240B is around 26lbs unloaded. Can you lift it? Yes. Can you shoulder fire it? Even though the official military manual for the US Army says you can, it is hard for the average person to do for more than a few seconds. I'd say even if you're a peak athlete, you wouldn't want to, you'd just burn your arms out really fast.
If I recall the 240B is roughly 30lbs. loaded, You can shoulder it but due to the length and weight distribution it is very difficult, and meant to fired from the prone anyway. I have shouldered it, and even as a lifetime weightlifter and machinegunner it is incredibly hard to sustain. Even basic maneuvering is pretty difficult, it's like running around with a barbell.

There's a lot of animation mistakes in the guns. To be fair on the guns that don't exist or are cursed, this is set on a fictionalized future that somehow has Russia as the rival superpower even though China would probably be the more logical rival to the US even after that whole civil war thing back in BF4.
You can open the top cover on the M60 without charging it if you're partial reloading since the bolt is already back because the gun is open bolt, however if you notice in the game when the cover is opened no matter what the little roller is forward indicating the gun isn't cocked...
One of the animators for BFV's guns did some of the 2042 weapons and some movement animations (not all tho). Portal's guns were done by a separate (and supposedly inexperienced team)

The bolt on an M1 dosent always go forward on its own. I have an M1 and it's kept well and always clean yet most of the time when I load it I have to push the bolt handle.
As per that Garand sin, tapping the bolt to send it into battery should't be IMO counted as a sin. Not using the clip release, that's wrong, but if you look at videos by Hickok45, 9HoleReview's Practical Accuracy, Administrative Results, or GunsOfTheWorld, you can see all of them either tugging the bolt handle back, or slapping it forward to give the bolt just the little bit of momentum to overcome the friction within the en-bloc clip. My personal 1955 International Harvester Garand also does this. Amusingly enough, it also depends on whether I load the cartridges into the clip left or right side first. with the left side first loading being harder to insert, but sends the bolt automatically home more often.
The ballistics in 2042 are.. interesting. I’ve been cheesed out of hits that were dead on and given headshots that were nowhere near the guy let alone their head Also I feel like a cheating asshole when I use my .50 w/ ironsights and drill through a whole squad of mfs w/ 100% accurate hipfire. Changing the ammo type doesn't mean you change the ammo size the differents between normal and armour piercing ammo is the material and shape of the bullet but they still fit the same gun.
The MCX i showed changed the weapon from a rifle caliber AR to a pistol caliber SMG. Also note that the SCAR mags i chose had the label "Heavy" and "Standard" mags. Insinuating that it's supposed to represent the H and L variants even though the L variant used a different magazine and mag well.
@@munanchoinc Since nothing really changed with the scar when changing ammo types it's safe to assume they all use the same caliber. M5's smg mag is totally ridiculous no debate necessary. But asuming that the scar uses different calibers and not just different ammo types seems very far fetched.

It's been a while since I shot an M240B, but I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to let the charging handle (and bolt) fly forwards when cocking it. It's supposed to be locked to the rear in proper use.
As a person who enjoys some bullpups ever made. Such as P90, AUG, Tavor, RDB, and such... Bullpup shouldnt touch pistols. Then people made bullpup pistols

God watching the animations for these guns reminds me why I stopped playing after an hour. They are so sloppy, they look framey in game like they’re reloading in 30fps or something, the recoil patterns for almost all the guns felt so strange I can’t pin my finger on it they just felt off, the lack of guns compared to other battlefield games, the boring selection of guns we’ve seen almost a million times now. Like god I cant believe DICE is actually sticking with this game, just throw it out, burn it, purge it from existence and make a not shit Battlefield game please Jesus Christ.

The Panzerschreck heat shield wasn't added until 1944. The one in game is the RPzB 43 version.

What you're seeing is advanced warfare.
You need to realize that, they can't change the guns in Portal, as they are supposed to act similarly to how they did in the old BF games.
