  • I bought the new AVANTI Paint sprayer for only $199 at Harbor Freight and was unsure if it would spray the interior of an entire 2 bedroom house. Although it did AMAZING! I highly recommend this product.

Great job! Spray all your ceilings first and then when you're spraying walls make sure you fasten the tip 90 degrees the opposite way, then you don't have to turn your arm to the side to spray. Your elbow will thank you when your 50 and still humpin' paint.🙂

They have a smaller one that I just returned to buy this one because I started a painting business. I HIGHLY recommend the smaller one for home stuff, I loved using it for work but needed something with more guts but if I wasn't a painter, the little $80 Avanti sprayer is a little heavy weight. I don't think it's worth the $300 (before coup/warranty) for the pro one (unless you live in a 16BR)

"buisness" lol. yes I moved from philly to boulder CO so the bids are a bit better. i returned all the sprayers, after 20 years of brush and rolling I just couldnt get faster and neater with the sprayer, old dog doesnt learn new tricks.
funny the only thing thats changed in a year of BUISNESS aside from moving 1800 miles to a place with much nicer weather, is that I dont use or recommend sprayers lol. if I were gung-ho on hiring 5 teams i'd probably look into it again but im not bidding $300 spray jobs LOL, you should see the skylights I do in some of these houses.
one of the only things I really miss that small sprayer for was taking shelves and cabinets offsite and spraying them in the garage, I guess I could make more money but I just flat out say no to cabinet jobs now anyway. its nice how much bullshit you can say no to when you make enough.

I bought this sprayer and applied 18 gallons of interior primer. By the 16th gallon, the sprayer would only spray for 10 seconds before it required priming each time. I had to start and stop constantly to allow the pump to catch up and pressurize. After a while of that, the sprayer required priming after only 2 or 3 seconds. Also, the pressure is only where you set it for the first 2 seconds, then it reduces to whatever the pump motor can maintain, which is nowhere close to 3000 PSI.
I returned it to Harbor Freight, and will be buying something better.

I had the same problem, its your tip size. .515 or higher and you will have that issue. The smaller the tip the longer it can hold the pressure. Same logic with your hose length. Remember this is a cheap/DIY level sprayer. You need something more powerful for professional use/applications. Lastly the thickness of your paint will also affect your pressure, the more watery/thined out the less issues you will have.

To answer your question if u use 1 gal of paint rolling you’ll use approx 1.5 gal to spray’ Yes it takes more product more so because u have to prime aka fill up the hose so that’s why airless sprayers r great for a big job
But a waste if painting say 1 wall or a dresser’ you’d want to use a cup gun which uses about the same amount of paint as rolling’
The advantage to spraying is much cleaner coverage and faster
Painting is 99% prep 1% painting
If u can see a bump or damage before paint u will see it after’ paint does not cover up or hide imperfections’ that’s where lots of ppl mess up’
What ever it looks like before paint it will look like after surface wise/ damage’
      Prep prep prep my friend’
Also many ppl go buy a sprayer and have zero idea on paint types they throw latex because the box says u can’
If u do it I promise u will not like it’ u grab some flotral and dilute paint’ thin is better’
Spitting heavy latex paint without thinning whether the box says it can do it or not always results n a mess’
