Small intestine cancer person here. Please, please with your history, push for diagnostic testing on your small intestine. The CTs show distention there, but very hard to find tumors. They thought I had twisted bowels from the CT. I was only diagnosed due to an obstruction that was causing pain and extreme vomiting/nausea and had to be an emergent admit to hospital. Small bowel cancer is so rare. They usually don't think that it is a possibility. You guys are super smart and informed, but just always be an advocate for yourselves. I had been to ER and multiple OVs before they found it. Much positive, healing energy to you both.

First thing I noticed was your hair. I love the new look. Sounds like you two have been in surviving mode for a long time and are now entering thriving mode. Good for Brian on promoting colonoscopies. At 75 I know how important they are for both men and women. And what a fun birthday party. Keep up the videos.
About 30 years ago my grandmother had a colonoscopy, and something internal was nicked and they had to go in and repair the oopsie. Well, she died from a blood clot to her heart a couple weeks later, because of the emergency surgery, from a test she didn’t need. I will pass on tests unless I have at least one symptom. So far so good, at age 70.
@@lizlarsen1653 you won't know you have a symptom until it is too late. I had my first at 50. Now every 3 years because they always find a polyp or two.
@@lizlarsen1653Sometimes by the time symptoms happen, it is too late to do anything about it. I would rather have 100 preventative procedures and tests than 1 case of metastatic cancer.

@jaktag You misunderstood her intention. Jessica was saying that if the news was important, we would have shared it. But since there wasn't much to update, and we were insanely busy, we didn't post videos. However, I did respond to messages and comment as best I could during that time. Also, we understand people are invested in our lives, and we certainly don't want people worried about us, but we are still just ordinary people and we are allowed to step away from youtube for the good of our family. I'm sorry if you think that is being too selfish.

You’re living beautiful lives with your baby and I’m so happy for you. Viewers are invested but I can’t imagine someone thinking you guys “owed” us anything lol! I just got diagnosed with breast cancer (of note I am fine-it’s low stage and curable), but when I got the diagnosis and was setting up the plan , I told my family in a group text -I’m ok, I just need a minute and I’ll get back to you 😂.

But every single person in the cancer club knows that feeling. That desire for a time of peace and silence where we don't have to talk about the problems. Good news indeed. Currently on post nephrectomy recovery journey after an RCC diagnosis.Your sharing really encourages me. Hoping that the scans will be favourable for me as well
You look so happy...❤️. I have had two surgeries this year, 6 weeks of radiation. Life is different after cancer... It's more "real" than ever. I've lost 22lbs just because i see things very clearly. Love you guys and enjoy your happily ever after❤

I didn't drive for several years due to anxiety. Now, I drive every day, even if it is only 4 or 5 miles to make sure that I don't go backwards
