Every bit of this was a joy. You upping your game on the perfect bike for the job. Nice work Ducati UK! What a reaction!!
A simple ride and a visit to the church of Parry. Bliss. Simon's big passion for the Bologna bikes shines through. Tapping into all that Duc experience is gonna raise the game AGAIN on this channel. Superb stuff. The first bike i ever had in my garage was a 93 750SS. Soft spot here for the SS's mentioned (the era Simon speaks about was my era when Ducati superbikes ruled the world) and this new one is a do all beauty for Di to suss out. I've stayed hooked though the later eras Simon is lightly salted about 😂. So funny.

@tomboy_a_bit Sorry for repeating myself, but you need to start riding in a higher gear, you want to learn how to corner quicker, safer, have a better exit speed, then pick one gear higher than you think you need, maybe even two, the torque of the motor will pull you out of a turn.
Riding in such low gears gives you instant acceleration/ deceleration and will upset the poise of the bike. When you touch the throttle the front will rise and off the throttle it will dive, now entering a corner slowly (speed required to negotiate the turn) is fine as there's no need to alter your road position or likelihood of having to lean the bike further/alter speed through the bend.
    Smooth is fast.
You enter a corner and find it has a decreasing radius, your entry speed is now too fast, and you will need to scrub some speed to negotiate the turn without running wide.
With your low gear, backing off, the throttle is going to load up the front end and put an unknown amount of torque through the rear, it may be enough to reduce your momentum to allow you to retain your lean angle and make it through, but I will tell you, it won't feel good.
A higher gear gives you more options, the bike is stable, and reducing throttle has less effect. OK so you are still going too fast to complete the turn so you need to brake, this is down to personed preference, but I prefer the front (If anyone suggests you should never touch the front in a corner refer to trail braking) ease it on slowly to gently compress the forks then hard enough to reduce your speed to get round the corner.
Now another thing you need to learn is counteracting the force of using the front brake while leaning, on most bikes touching the front will have the bike try to stand up, obviously this is a bit of a problem if you're trying to correct your line/speed round a turn. So, you need to us counter steer to cancel out this force.
Now, finding out your bike want's to stand up mid-corner isn't the best way of learning, so I'd suggest trying this on a nice open wide straight, gently weave from left to right applying enough front brake to get the bike to react, as you feel the front start to lift, push on the inside bar (left or left turn and right for right) this way you should be able to maintain your weave by applying the right amount of force required to keep your bike under control.

If you have not yet read it, take a look at Hunter S. Thompson's Ducati review "Song of the Sausage Creature". Or, as Hunter said at another time; "Faster, faster until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." Motorcycles are your drug and Hunter saw fast ones as a true addiction.

You are one lucky girl. That Duke was a joy to see. All this time watching you, that sounds creepy, following you sounds worse but I'll go with that, never knew Simon was a Ducatista. I had one way back in the early 80's a 900S2. Bit of a disaster of a bike as it was when Ducati were going through severe tribulations. Needless to say it took a year to actually sort out the bike properly, including sending the engine 4000klms away to get it fixed, yes Australia is a big place. But in the end it was all worth it till someone else decided they wanted it more than me.

Another negative comment due to lack of understanding, try teaching and expanding Deimantes knowledge rather than just posting a comment like that, you could have explained the difference to her for a start? We all have to learn somewhere. 😊

There is no definition what exactly qualifies as a Superbike. A look and high performance engine of a Supersport fits into a category.

BEFORE YOUR "TRACK DAYS " READ "TWIST OF THE WRIST " BY KEITH CODE , CALIF.SUPER BIKE SCHOOL
IT,S A GREAT READ WITH GREAT INFO, BEFORE YOU HIT THE TRACK ! !

    • @joebloggs1317

Twist of the wrist is a must for all riders, what Keith Code wrote takes years of riding to learn without his instruction.
I don't ride particularly fast, I stay below the ton but keep my speed up with fast cornering and faster exit, riders don't understand why I disappear out of the turns, but they just don't get on the gas at the right time.
