Petra music was the background music of my childhood. They played at my church when I was 12. It's wicked to hear his testimony and that he's been able to stay sober all these years.
I was 31 and came to know Jesus I'm now 66 yrs old it's not how long we been born again what matters how deep we are in Jesus word his truth presence is TO TRULY DEEPLY KNOW HIM WHO HE IS TO ME + YOU DO WE HEAR HIS VOICE DO WE WORSHIP WITH OUR HEARTS DESIRES DO WE DEEPLY FOLLOW JESUS DO WE HAVE DESCERMENT KNOWLEDGE WISDOM REVELATION DO WE OBEY HIM DO WE LOVE OTHERS NO MATTER THE COST PAIN HURTS NAME CALLING WE GO THROUGH ? DO WE WITNESS HOW GOOD LOVING FAITHFUL TRUE REAL DEAL HOW FORGIVING JESUS IS HOW MERCIFUL SO FULL OF GRACE JESUS IS SO MUCH MORE DO WE CARRY OUR CROSS ITS GETS HEAVY WINDS BLOW HARD THE STORMS HARDSHIPS RISE UP IS JESUS OUR FIRST LOVE amen

Some years later and I am here, just to say that I'm a big fan from Brazil!!!❤️ The verses of the song "Pray" ... in my opinion, is totally related to John's testemony and so many others all over the world...🌎 It doesn't matter if it was in the past, or in the current days or even in the future, Our God is the same Miracle worker, Promise keeper Light in the darkness and the Saviour of our lives!!! 🤩 "First I want to thank You Lord for being who You are For coming to the rescue of a man who's drifted far For calling me to be Your son and calling me to serve Lord the way You've blessed my life is more than I deserve" 🙌 ❤️🙏
i grew up with petra, started drumming because of them.. i used to love louie.. got myself a dw drumkit like he used to play and i kept on beating the ish out of it. thatsa what made me a musician.. but over the years, i drifted so far. johns story really caught me. so much things in common with this dude.. today is the9th of july 2017, i made a decision. hopefully I am strong enough to to keep it up. trying to reach the next plateau, or die.. thank you for uploading this

O my goodness his story is so true about addiction! I was on prescription Xanax for about 14 years and Adderall. Along with drinking it’s pretty much the same as coke and drinking even though I never done coke!
