Why do we need the third touch screen we don't need the third screen THOSE THAT AGREE LIKE PLEASE
It's use full to ask the passenger to put in or update thd navigation without fiddling with the main screen. That always distracts me.
I’m not keen on fully digital controls. I wish car companies would keep some of the basics like heating, as physical controls. Any type of control that means taking your eyes off the road for more than a second is dangerous. And please bring back the physical control dial in the centre console. I don’t buy into fully digital as progress.
I thought that as well. However, my thoughts has changed. With the AI assistant, you can easily ask them to do the basic for you without even looking at another direction.
It's more cost-effective.

Audi made a big mistake when they removed the infotainment rotary dial from one of the previous model updates. Way too complicated to be touchscreen only.
And the have now also removed the volume wheel control from the steering wheel 😮 small thing yes but makes a big difference no difference at all now between vw and Audi interiors
All the customers complain about lack of some physical buttons but the auto industry constantly ingores that fact
The only ones that complain are those who have never owned any of these cars. Actual customers like screens. RUclips commenters think otherwise.
It won’t be smart to go all electric cars for the future. Getting rid of gasoline cars is not good strategy!
The new Q5 looks pretty good - the proportions are better. There was something I didn’t like about the previous one. I think it was the windows at the rear. I wish they’d hidden the rear wiper - it seems rather downmarket of them to have it visible and clutters up the rear but otherwise I like it.
No climate control buttons or knob? Deal breaker alert....
So pretty much everything is on a massive touch screen now. If the touch screen is not working, then you won't even have air conditioning in your car, brilliant!
What you described exactly happened on my GLC. The cockpit turns black and the only way to monitor the speed is through head-up display. 😂

Glad they ditched the split headligths on this one. For once I actually like the exteriordesign on the Q5, but the interior on the other hand is disappointing and soulless. Quit having screens everywhere please.

it’s normally to run electronics etc since vehicle is not on. sometimes plugged directly to the battery itself to keep it charged at all time.

Even though Audi's are not budged cars, still, Audi keeps compromising luxury by implementing low-budget alternatives, like the removal of physical dials and net seat-pockets, Really? Not even Koreans and Chinese do net seat-pockets these days. But Audi and even Merc do.
How long will it last before breaking down ?
Two maybe three years. Usually right after warranty expires.
On average, after 88,000 km (a break-down is defined as a situation where the car has stopped and cannot be restarted).
I had a 2018 SQ5 and it was absolutely fantastic. It never even had one mechanical issue. I switched to a BMW 3 series, which is great… but I miss the SQ5 and will likely be going back to it for this generation 🙌

If there were any logic on your comment about "subtle changes on the design" AUDI wouldn't have completely annihilated the interior as it has done with this generation...

Actually looks closer in design to the first generation model. That has always been the best design.
That front grill is really horrible jizzzzz these guys go from 8 thru 80 in designing cars! Maybe in person will look better sometimes videos and photos mistake!

I didn't notice anything - they looked very clean to me as did the rest of the car.
Swiss buyer here: The Sq5 or a "normal" diesel (since no diesel Sq5 available now) could be my choice. After my current 55Tfsi-e plug hybrid that i love but...honestly i regret not buying the 2023 Sq5 instead.

I never liked the look of the previous Q5. Other Q models were nicer looking. This looks like a big improvement. I'm looking forward to seeing it in the metal.

It's little more than a glorified TIGUAN. With a lot of (extra and overpriced) toys, with bad mileage, and even worse releability.
AUDI used to be a premium brand, just below BMW. Unfortunately, that ended at some point in the late 1990's.
Bit disappointed there’s no option of rear wheel steering but other than that it looks good. Fair warning though Audi, once you go full electric I’m washing my hands of you 😑
If you want physical buttons, buy older car and put a tablet 😅

More spacious: 520l cargo, less than the shorter Tiguan with 600l. At the same length Kodiak has 900l.
