Bad animations no questions, but the sound design of bad company was pretty awesome. Maybe not that much realistic but earbleeding satisfying.

Another problem I noticed that wasn’t pointed out is a problem thats practically universal on all of the guns in the game, where the spent casings eject from somewhere more like the handguard or even the barrel instead of the actual ejection port, Another thing is for the RPK, the charging handle is completely missing while firing and being idle with the gun, but once you reload the RPK the charging handle just magically reappears, then disappears when the animation is finished
The most glaring case (pun intended) of this issue is the m1 garand where the casings come out of the barrel. I believe the design decision for this was to show the shell casings being actively ejected for style points.
It's kinda weird they put the M1928A1 Thompson in rather than an M1A1. I know they're reusing a model, but still. Also the Thompson's bolt should lock open with stick mags

@@seanherrmann6301 The reason why they put the M1928 instead of M1A1 I think its pretty sure they just reused the assets from the Pacific war mission in the campaign. They didn't bother putting correctly the model used in this time era, the 1928 as I know saw service in ww2 and was mainly used by gangsters back in late 20s and 30s. But I do not know about any soldier using a M1928 model in Vietnam.
It's a reused model from BF1943, weirdly saying it's and m1a1.
Another mistake you forgot to mention, the PPSh holds 25 rounds in a 71 round drum

I do wish we got a new good full Vietnam BF Game.
You can kinda tell this is an expansion with weapons having highly inaccurate stats as they're functionally re-skins of base-game weapons.

We tend to forget BFBC2 used the same reload animation for most every gun in the game, this is common for some old-gen games
So, if it happens in COD it's bad but if it happens in Battlefield is just "common"?

The RPK not only ejects to the wrong side but when hipfiring ejects like it was from the bottom and when ads looks like is from the left
Considering the settings, the correct gun choices should be
AK47/AKM hybrid - Norinco Type 56

AK and AKM were used by NVA aswell but if forced to choose just one model for the game then Type 56 will be the most fitting, yeah
There were many AK Type-2 here too. Type 56, then Ak type-2 then AKM. For most of the VN wars, the North anti-colonial nationalist lead by the Communist party actually used WW2 weapons and captures US WW2 weapons actually.
Even though the guns are incorrect I love they're design in the game. They all look dirty and beaten up
Also another thing wrong with the M9 flamethrower, it's missing it's pressure bottle and the range isn't that bad
BC2 still best BF. Went downhill fast afterwards.
I personally find BF3 as my favorite.

One thing you missed, the M16A1 is not supposed to have a brass deflector. That was an M16A2 feature.

Actually, the TT-33 is accurate. During the war, we actually fudgingly modified it to fire 9mm rounds for the sake of ammo interchangability?? Anyways, all I know is that shit's real.

I think og BF:Vietnam had just as much 'sins' but all I remember is VC bots killing me, foot soldier, with their Strela manpads all the time and most guns being mirrored

That Thompson was the wrong model. They used a 1928A1 and not the updated M1A1 Thompson late in WWII. Furthermore that smg would have been replaced by the M3 Grease Gun, which was replaced by the M14, which was replaced by the M16:
there is a aftermarket company that makes repro M1 8 round clips. They also make 5 round clips for hunting, and 2 round fore match shooting for the M1.
Extra faults i've found
0:46 - that hammer clearly moves
2:21 - irons dont even line up
3:01 -> 3:12 - fires too fast (???)
3:58 - belt doesnt move when aiming + rear irons missing
5:12 - shell goes a tiny bit too far in + flicks it shut
BC2 gets a pass on its weapon sins because of top notch sound design and fantastic gameplay. Seriously EA all we want is Bad Company 3, not 2042

The M2 flamethrower actually has plenty of fuel available. The 6-9 seconds thing is actually from the pyrotechnic igniter lasting about that long before you have to ignite the next one in the 5-charge cartridge in the front. That's what the front trigger is for

What’s awesome is that in BFV, after you “expel all the ammo” on the M2, the “reload” animation is just them replacing the igniter. It’s pretty sweet.
I really want a fully fledged BF Vietnam game but after 2042 Dice will find some way to mess that up

Really old game that didn't bother about weapon realism or detail,has none??No way.Can't be.
I went into BC2 pretty much blind and these trash-cock animations and models were the first things to jump out. When I first played it, I don't even think I was gun-savvy the way I am now (hence me being a subscriber) and still it all looked terrible. I knew basic stuff like how most guns lock open, racking the charging handle is necessary to clear jams and rechamber for guns that don't lock open, beginners stuff just from observing stuff from previous games I played like CoD or BF4. Even contemporary CoD games compared to BC2-V had animations and models that didn't assassinate any immersion unless you really paid attention to it and knew what to look for - these are so obviously bad that I could probably show this to my mother and she'd note shit like the casing coming out of the shooter's fucking gloves.

They got really lazy with this game
it is a bit understandable they got a lot wrong with ammo counts and operation because some are models ripped from battlefield vietnam or bf1943, over weapons from the base game.
They also reused models from Medal of Honor 2010

The detail I like on the Thompson is that when reloading it for a split second, you can see the guy bumped the magazine on the gun and has to try insert it again

I noticed that the rear sight on the RPK magically appears when you reload
Ak47 has cloth which causes the issue but we all know they where just using far cry's healing mechanic right there trust me
