Sundar Singh was born into a Sikh family in the village of Rampur Kataania, Ludhiana (Punjab state) in northern India. Sikhism, founded about 1500 AD, is a religion that teaches belief in one God and rejects the caste system; it had become one of the established religions in the area, standing apart from both Hinduism and Islam. Sundar Singh's mother took him to sit at the feet of a sadhu, an ascetic holy man, who lived in the jungle some miles away, while also sending him to Ewing Christian High School, Ludhiana, to learn English.

O my goodness his story is so true about addiction! I was on prescription Xanax for about 14 years and Adderall. Along with drinking it’s pretty much the same as coke and drinking even though I never done coke!
Wow! I can relate to addiction! It’s a very difficult thing to deal with! Doesn’t matter if you’re a Christian or not which I am, it’s a disease!

Petra music was the background music of my childhood. They played at my church when I was 12. It's wicked to hear his testimony and that he's been able to stay sober all these years.
30 years ago today, 10/30/22, I got saved! Heard your testimony when you all and News Boys were at the Atlanta Civic Center in 1992 and gave my heart to Jesus. So, as a special treat to myself, let's hear it again John!
