Nice video, but I believe it’s all supposed to be one timeline. Not sure if you’ve ever watched TailsTube, but that’s a canon show all about Sonic lore, and they say classic Sonic is from the past, not another dimension. If you ask me when Tails said that Sonic was from another dimension, they were just talking about the dimension of time. In Shadow Generations, Eggman says the Time Eater can control the dimension of time, which shows that you can call time a dimension that could still refer to another time. Does that make sense? I hope so; I know it’s all very confusing. And for the people who want to know why classic Sonic doesn’t do anything about forces or genes despite having future knowledge, it’s shown in the Archie comics that sometimes, when people change the past, they remember the old timeline for a bit, but then the memories go away after a while. That would also explain Maria & Gerald not doing anything to stop their deaths in Shadow gens. And if you don’t think Archie should be used as an example for game lore, even though that should still be a canon dimension within the Sonic multiverse in 06, Sonic at the end of the game changes the timeline, and everyone forgets what happened, showing that when you change time, eventually you forget the old timeline, and all you know is the new timeline. Also, there was a buzzing in the background of this video. Don’t worry; I also had this problem when I was first starting out on RUclips. I recommend when you're done with the audio for the video, put it in a background audio remover website, then go back to all the music you want, and that should fix things.
I think of it was a pun sonic would've said "Didn't think we'd meet up again so soon! You look like you're from a whole different DIMENSION!" or something, not something tails would say
It works if you think of it like DBZ time travel where if you use a time machine you get sent to a timeline set the year you want to go to. It doesn't directly influence your home timeline though, more like creating a new dimension or dimension hopping.
Also, Sonic mentioned that Trip is still on the Northstar Islands in the Modern Era, meaning if there was a split timeline, the only difference is that Modern Sonic would already know what would happen in Generations and Forces.
sticks from boom enters the mainline archie sonic comics in a comic and when she returns to the boom universe and describes super sonic sonic says "yeah cause i turn gold and fly all the time" him clearly not believing sticks, so unless the sonic boom comics are non canon that kinda throws a wrench in the theory
I like to think that since classic sonic is getting pulled from the past to the future, when he leaves, his mind gets wiped so he can't alter the future in any way. EDIT: i just realized if that was true, when sonic time travels in sonic CD that would also mean he gets his mind wiped

well.. i dont think so. theres alot of differences between sonic x's world and modern sonic's world, primarily, the planet where humans live and mobians live being seperate in x and one in the same in modern. in the modern universe, the "mobians" live on the smaller islands, and the humans live on the actual continents. this would probably be the same within classic sonic, and so, classic sonic and x sonic cannot be in the same continuity.
Little planet is a whole different entity, it's a more controlled natural type of time travel, the time eater is a force from outside the universe that's actively destroying the timeline, causing the paradoxes
@@lemonthefunkerthere is a theory that after sonic cd, the timeline actually did spilt into a good and bad future which are mostly the same except for a few minor differences like sonic 4 not happening in the good timeline.
