People think it is difficult to develop the mindset of a Navy SEAL but it is quite a simple process. It just takes a lot of effort to implement it. Being committed comes down to your sense of purpose and personal why. Both of these are mutually supportive and a derivative of your values, your belief system, and identifying what and who you are committed to and how far you are willing to go. Next is understanding the relationship between motivation and discipline and how to leverage both.

The best thing you can do is to go down to your local recruiting office and make contact with them - they know you wont be able to enlist for a couple years but they will be help to let you PT with them. ROTC is also good if you are just starting high school man. If you spend the next 4 years committed to your goal and you get comfortable in the water you will have the best chance of success. Good luck bro.
If you don't back down from "Anything", there will be time when it's right to back down and if u dont learn to back down when it's necessary, you'll be in a big trouble or even cost your life buddy. Good luck on chasing ur dreams and try to think wise.
I started training for AFROTC ( I want to be a fighter pilot ). My goal was to get a 100 on the fitness test. I had a 86.6 three weeks ago, I now have a 98.0. All it takes is daily effort. I will try to get it to 100 in two weeks.

I’d like to disagree with most of the comments here and argue that persevering not matter what does not make sense. We can’t just will success into being because success is not solely dependent on us. It is a fantasy to believe that if only we try hard enough, crawl through enough barbed wire, and endure enough sand in our clothes that we will ultimately succeed. Sometimes, “quitting” is absolutely the right move. As much as the speaker would like us to think there are easy answers, there aren’t. Wisdom is knowing the difference between when to persevere and when to give up. I do like the MLK quotation though. I interpret it to mean that when we feel inadequate, pathetic, or otherwise useless, just doing something is better than doing nothing. Even just crawling a little toward your goal is worth something. It’s better than just lying there! That’s how I think we should view the speaker’s message.
You're just the type that would quit if you were in my shoes. I went head on with a semi 17 months ago. Woke up a month later. Many, many operations, blood transfusions, etc., etc. Pain past 10. You dig in and make it or you make excuses. You'd make excuses.
Thanks for this motivational speech I really needed that it just made me that I want to be an airborne ranger in the army so much more so now I can study the hardest I can to pass the asvab test I want to serve my country with so much pride thank you so much man
Choose to.live a life that you want to over a life that you can spend counting days. You can always prove yourself provided you being with you completely.
I honestly think that one day humanity will be smart enough to know that you don’t have to necessarily suffer in order to become a better person or become the best version of yourself I think that is just an outgrowth of religious thinking that suffering will get you to become the best version of yourself when in reality all you are doing is beating your body down and then have back problems later in your life
@_-___-_ just try your best its like if you have an exam if you give your least or only half studying after you see the grades you will regret and began to wonder what your grade will be if you give your best at studying for the exam just try as best as you can and if you fail atleast you tried and being a medic is not bad no soldier would go to a battlefield without a medic

Same except i started working out for it when I was 11 I'm 13 going into 8th grade i work out every day so.i can get closer to my goal
How’s it going so far?
" To take calculated risks to succeed and win and to be all in... all the time "
I started training for AFROTC ( I want to be a fighter pilot ). My goal was to get a 100 on the fitness test. I had a 86.6 three weeks ago, I now have a 98.0. All it takes is daily effort. I will try to get it to 100 in two weeks.
Joshua Urbany fitness won’t make you a pilot, but mental skills will
Hey bud, how did everything turn out for you? Are you interested in learning how to train both physically and mentally as we do in special operations? I am a retired team guy with 22 years in special operations and created my own training system.
@@optimalreadiness My training went extremely well, I was 131lbs at 6'2, I am now 165. I got covid a couple of times and it destroyed my cardio, I am slowly building that back up and currently at a 14:00 2 mile (was at 12:15)
Though, I am no longer in university due to multiple factors (as of now I still want to go back to be a pilot). I joined the Army with an option 40 contract but at the end of week 3 of RASP a disk in my lower back inflamed and crushed the nerve to my right leg :,(. I am all better now and serving with the 101st and just completed Air Assault School. I am on the fence about going back to RASP or going into SOAR. Either way, any resource I can use to get more fit I'd be glad to look into
@@joshuaurbany6468 Right on, buddy. It sounds like you have had a challenging journey thus far and need to make some important decisions.
How can I help you? Email me directly via my about page and I'll get you squared away.
I'm at that stage of my life I feel like doing something else rather than Accouting and finance... Totally bored of it.. if I were in the US, I would have joined the military also..
The French Foreign Legion will take you! Good luck!
This guy is AWAKE SEAL!!!
I am on page 54 of your book Taking Point. Fascinating read and I am going to implement some of these ideas into how I work with my team at our hospital in Lakewood, Colorado. Thank you.
I haven’t even watched half of the video but I knew this video deserves a like, like always! :))
😐
You're just the type that would quit if you were in my shoes. I went head on with a semi 17 months ago. Woke up a month later. Many, many operations, blood transfusions, etc., etc. Pain past 10. You dig in and make it or you make excuses. You'd make excuses.
"winning here is a conscious decision" -instructor patstone anyone else catch that one
"make up your mind whether you want to pass or choose to fail"
Thanks for this motivational speech I really needed that it just made me that I want to be an airborne ranger in the army so much more so now I can study the hardest I can to pass the asvab test I want to serve my country with so much pride thank you so much man

Love it.. Thank you for your service 👏👏👏
Choose to.live a life that you want to over a life that you can spend counting days. You can always prove yourself provided you being with you completely.
Winning mindset!
I’m also going to join the navy and then become a SEAL and I been working out because I’m trying to become a SEAL as well
SEAL mindset? It's simple though hard. "Ready to die right now. Absolutely will not stop unless physically broken." True grit. Tough as they come.
I honestly think that one day humanity will be smart enough to know that you don’t have to necessarily suffer in order to become a better person or become the best version of yourself I think that is just an outgrowth of religious thinking that suffering will get you to become the best version of yourself when in reality all you are doing is beating your body down and then have back problems later in your life
We also serve our country or let's say our world.. Without joining army with the right mindset and heart fullness
I've heard that every action and decision you make should be to achieve the ultimate goal of who you want to be in life.
