You’ve really inspired me to get on and do my first track day on my 939SSS - agree 100% that it gives you incredible confidence when pushing on the road / thanks!
I have a scrambler and love it but want one of ducatis 939 or 950 platforms. Either the hypermotard or super sport. Two different riding styles. I am nervous I won’t like the lower bars than the scrambler. Can you ride for over an hour comfortably?
Just ordered mine, went with the full Akra race system, putting a clear cover on the wet clutch, rear sets because I’m going to need some adjustment as I’m 196cm and getting some Rizoma mirrors along with a few bits from Evotech and CNC to polish it off. Cannot wait to get it out on the road! Your videos were part of the reason I chose it as my first sport bike, coming from Nakeds and Adventure bikes.
Hello, as before this was watched twice.. Boyhood dreams to race on silver stone track. Taking your time to get the right line in the corners is so very important. The speed will come every time you practice. Enjoy every scratch you leave on your leathers, your friend.
That was so interesting and as I said on Instagram,, we are all so proud of you , I was laughing at your floppy mirror so funny ,, but on the track was truly amazing, well done Dee
@@tomboyabit so sad and to make it worse when you visit home again you will want to see her but poor doggy wont be there,,, so sorry Dee ,, I lost my dog too ,,so know how you feel .
Ooooo I do love a bit of classroom action. Simon, I've not long finished my triumph turbo, rear shock is a new hagon shock set up for my weight from them, front suspension is standard triumph with slightly heavier oil, the bike feels OK when riding, breaking and taking bumps but how would I know if that's the optimum for me and the bike? And the only tip I got which I expect you will already know is to test suspension travel I put a cable tie on the fork stanchion, Ps my bikes been lowered 2.5 inches back and front, Nice one both, I like this kindof stuff
Well, that's a coincidence. You rode past my house and I have just bought Supersport! The camera wide angle makes those roads look so much bigger. So when are you getting it? 😀👍
Good on you. I havent raced since the late 1982. Last bike I raced was a Suzuki GS1000S. I have a BMW R1250RS now and riding that at speed is a joy, mind you so is my Suzuki GSX-S1000F. But they are very different bikes. The Bee Emm has all the bells and whistles and is easy to ride whereas the Suzuki doesn't and you have to work a bit with it but the sound of that four cylinder with a Yoshimura exhaust is a joy. Good luck with the racing and maybe a Ducati will come your way, Simon probably has a few stashed away 😊😊
Good evening Tomboy_a_bit. Love your assessment of this bike. Around 1984 or 1985 my mate got a Ducati. The grin factor on his face said it all. Looking forward to seeing you on this bike on the track. So for now, safe enjoyable riding girl 👍😊.
It’s all in the suspension setup and tyres. Everything else comes into place. It’s funny how a well setup bike can make you look silly if you don’t have the confidence to match. 🍻🇦🇺
Well guess who shot the bolt? So pleased to see you enjoyed what your doing on the track. More of this to come it would see? Good on yer Tomboy_a_bit! And of course well done! 👌.
Seriously, you should come visit us down here! There might even be a chance for you to have a ride on The Britton v 1000, this is the bike that eats Ducati for breakfast! What could be better than pulling a wheely on a race track past a line of Ducati bikes?
I would disagree with the feet position for the street. For the track yes but that is with track foot pegs that are more rear set. So for the street, your toes need access to the shifter and brake pedal, especially the shifter. Only when extreme cornering clearance is needed do you shift your feet back onto the balls of your feet on the pegs and that is in a very rare condition. Keep your feet forward on the street. One more thing, your leathers fit you well.
Lovely bike Deimante…..I can really see you owning a Ducati one day…..D+D…..made for it❤ I had a Ducati 250……wish I hadn’t sold it for £175 ( years ago), it’s probably worth £15k+ now. Hey that dashboard is super clear, very easy to read.
What camera did you use at 23:25 ? and how was it connected to the bike ? I recently bought a 2017 Ducati 939 Supersport with only 2159 km on it in very close to new condition. the bike has allot of personality and I really love the bike. and I don't plan on ever selling it. I have been riding bikes for many years but I have never done a track day. but I'm hoping someday I will get to do it.
Like I told you before. Your in good trouble. You will also have to deal with the pain in your face cheeks from the constant smile. You will get use to it.
Hey Boss, I just gave a link to your jeans review to my wife who is looking for jeans - She said there were no selections recommended - etc - okay - now you have the opportunity to market jeans - She just started Motorbiking, and id like her to know you -
At track days over the years I've seen men with lots of years riding sports bikes in all kinds of horrified states. Lots of no shows (chickened out). Lots unable to leave the toilet with nerves pouring out both ends. Unable to talk. Crying. Unable to listen and follow instructions. Making silly mistakes and giving up and going home. Abandoning bike at track and phoning home for a lift. Being terrified by faster riders and shattering their egos. A big number of crashes on cold tyres. A bigger number of crashes as guys override their abilities. Lots of broken bikes and shattered pride being wheeled out of the track van and into the heartbroken owner's. You, young lady ACED it. Turned up. Early. Extra pressure as the day was full of trade people, other influencers, proper pro journalists, superstars from the industry and the racing world. Cameras everywhere. You held strong and faced up to the scary awesome opportunity and soaked up everything laid out to help you learn and maximise the experience. No ego. No bravado. No mistakes. No accidents. No drama. Star pupil with the respect of the top instructors for the way you learned and followed every word they said and showed them with progress every session. Proud of you Deimante. For a tomboy you've got more balls than many men, definitely all the ones i mentioned at ghe start of tjis comment. Controlled balls. You didn't need to set any lap record that day to impress everyone with your first proper track day! 🏅🤝 oh and the little delicate slider scrape IS the ultimate medal of honour. Too cool to even realise it happened 😎🤘😁
I was at this track day on my Hyper in fast group.. would have been nice to see some raw laps with engine sound instead of music overlay. Maybe try some different audio capture techniques because even on the road test there is too much wind noise and spoils the experience.
This comment is a year after, but perhaps it will be read by someone. While I ride a Ducati Hypermotard 950SP - 2023; I have been considering a sport bike with a windscreen and fairing - not for looks, but for practicality and greater range than the 13 litre fuel capacity of the Hyper. Of the many reviews, yours iss more thorough than most. I live in northern California and the Hypermotard can be less than ideal at constant high speed to "get to the ride". I think that this video clinches the decision for me. I am surrounded by almost too many red Panigales, so I am going to find a white Supersport 950S.
Your enthusiasm about this bike has tipped the scales for me in choosing my second Ducati. I will buy one. Agree what you say about the cruise control.
The nose, side fairings and lines of this bike are gorgeous! Why couldnt ducati get it right with the 1st Gen V4?? If the 1st Gen V4 had this nose and side fairings this bike they would have aold more of thwm
The only thing this motorcycle has going for it is the fact that it is beautiful. Otherwise it is expensive, just two cylinders, it's running hot, unusable mirrors, not really good for the road and not really good for the track... It's like a beautiful girl that has a nasty personality. Love won't last and then you will cry for your money. Try something with 4 cylinders from a Japanese company. Kawasaki seems to do some interesting motorcycles lately.

Yeah your comments about how the bike made you feel when riding though villages etc were very thoughtful, definitely a cut above 👌
I bought my supersport last year, and I must say...it's the best Ducati I've ever had. It's really a joy to ride. Nice video!

The problem with these sort of bikes they make you want to go fast
