But the uniqueness, for me, lies in the self-realization itself, not that he supposed to be unique in achieving that realization, and sharing the benefits that come along with that realization (to others). Many did that before and after him I know. It's special, but not unique. Maybe the 'romance of being unique' lies in the age of the story and the relationship a lot of us have with old stories and (subconsciously) the way they developed throughout the ages...

I have been a Christian my whole life and im very proud to be but I also have sickness and habits and I pray for God to come into my heart like i hear people talking about and they talk about how he touched them and how amazing it is and close to Jesus Christ they are and they have these amazing stories to tell of how it happened and it's happening to people who aren't even looking for him and they go on to passionately speak of GOD and how he came to and spread there stories and spread his word. I’m exactly like you. I also wish I could have those relationship with God. Even though I don’t want to experience hardships in life in order to experience God like that. I think we should read the Bible more and study more of his words. Get yourself into a Bible study group or fellowship. Go Alpha if you didn’t already. We need to surround ourselves with God’s word constantly. I understand that it’s hard because I’m going through the same thing. We can slowly get there. You asking for this deep connection is a sign that you are a step closer to getting that connection with God. God approaches us differently and some are through life and death experiences, while others are approached progressively and that’s okay. One example is when you get a call from your loved ones just by listening to their voice, you can tell it’s them on the phone because you know them well enough. Same as God we need to be closer to him to be able to hear him. Keep praying and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you and to give you faith! I have been a Christian my whole life and im very proud to be but I also have sickness and habits and I pray for God to come into my heart like i hear people talking about and they talk about how he touched them and how amazing it is and close to Jesus Christ they are and they have these amazing stories to tell of how it happened and it's happening to people who aren't even looking for him and they go on to passionately speak of GOD and how he came to and spread there stories and spread his word. I have asked for this kind of thing to happen to me for GOD to come and touch me like these people talk about please why am I not getting that connection and not feeling him and God coming and speaking to me and having a relationship with me like that is GOD just not hearing me or mad at me i just don't understand bc i want that kind of relationship like that so bad but it's happening to people who at first didn't believe or weren't looking im just wondering what's so wrong with me I have woundered this for a long time please if you could help answer this or help me understand ❤❤❤❤

I’m exactly like you. I also wish I could have those relationship with God. Even though I don’t want to experience hardships in life in order to experience God like that. I think we should read the Bible more and study more of his words. Get yourself into a Bible study group or fellowship. Go Alpha if you didn’t already. We need to surround ourselves with God’s word constantly. I understand that it’s hard because I’m going through the same thing. We can slowly get there. You asking for this deep connection is a sign that you are a step closer to getting that connection with God. God approaches us differently and some are through life and death experiences, while others are approached progressively and that’s okay. One example is when you get a call from your loved ones just by listening to their voice, you can tell it’s them on the phone because you know them well enough. Same as God we need to be closer to him to be able to hear him. Keep praying and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you and to give you faith! God bless you sister!

You have the Holy Spirit living in you! But you want more??? Don't disappoint God by telling Him that He hasn't met your expectations! That is irreverent and presumptious! Forget about other people's experiences and praise God that He has called you by name! (Isaiah 43 1). Hold your chin up. God honors your faith even if, and especially if you don't have "goosebump" experiences that you cherish. You honor God by standing firm on His promises, ALONE and not the "fuzzy feeling" you wish for. Now, don't whine anymore but spend your day praising God for what He's done for you...and get into His Word and read it cover to cover over and over and you'll begin to see God as who He is rather than how you wish Him to be. I am a 73 year old male and papa is trying give you some wise counsel. But with everything said, remember, God loves you, and so do I, my Christian friend!
I feel the same way. I'm a believer. Raised Catholic. Have asked God to come into my heart and to guide my life. I don't feel any difference at all so I have found myself wondering as well.
