 YEP! SH-1000 tail gate tool.
I always watch these pressure washing videos nights when I cant sleep. It's so soothing with how satisfying it is knocking all the build up off. It just knocks a guy RIGHT out... Or maybe it's the wobble pops. Not sure both are AMAZING!
What a super positive guy. "That's not a rust hole that is a filtration system" 😂😂😂😂
the pressure washing every peice of mold off the paint just tickled my OCD the right amount, 10/10 vid
Haha.. thanks Bob!! Glad you enjoyed
very satisfying, drank my morning coffee to it, so gooood!
Thanks
Meanwhile... downstream at the sewer processing plant...
"Why does it smell like 409, brake cleaner and a scene from the movie ferngully?!"
Watched part 1 and it brought back memories of working many, many hours with my Dad . Good on you guys .
Oh , and my Dad brought home a new 1967 Ford 3/4 ton with 352 / 4 spd. that was the first new " Car " that I had ridden in . It cost him $ 2300.00 .
It's actually relaxing watching all that growth being cleaned off.
I liked watching that as well. People love the before and after. There are people that love watching people detail cars. Something satisfying about it.
It grows back. Experience speaking.
I really love how this guy pulls crap out of a field and it fires up and runs perfectly nearly every time but I can't get my shitbox to idle right to save my life
Leave the paint. It's factory 🏭
He's been beaten once by an f450 big block.
I’m sure he edits out 4 or 20 hours of fixing
Damn i know right!?
Don't call that a shitbox and maybe just maybe she will idle
Your folksy run throughs of your fixer uppers are just plain fun to watch. Many thanks for taking the time to record all this
Hey derek, I just wanted to let you know you are so freaking amazing I just watched when you put the brakes on the f250 perfect I so appreciate you . Thank you for all your hard work.
Three comments:
A) you're going to need a lot of Wimbledon White
B) I'd like to see how you pound those dents out or straighten the bumper
3) You'd better put Bradley back in charge or the whole project's bound to tank
🤣🤣💯✔
That's good ol metal, heat that door give it a slam bet it pops right back out
we're gonna skip all of that, put some unleaded in er and send it
If anything paint 'er yella and do a tribute to this. ruclips.net/video/mAFKqkifqBM/видео.html
You know you’re doing something right when you’ve made my “too cool for school” teenage son laugh multiple times throughout this video. 💪🏻😂
hah, you guys rock! Watching your new video right now on ol' monitor #2 😎👍
Vice Grip Garage Haha well thanks. And you’ll notice we even got Nathaniel to laugh in that episode too! Lightening apparently DOES strike twice! ⚡️😉
i'm a huge fan of Derek's bottom-to-top approach to cleaning vehicles. Really calms the nerves.
I've not seen not one mechanic that can wash a car or truck.. seems they all start in the middle...Top down people
@@user-ow9zt2tb9dlol I think that's what I was saying
Watched part one....UNBELIEVABLE resurrection! You DO perform miracles operations on these! I’m fascinated, and what a great instruction! Absolutely love this brother, Derek!
Thank you very much
Those holes in the bed are called “floor drains”, you have to order those special
🤣🤣
Na, its weight reduction! It's now a superleggera (super light)
Those came stock in the rust belt. They were self forming in about 3-4 years. No charge.
It is where you drop your beer cans, when the cop walks up to your vehicle.
Totally factory!
That's an uncle jessie special!!
If you get this reference, you had an allright childhood.
Shepard to lost sheep, you got your ears on?
Uncle Jessie's was a 74 or 75 though, but danged close
Yipper
the tow truck too.. if I am not mistaken. I drove a 74
@@ViceGripGarage Dem DUKES, Dem DUKES......................YEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
I'd say this truck can scarcely believe its luck that it found you! :D Honestly, I'd love to see it get a full mechanical overhaul down to replacing bushings and balljoints throughout and just repair the rot and leave the paint as is. It's wearing its years well!
Glad to see the truck cleaned up so nice! I am looking forward to seeing the bed repairs.
"Ya wanna make sure you really soak the electronics!"
Gotta dig right in there
No Shiit! ! ! Pains me to watch! Unless your installing a new harness... Which is a good idea, them ole wires get all cracked up... when hosed down :)
Good Idea, I'm Going To Go Soak My Batterie
something this old not going to hurt it any
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"you wanna make sure you really soak the electronics..." lmao i'm dying this guy is awesome
@GARRETT .....I hear ya buddy - Derek is so frickin' funny. I'll be out in my garage just a laughin' my ass off - and almost in tears sometimes getting ready to piss myself and my wife comes walkin' in and asks me whats so funny - I try to explain - but she doesn't grab the concept of it - you know women - they don't like mechanical shit like us guys do - and she would never be able to understand his sense of humor....but us guys do
Reminds me of the great times I had with a '62 f-100 I had back in the '70s. Y-block, 3 on the tree. Great old truck, could not kill it. Best time was when the hood blew open at 60mph on a b usy highway. Woke me right up! Love all the old trucks and cars you find.
Always enjoy your videos! Please keep them coming , especially with family. I love how Bentley gets in there and helps out.
"The old Toyota Celica's popped" hahaha I'm dead
surprises a guy when it happens
I'm a chevy guy, but these are my favorite generation ford trucks! Back when trucks were built out of steel and not plastic. Both ford and chevys of these years were really excellent trucks and worked hard their whole lives and a few bucks and you got a great work horse!
You know, a guy really appreciates your videos, please keep it up!
Thank you sir
been watching a quite a few of your videos , and Vise Grip lodge , very cool that you finding these old cars , trucks , and pretty much anything with a motor and trying to get them to start and drive , I say keep doing what your doing , enjoy watching the videos along with the wife .
I know it's an old video but adding your kid to the mix just made me love ya more. Have yunguns meself and bonding is key. Keep it up grip, yur doin good..😁
My younger brother (34) and I went and looked at (and subsequently bought) a 91 Chevy pickup. It was a bit of a trip but not too bad. We popped the hood and I looked at it and said "Oooh that's fact-ry" and he about wet himself he was laughing so hard. It was at that moment I discovered that he was also a huge VGG fan. It made for some great conversation on the way back home.
“My old Toyota Celicas popped”
takes a guy by surprise

I always like that old floating rib getting unhappy when your reaching for something. Almost got it just a little more O the side is getting cranky but I ulmost got it just a little more pop dammit that's going to hurt for like twenty minutes
Just discovered this channel, watched both the ford truck videos so far, you are awesome man, hilarious! Little bit educational too which I like being a younger man I know very little about the old stuff. Awesome videos keep them coming!
That montage music starting at 16:18 when you started pressure cleaning is on point. All your montage music is always on point.
Hey Kid, you have here one of the most addictive, entertaining and enjoyable channels. Whatever you decide to show has my vote. Thanks for sharing from that old Yorkshire "Geezer" in Ireland.
Thank you!!

Networks spend millions on content and I'd rather watch Vice Grip!
I’ve just watched a guy jet washing an old Ford pickup for about 29 hours. It was freakin awesome. She’s really come around! What a lovely old truck. Loving the patina on these actually...
BEEN WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS AND HAVE TO SAY YOUR A REAL DEAL DOWN TO EARTH GUY..KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.I HAVE OWNED MOST OF THE CARS AND TRUCKS YOU HAVE POSTED..LOVE IT...
Rescuing this old Ford just earned you a sub! Get it running well, brakes, clutch, a little welding and some glass and you have a bad ass rolling conversation piece!
thank you for subscribing I really appreciate that
A fella's got to admit , for a truck left for dead , " she's solid " .
I’ve bought worse lol Canadian salt seems to do a lot of damage
A guy would think washing a vehicle would be a boring video but I got to say this one was really satisfying
Mmm! That orange moss, that's the up north stuff. That's how you know it's good.
6 minutes and I've already had quite a few laughs, nothing new in this great channel!
Thanks Logan!
I'm getting used to your back woods humor. Reminds me of Red Green humor.
Thanks buddy
@@chha6439 hey now, let's not go to far
I loved that show. Good old Canadian show
I love Red Green. These two are alike for sure there.

I have a lot of favorite stuff to watch on your videos, but right up at the top is the high pressure washing!
Soooo satisfying....
Thanks,
Ram
it's wonderful watching you worker up, I love your sense of hummer and you make my nights filled with laughter and I learn something. Who would er guessed. Thanks
I would love to see a rebuild on the inline 6. See how smooth you can get her to run. Then maybe pull a stump or two with it. And a traffic sign/license plate welded in the bed of course, you can’t just mention that and not do it because that is just cruel.
hahaha
“Well I’ll be dipped” has now became part of my daily vocabulary...
Hey there, really enjoy your ease and knowledge. Thanks for getting your work on the air. I restore vintage RV/campers. My experience an easier way to get rid of that moss is a solution of bleach, dawn and awesome in a spray bottle-spray solution on an area and wipe it down-it’s a lot easier and use much less water. I will wash down a whole camper this way but usually a section at a time as I’m working on a particular area.
Good on You For Cleaning Up The Old FORD & I Can't Hardly Believe It Still Has The Wind Shield Washer BAG On The Inter Fender , Way Cool 👍
Was your neighbor carrying a rifle when he walked by? Lol

as somebody who is an aficionado for car details, i screamed internally when you power washed the inside of the car 😂😂😂
"My Toyota Celica Popped". I watch your videos and am constantly laughing at your humor. Keep it up. You always make my day!
"Is that a bullet hole? Jiminy!" Hilarious!!!! For video part 3, keep on working on her toward being a daily driver. She's too nice to tear up.
U didn't eat dirt, thats called "Ford Snacks"
haha, I see
Junk when it was made and time hasn't made it better. 70lbs intake manifold? please.
@@Tsalinger the reason the fe intake manifold is heavy is because when they designed the engine they had racing in mind. In nascar you couldn't have aluminium heads but you could have an aluminium intake so they just made the intake part of the heads to shave weight and it worked. It does put a strain on the back when lifting it off though!
My favourite channel! Quite humorous and I get to learn a thing or 2. Well done sir 👍
Watching you get this truck going, is making me excited about my Papa's '66 F100 custom cab that I inherited. Just waiting for spring to free her from her cryochamber and get her in the garage. Hasnt ran or been driven since '97!
Doin the same thing with my grandpa right now fixin it up after sitting a few years
I learned how to drive in that exact truck 66 custom cab 300-3spd. We eventually sent it off to the scrap yard but someone bought it and restored it to factory new. I miss that truck.
Love seeing these old Fords being fixed up and given some of the attention they deserve, I have a 1970 F250 in great condition I purchased for 200$ and I couldn't be happier with it. If you do a part three maybe show some more about the interior such as the gauges and any future plans you have with the truck.
What a great buy! We'll see what else we can do with the old girl
Watching those years of crud coming off. So satisfying!
sure changed her!
so satisfying to watch love them old field and barn finds
Absolutely my favorite videos so far!! Thanks for sharing and keep up da Gud work ya know!!
Yep, I really like this type of a find. A part #3 would be great.
Really warms my heart almost brings a tear to my eyes just seeing how tough an how much one of those old trucks can really take I know my dad put mine through hauling regularly 2 tons of mulch gravel an asphalt never even squatted the rusted in place leave springs never bogged it down just took whatever the fuck we through at it
My buddy had a 68 we would go fishing in like 50 years ago. Great times in a great truck.
Just saw you on RUclips. Great to watch. I've always been looking for a older truck .
Was perusin' the ole' RUclips and found your videos. Got hooked and started watching all of them. You seemed faintly familiar but chocked that up to the friendly Minnesota accent. Then realized those are the wheels/tires off my '79 F250 you had bought from me. Happy to see them used, hope they're working out
This takes me back to a day when I was being taught to drive my dads '67 F-100. Thanks for the memories.
Thanks for watching Kenny

I can't believe I just watched the pressure washing of lichen etc from an old truck. It seemed to have the same satisfying effect of pulling weeds! Keep it up!
I don't know why I just enjoyed watching you pressure wash a truck. But somehow it's always entertaining and I like that you're getting into the old fords.
