And that gorilla glass probably will be on parr with Samsung utg in terms of durability. Glass can't fold if it's gonna be durabld. Folding phones will not be replacing rectangle shaped phones whatsoever, and that's the truth

If the phone ever did release I think they'd make a bendable screen protector so ullll beee finnne, the only issue I'd have is accidentally pressing the button in my pocket and snapping the screen 💀
Nah! You will need to use it with extreme clean hands, no beaches, no sands and even not to put in the pocket. Cause the dirt can destroy this kind of screen

@@pacekomen5715 if there is a smartphone with “rigid” screen like the others yes, of course. Like mine which is galaxy S22 Ultra. But these flexible screens need an extreme care.

@@King_SPL yes but the case does not protect the screen, even the screen protector film, because the part near the hinges is always in movment during opening and closing.
I love the concept. I don't like 6+ inch screen just to make or receive calls.
I still miss LG, I sometimes wonder where they would be if still in the phone market today. But Moto is the next best underdog.

Foldables are old news. Motorola needs to turn that Rizr rollable concept into an actual mass market product. That's a device that looks like it comes from 10 years into the future. I realize l'm sticking to Motorola brand even with their terrible software support, aftermarket support, and cameras. Got a history with Motorolas.
V600 (2004-2006)
RAZR V3 (2006-2008)
Moto E2 4G (2016-2017)
Moto E4 (2018-2019)
Razr 5G (2021-Present)
I realized I wouldn't have ever got into the cell phone hobby without lusting for that Motorola V600 on PhoneScoop back in 2004. I know Motorola is owned by Lenovo but Motorola to me always had the best designs especially clamshells and sliders. Even took an orange "Molly" pill with the Motorola logo on it 22 years ago. Decent 2-hour Xperience. Not the strongest euphoria but good.
Cut to 3 weeks later and the screen is completely scratched beyond belief 😂
I think they can make half glass half bending screen for this, having it this way phone will not get scratches in general but only when we use and that a case for every bending screen 😅

You can enjoy small and large phone in hand all together wow ..most of the time like to use smaller phones and except for watching movie or RUclips then large display and this phone concept is offering both experience in same phone

if it opened to the side it would be much more useful and maybe even better than the folding ones, but it would have to be faster and it seems more fragile. but it's nice to see innovations like that.

I really like this honestly, I love smaller phones but large screens are nice for videos and movies. I'd buy this in a heartbeat so long as it has a decent camera and good battery 🙌

That screen would scratch really easily. Maybe in the next 10 years or so we might get flexible material that'll self heal that can be used as rollable screens.

Neqti, but the rolling is a bit slow and will probably get annoying quickly. Also, there's no way the display is going to survive if you dropped while it's in the extended position. Still neat.
Its amazing because it acts as a compact phone as well, which means no compromise in size but still more accessible, its much better than Apple's compact mode.
I heard LG was gonna do this too but horizontal. Unfortunately, they got tired of the market, released the Wing, and showed off the concept of expanding screen phones as a goodbye.

People wondered the same about pop up cameras (like in OnePlus 7 Pro that I'm using).. been two years, dropped my phone without protection 20+ times and nothing's happened to the camera.
This is cool but, I just don’t see how it really adds much value to the user experience and only adds further complexity and fragility to its construction. Meaning it will be more expensive to purchase and repair.
