not true. I was into a lot of Apple products almost exclusively a few years ago, but not a fanboy. - iPhone, iPad, iMac, Apple tv, Apple Watch, Airport, buds and massive iTunes library. I've gradually replaced all of that with Samsung, Microsoft, Phillips, Bose and other offerings and now only have two Macbooks which i have not either used in over a year. I'm a fan of tech, not corporations, and what did it for me was seeing Apple's often but very subtle anti-consumerism and lack in innovations. - got sick of being restricted to .mv4 format and held into iTunes and wanting to play .MKV on other devices without authenticating so I gradually migrated to the agnostic format which allowed me to play all my media on any devices - got tired of the limitations, monopoly and gate keeping of the App store on the ipad Pro and thus got a Surface Pro 9 5G (Still horrible in some places but I value the freedom of a more "open" OS) - got rid of my iPad Pro for a Surface Pro as aforementioned but also because it is hamstrung by an iPhone OS - iOS (iPadOS is just marketing) - Bose QC2 is far better at higher noise cancelling and base. - Don't need Apple tv anymore because we have smart tvs with their own OS and I tend to stream from my own local digital collection of media. - Was never big into phones and have alternated between Android and iPhones for years, but eventually have settled on to a Galaxy Z Fold 3/4 because of the more openess and flexibility of Android compared to iOS. I can download and install what I want on Android for the most part and have more control over it. So as long as competition continues to innovate it does get through even the most invested of Apple users.
With 2-fold the video size at full screen barely increases since it's usually 16:9 With 3 or even 4 folds though, that actually makes a difference and makes the video much bigger

I have the fold 4 and I'm still just as in love 7 months later. It's my first proper foldable and I will never go back. All these look absolutely amazing. I would love the flex G will probably never be able to afford it 😅 maybe 5 years after it comes out.

My dream all in one device would be a *triple fold* tablet that can also fold down into a "phablet" phone. 1. Tablet - portrait friendly aspect ratio tablets are used in hand 2. Laptop - by attaching a keyboard & trackpad cover (that keyboard cover is also foldable like Microsoft's foldable keyboard) 3. Phone - contains a silo for a pen It would be expensive as hell, but works out when you consider it will be three devices in one and you cut back on clutter of devices.
That's why I pay for fold. I use it for 3 years get the new fold 5 because I like the tablet but use it far less then a phone screen. I like the bigger screen when I need it. Two devices in one. I'd pay premium for 3 in 1 that's a little bigger then fold in my pocket like trifold.
As a z fold daily user, foldables will be a thing of the past when XR becomes the mainstream. All it takes is those micro oled displays to become cheaper than they already are, and some development from a top 500 company. Imagine being able to have any size display you want, floating wherever you want, and being able to show other people that display in a 3d space, while also having a private mode. Imagine the apple vision pro, but it looks like a regular pair of glasses. The xr glasses are already getting insanely good as of this year. Wearables are the future
The Flex Note 17" is similar to the Asus 17" Zenbook or the Lenovo Thinkpad, both laptop capabilities with keyboard accessories, but this Samsung looks much more attractive than those other brands. Impressive technology! Ive never been much of a gadget girl because who can afford these things but I do admire the innovation and design.
For all of the "phones have had a stylus for years" people , please tell me which ones had a stylus that could control the phone camera to take pictures? Which ones had a stylus that could magnify portions of the screen that you hover the tip over? Which ones could translate text that you hover the tip over? And the S pen can do so much more, but look it up for yourself. Tell me you don't know what the S pen can do without telling me you don't know what the S pen can do!

eh...I had a Z Fold 3 and upgraded to a Z fold 4, they are good and I couldn't go back to a regular sized phone anymore, but Samsung is resting on its laurels because there are other foldables that have the Z Fold beat in almost every department. Only reason why they are not as popular as the Z Fold series is because Samsung is the most recognized with them being the earliest on the market and because alternatives like Vivo, Xiami, Mimo etc.. are not as readily available for purchase in the United States, though they are increasingly becoming more popular in Asia.
I was looking at other foldable phones on RUclips reviews that aren't all readily available. I decided to look at buying the z fold 5 when it comes out. My z fold 3 is reliable. Only had protective screen replaced. I get good customer support with Samsung
Soonest I'd put it would be 2024, but I would give it time to perfect it so they don't pull another Z Fold disaster. Maybe 2025 they could perfect the devices for mass production
If you think about it, it make sense that they stopped the note series because the size is very close to other flagships. Now the fold is the next big thing.,
1:28 Concept G looks basically like a Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra that folds. Would be great to also have an outer display when folded down and act like a 'phablet'. It definitely would have to silo a flat stylus.

4 foldable 16:9 display is what I want Z Fold 5 to be including S Pen. And that doesn't require a lot of efforts from Samsung. They have all the necessary tech, money and market here and now. They just need to sign the list.

I don't think so, it's probably the worst version of "small to big screen" tech. Zero protection of the screen, with foldable phones plastic screen protectors can still be on the inside and the phone folded over it protects the screen. Rollable screens require either motorized or sliding mechanisms. That takes up so much space so battery size won't be as big. Also an entire section of the phone will go back into the phone so any dust, lint and liquids would go with it causing bigger durability issues. Huawei already brought peak foldable phone tech and design it's almost as thin as an iPhone 14 pro max and still has water resistance, flex mode and capable cameras. Meanwhile Samsung is too comfortable releasing a Z fold 2 yearly. Don't let Samsung's laziness fool you. Chinese companies, especially Huawei already designed foldable hardware that people 4 years ago would've expected as the future smartphone.
I started with the HTC Dream Android 1.5 Cupckae OS. That slide out keyboard was the best. When Google introduce their Nexus line with no bloat, other brands such as Motorola, Huawei LG, Samsung, each had 1-2 years to innovate their technology and hardware with android OS. Unfortunately Sony didnt make it to the nexus line but i loved the Xperia Z3 too bad Sony didnt go further with it. I had an apple fanboy ask me to try iphone 3 and i used it for like 30 mins and said Na. there is no customization and no multitasking. and till now im on the Samsung S22 Ultra.

I love my z fold 3, samsung's new phones are spectacular
eh...I had a Z Fold 3 and upgraded to a Z fold 4, they are good and I couldn't go back to a regular sized phone anymore, but Samsung is resting on its laurels because there are other foldables that have the Z Fold beat in almost every department.
Only reason why they are not as popular as the Z Fold series is because Samsung is the most recognized with them being the earliest on the market and because alternatives like Vivo, Xiami, Mimo etc.. are not as readily available for purchase in the United States, though they are increasingly becoming more popular in Asia.
I was looking at other foldable phones on RUclips reviews that aren't all readily available. I decided to look at buying the z fold 5 when it comes out. My z fold 3 is reliable. Only had protective screen replaced. I get good customer support with Samsung
I just got the z fold 6 and I love it
I replaced my damaged z fold 5 with a one plus open. Z fold 6 was out of my price range

Soonest I'd put it would be 2024, but I would give it time to perfect it so they don't pull another Z Fold disaster. Maybe 2025 they could perfect the devices for mass production

I am using Z Fold 4, and no complaints about it. My next upgrade will be Fold G with 1 outer screen.
I can see the G model being made, its practical, the other not really. The sliding one needs more work.

It has the aspect ratio fans want, pen want and can fold out into a bigger tablet.
Saw a different video that show G folding inward and outward. Giving you the option to have a display outside or all displays hidden inside.
Although the tech kinda sucks rn it is really cool to see the future of compact tech

4 foldable 16:9 display is what I want Z Fold 5 to be including S Pen. And that doesn't require a lot of efforts from Samsung. They have all the necessary tech, money and market here and now. They just need to sign the list.

😯This is the first foldable tablets have showed up in my list. Everything is always in the direction of phone size screen foldables.

I don't think so, it's probably the worst version of "small to big screen" tech. Zero protection of the screen, with foldable phones plastic screen protectors can still be on the inside and the phone folded over it protects the screen. Rollable screens require either motorized or sliding mechanisms. That takes up so much space so battery size won't be as big. Also an entire section of the phone will go back into the phone so any dust, lint and liquids would go with it causing bigger durability issues. Huawei already brought peak foldable phone tech and design it's almost as thin as an iPhone 14 pro max and still has water resistance, flex mode and capable cameras. Meanwhile Samsung is too comfortable releasing a Z fold 2 yearly. Don't let Samsung's laziness fool you. Chinese companies, especially Huawei already designed foldable hardware that people 4 years ago would've expected as the future smartphone.
What are the actual full specs for both the S and G Flex (12.4 inch) ? Definitely hope they'll be the highest possible.

I like the dynamic almond 2x .there was a foldable with Z shape .
I started with the HTC Dream Android 1.5 Cupckae OS. That slide out keyboard was the best. When Google introduce their Nexus line with no bloat, other brands such as Motorola, Huawei LG, Samsung, each had 1-2 years to innovate their technology and hardware with android OS. Unfortunately Sony didnt make it to the nexus line but i loved the Xperia Z3 too bad Sony didnt go further with it. I had an apple fanboy ask me to try iphone 3 and i used it for like 30 mins and said Na. there is no customization and no multitasking. and till now im on the Samsung S22 Ultra.

The problem it's the battery of this devices, looks like enough for 30 minutes max without cables
Don't think so there are smartphones with oled display that still last for long periods of time
The real problem is the burn in that oled screens are susceptible to
