AEW Wrestler & WWE Legend Christian explains how he invented his epic finisher, the Unprettier, later known as the Killswitch #wwe #wrestling #christiancage
I don't know. I always felt it was slow and clunky. I feel like the guy would have plenty of time to reverse it if he was conscious enough to be standing on his own 2 feet.
@@sama-taco You could be right but I'm not 100% sure. There could have been a wrestler who called it that, but as far as the 2000's goes it was either called the Unprettier, Tomakaze or Kamikaze.
Logically, that would be a devastating move in real life given that your head is being driven into the ground by someone's bodyweight. However, I never liked how slow and clunky it looked. No one in their right mind would just let you do that to them in a real fight. If the guy has the ability to stand up while receiving it, then he is conscious enough to reverse the Killswitch/Unprettier every single time.
You havent ever trained or been in an actual fight have you? In real life your opponent would just take your back and suplex you. Giving your back to your opponent is by far one of the dumbest things to do in a real fight. Literally nobody is going to allow you to do this in a street fight. If somebody tried it on me id feel like Christmas if some dumbass just gave me there back for nothing.
@@preston2636 I agree with you. I'm saying exactly what you're saying. No one will let you do that move to them in a fight in a real fight. I think my first sentence was worded a bit strangely. What I meant in my first sentence is that if someone lets you do that to them in real life, they would be seriously hurt since your bodyweight is driving their head into the ground. I did mention further on in the comment that no one would let you do that move to them. Anyone who is conscious enough to stand up while someone is trying this move on them, they would quickly and easily reverse it. I hope that clears things up. My bad for the confusion.
@@Probblems Yeah, I get that, and I agree with that. It's just that the response I received from him implied that I thought that the Killswitch/Unprettier was a move that could be used in a real fight, which was not what I meant. I was simply saying that if the move were somehow executed on someone in a real fight, it would cause serious damage. That's what I was trying to clear up with @preston2636.
During my HS days play wrestling with my friends I would use this finisher but renamed it the guillotine face drop since it resembled the position of an opponent about to have their head cut off.
I remember seeing it done by king on Tekken 2 at the start of his chain grabs, then seeing Christian do the reverse version of that one sequence but dropping his opponent on their head. It was brilliant. All my friends thought I was crazy saying it’s the same thing but reversed and modified 😂 (told them the same thing about the bertabreaker which is the exact start of Kings chain grabs)
I remember wrestling my friends on the trampoline and i remember doing this move on my buddy he tried to lift me but slipped because the trampoline was wet and i fell towards the side and landed on the ground but my friend hit the metal and the springs smh definitely was a devastating move because he broke his nose
I never understood why Christian never got a push. He just has this great presence that is just GOLD for a wrestler. He looks fantastic as a face and a heel, his voice is really cool and his promos are very intelligent. He should have gotten more love, for sure.
Wanna know why? Vince didn’t like his face Seriously Nothing about him as a person, he just fucking hated his face for some reasons the same way you might hate cucumber (hi taker) or tomatos So he always resisted creative team trying to give Christian segments because he just fucking hated his face for some reason
@@myrillionissilly true, very true, this is just one of my favourite stories personally because of how real it is compared to normal Vince stuff, he just didn’t like his face, instead of the usual twenty year long feuds with an endless amount of drama and twists Nope Didn’t like his face Makes me kinda giggle
This is one of those things where out of habit I still call it the unprettier. Just like Cena’s Attitude Adjustment I still call it the FU, I still call Edges DDT the Edgecution I think its because my fandom for wrestling really peaked in like that 2001 to 2007 era so a lot of what happened in those years is what I associate the moves with or whatever.
It’s a cool move, I don’t mind either if the names, both the unprettier and killswitch are good names
Both were perfect names for his character at different times in his career
The unprettier is an amazing finisher
genuinely one of the worst finishers ever in my opinion, just looks so awkward and weak

@kipdaedricartifact with finishers like the rko that i dont even know how tf thats supposed to hurt this looks way more brutal.
@@kipdaedricartifact landing on your head is not very weak.
Glad he gave TOmmy ROgers the credit he deserves. Back in the 80's, Tommy Rogers was in a Tag called the Fantastics with Bobby Fulton
I love Christian man. It’s nice seeing him kinda out of character. Wish him and Adam could team again. But I get it.
Ngl I thought it was called the "I'm prettier"
Technically you weren't wrong :D after they got it, they were unprettied so... :D
Chelsea Green's version is called the "I'm Prettier".
@Sharkbite650 no I'm saying even back in the day 00s
@@sama-taco You could be right but I'm not 100% sure. There could have been a wrestler who called it that, but as far as the 2000's goes it was either called the Unprettier, Tomakaze or Kamikaze.

@@djgulstonI think they are saying most moves in wrestling aren’t believable. It’s not just the unprettier.

Nahhhhhhh the Killswitch is such a good name.
When Christian drops the Killswitch, sometimes I'll hear "GO!".
The unprettier is definitely one if my favorites. Always used it in basically every gwm3 where I can create a character...
Always hated it cause everyone got out of it
Dolph is the best seller ever

it basically is that to begin with but good rename
Love the rename!
The move only works with cooperation so your friends were being nice, no reason someone's legs would go down and flatten out.
@@Horsemanpigyes that’s why it’s called play wrestling…
Wow. How'd you figure that out?@@Horsemanpig
Looks pretty scary to take
Throwback to show the first guy being Grand Master Sexay when he very briefly returned in 2004

His finisher is one of the most iconic ones. 🔥🔥🔥
I’ve done this in a fight and surprising it worked
It sounds like cool but like, you can see he is basically just doing what Tommy Rogers did.
You can hear it too since he literally said that
The way ziggler sold it was incredible
I remember wrestling my friends on the trampoline and i remember doing this move on my buddy he tried to lift me but slipped because the trampoline was wet and i fell towards the side and landed on the ground but my friend hit the metal and the springs smh definitely was a devastating move because he broke his nose
Underrated
If im not wrong...isnt unprettier a finisher in the New WWE?
Chelsea Greene does the same finisher as Christian but I believe she call the finisher im prettier
His father was proud but his father is dead
but why blue dots in the background?
J
Little guido in ecw had his version as well
I loved the way that Kenny sold it when Christian did the move to Kenny on a chair for the Impact title. That was ace.
That is what you want a finisher you can do on anybody

It’ll always be the Impaler to me. Brood!
Wasn't the "Impaler" the name of Gangrel's spike DDT finisher?

I always thought it was a lame finisher until I saw ziggler sell it, tbh I wonder how many finishers are actually good when they’re sold properly
The explanation of the name of the move. Never dawned on me why he called it that. I never liked the setup of the move personally
Literally one of the worst looking finishers. It never looked devastating or strong or something. Just weak

Obviously it was a spot cuz it's in Japan 😅
I’m Not crazy about the kill switch but it’s definitely better than that reverse ddt he was using at first😂
