Kai Hahto the Drummer here in Wintersun is now primarily Nightwish current Drummer, has been since 2015, so not playing in Wacken 2013, but London Wembley 2015 onwards etc. Jukka Koskinen playing Bass in Wintersun is currently a session Bass player for Nightwish, since April 2021. Probably he will be offered permanent Nightwish band member position after current World Tour. Both guys still play in Wintersun also, if there will be any new recordings or gigs as well, but now they focus on Nightwish World Tour 2022-2023.
Jari Mäenpää, the lead guitarist and singer, is for Wintersun, what is Tuomas for Nightwish. A great composer, a poet, the man behind everything, Fan Fact: He is missing a third of his right lung due to tuberculosis he suffered back in 1997 while he was in the army

FYI Jari(vocalist/guitar) is the leader and has such a powerful voice yet lost a chunk of his lung to tuberculosis during military service, Kai on drums is now the drummer with Nightwish and Jukka on bass is standing in for Marko on their present world tour, have a look at the rest of this studio rehearsal it's superb. This is Kai Hahto's band b4 Nightwish...thats why the drumming is epic. Also, bassist Jukka Koskinen, is currently Nightwish's touring bassist, in place of Marko Hietala who stepped out for mental health reasons. I'm not fond of the vocals on this song either, but the music is technical perfection!
Inside the warm studio playing drums on that beat and that long... We all can try it and recover for a week. BTW, this was second song on that session, they played Time first.
Thanks guys! This is a concept album part 1. That was like walk In the Park for Kai😂❤. He is the Beast, Human metronome. He is playing using a "click track" so it is even more impressive drumming. He is/was the mentor for Jukka before he had To leave Nightwish due To serious sleep apnea. You have seen Jukka In the Wacken videos. You need To do some "Time" next😂❤. Regards from Finland.
Well, the "poor drummer" actually has himself to blame for doing that: after Jari Mäenpää (the vocalist) had composed and played everything else, he then decided that he wasn`t good enough drummer, so he sent the song for Kai Hahto and asked him to compose and play the drums for the song. And boy did he ever. Please check Time from the same live rehearsals from the Sonic Pump Studios. Another masterpiece.
