It’s been like that for years. Look at the interiors of the A4/A5/Q5… same with A6/A7/Q7. Cost saving? Either way, it’ll make replacing interior parts a lot easier.
Not a fan of SUVs, but this one is on pair with the Q8, design-wise. What a beautiful thing. I wonder why BMW has changed their whole delusional design team... These new gen Audis and Mercs are wonderful. That is german car design in essence: function and beauty, all in one, for everyone. No crazy front grilles, no weird lines that don't talk to each other.
The aggressive headlights are impressive, but I feel like the higher-end models will take the design a step further. The front vents and grilles feature too much plastic for my taste. The 21” wheels are beautiful, though. I’m glad to see real, functional quad exhausts-thank you for that Audi! However, I can already imagine car enthusiasts looking for ways to tune this exhaust system. The rear lights are a significant improvement compared to the previous SQ5 generation. The interior layout is new, but the seats and their patterns seem unchanged. I’m curious how it feels inside in terms of quality. And why is nobody talking about the acceleration figures? Can this car achieve 0-100 km/h in under 4.9 seconds?
Finally a Q5 that’s not awkward pudgy looking. The body reminds me of the GLC, but that’s OK, I loved my 2020 GLC 43. Nice to see the full clamshell hood remains unlike the B10 A/S5, lovely. Audi was smart to keep the V6 turbo and real exhaust pipes. I’m disappointed that the interior knobs and buttons have gone away though. I prefer the functionality of those in my 2021 RS5 and the prior gen GLC 43. Honestly, the infotainment dash design of the A/Q3 seems excellent, better than this. Still, this B10 is definitely worth a test drive, impressive.
Hmm interesting one, could be my upgrade from the RSQ3 but I still think I'll go Macan GTS. I wonder why Audi have a new ICE Q5 but Porsche can't make a new ICE Macan. Audi just don't seem to care about the enthusiast any more.
New Macan is an EV and if you want the quick one, it's over £100k with a few options. We have a Macan GTS, that was £80k with options when ordered. Porsche really screwed up going all electric with the Macan. Now you can only get an EV that will depreciate like a falling brick. I won't be getting another, hence the interest in this SQ5. So you say Audi don't care about the enthusiast when they're still bringing out new ICE models - what are you on about? And it's not Porsche can't make a new ICE Madan, it's they won't make one. You're very confused!
I have a 2018 SQ5 and just hit 100,000 miles with no issues. Great car and rides nice. Fuel economy is also decent considering its performance. I’m glad to see a new one is coming out because soon I’ll be looking for another.

Well, inside the car 🚙, it’s nice 👌 😊 👍 and warm that has 5 door 🚪 hatchback 🚗. The seats 💺 💺 💺 💺 are cosy and comfortable. It’s electric ⚡️ wing 🪽 mirrors 🪞. Made in Germany 🇩🇪. 👍
Would prefer a more rural type of tyre on this car to replace my ICE powered 50 Allroad avant which I have enjoyed for nearly 4 yrs, not interested in EV due to location and rugged terrain
Unfortunately, but the quality of materials in the interior is dramatically low. Mostly plastic itself or other hard materials. I sat and touched the materials in the Q6 E-tron then I was appalled. In the Q5 it will be the same because the model is ranked lower. It's better to buy already current models are much better made. You can't see the cheapness in them.
Wasn’t a fan if the b9 generation of q5s at all, it was bland and felt like it lost the spice of what made the original q5 stand out, this feels like it’s gotten back to its roots 👌🏾I like it.

I quite like it but it looks no different inside to all the other low quality interiors they've launched this year. A premium brand that's no longer premium and the price hikes on new models is incredible. Lots of us will be leaving the brand, they've lost touch.
Not impressed with these latest releases. It's better than the B10 A5 or w/e they are calling it now but the steering wheel ruins the interior plus the screen are crap, I hate them. The B9.5 MMI is hot garbage so maybe they have fixed it in this one.
More cheap plastic, corners cut, drop in quality. Even trying it on by adding the red rhombus to all their cars, when before it was the preserve of only S and RS models. Customers aren't stupid, they see through this. Everything done to reduce production costs and rinse customers for as much as they can get. That steering wheel is the same as a new Peugeot. It wouldn't surprise me if the same factory in China makes them for both brands. Audi, what a shit show and your dealers score the lowest of the low customer satisfaction. Bye Audi.

No, they didn't sell and weren't updated to same specs when the RS3 8Y was launched in 2021. Still mainly based on old 8V model.

We will also showcase the new Q5 the same day. We focused more on the SQ5 since we found it more interesting.
