- Petra stopped by the CCM Cafe and gave us this special acoustic medley of songs over their 50 year career! The guys are currently touring on their 50th anniversary reunion tour.

The best band of all time, Christian or secular. Spectacular musicianship, and UNCOMPROMISING lyrics. God is glorified.
This was a HUGE part of my youth experience and so thankful for these guys! The music touched a generation and my 4 sons got to experience it all as well!
The best part is no matter what age you are , one day we will be all together in glory and singing to the one who more then deserves the glory!! Love you guys and THANK YOU!

53 yr old who grew up listening to you guys. What a blessing and thanks for your hard work. Best memory is my best friend and I camping out several summers in the backyard and listening to the More Power to Ya and Not of this World so much we wore out the tapes. Early 80's was special partly because of this band.
Beautiful..... especially for John hitting those notes after 60 years of singing is a true testimony to the power of His vocal chords

John's voice is still fantastic. This band's music is legendary. These are great, First Love, Homeless Few, No Doubt, Love, and Prayer, and Hand on my Heart were always some of my favorites.
I still remember well, a day 36 years ago when I first heard John Schlitt's voice on "Back To The Streets".

Thank you PETRA to all of you and to everyone who ever had a part in making PETRA possible. Your music has been a guiding light to my soul for my entire adult life. There is not a single song of yours that I am not familiar with and I still listen to them daily. I never get tired of listening to them. God really did anoint you guys to play his music and for that we were all blessed. Being in the same age group as most of you, I count myself so fortunate to have experienced the entire lifespan of the original band called PETRA. I do, however, firmly believe that the music produced by PETRA will carry on long after all of us are gone. I have No Doubt about that. God Bless PETRA and long live their music. Praise The Lord.

When I was younger (much younger) this was just really cool music. Now that I have a few more years and miles on my life, it means much much more. Praise Jesus, they're still singing.
It's always interesting to hear John sing Greg's songs.
But probably the best version of this medley is from the Farewell tour where there were actually both John and Greg and traded vocals on respective songs. That was actually a very powerful moment having both main voices of Petra singing together.
I saw John do it is finished live and I wish I could hear it again.
I love when you say it's always interesting to hear John sing Greg's songs. While in matter of Bob Hartman wrote 95% of the songs.

Thank you for giving me some tears of comfort. The music of Petra, carrying the message of God's love in Jesus Christ, has brought me through awful moments. Congratulations on fifty years! It is so Awesome to see Petra performing again. I play drums for a Christian rock band. These guys were playing Christian rock when preachers and pastors were saying you can’t use rock with Christian lyrics. Well they have reached thousands of people that no one else could. God bless these guys!!!

Bob Hartman is one of my guitar heroes. Saw them live with Greg X in the 80's. Fabulous concert with an amazing message. Love all albums but nowadays I listen mostly to Jekyll and Hyde. God Bless this band, this ministry! Enter In is one of my all time favorite songs.
Jekyll and Hyde really rocks hard. I couldn't believe it when I discovered it after the pop alt rock sound Petra finished the 90s with.
One of the first Christian music cassettes given to me as a new believer was Petra and always loved the song about the colors. God bless all. 🙏
