It prevents you from having constant access to this type of perk. Some people are really good at filling the meter almost completely and then just running regardless of exhaustion, because if they get chased they can walk a little bit at a time and get sprint burst back mid chase.

Honestly, I think thats the most important thing Nick Cage is bringing for survivors. Something actually fun to have that isn't just what is labeled as "bully squads". It's also just funny to see the animation of a survivor just randomly start kicking their knees up high before speeding away. It's so funny to just start approaching a survivor and have them scream, potentially for like a solid 5-6 seconds if RNG really lines up with the survivor, or just having survivors randomly enter the dying state. It's such a breath of fresh air for this game to be able to really just.. have fun with goofy shit without being insanely punished for it (No Mither) or being called a "toxic survivor" because you want to be able to have fun without just gen rushing. The perks are goofy and funny but not literally a detriment to run to your entire team, except maybe Plot Twist if used incorrectly. I can also see plot twist becoming a "meta" perk in 4-mans to maybe replace UB for more utility. Being able to control when you enter the dying state is honestly huge. You can deny ANY perk that requires you to be hit with a basic attack (STBFL, Jolt, Blood Favour, etc) and it doubles as anti-slug if you're able to use it before the killer actually downs you. Plot Twist is arguably more scary if used correctly than either of his 2 other perks. They're super goofy but not terrible for the sake of being terrible which is so nice.

Because think about it, Survivors can only activate it when injured, crouched, and here's the kicker, motionless. Characters in Dbd retain momentum for a short while even after you technically stopped moving, so in combination with the killer's speedbonus when lunging the attack should connect before you can down yourself, making it a lot more interesting to use in chase and a lot less frustrating for the killer! (I'm away from home rn, so I can't test it myself!)

You HAVE to be healthy to use it, meaning the Exposed roll is a real risk, the chance to scream means if you're just using it to spawn items in the corner you run the risk of alerting the killer, it's just absolutely perfect. I actually hope this perk IS meta so that we get wild scenarios popping up a lot

They reworked the perk to be stronger but harder to play. Also, dead hard has a pre-requisite. They just added a new one, to be unhooked first. Do you want counterplay? Half killers have a expoused power or add-on without the need to perks . If the perk was that strong, many killers like legion, ghostface and even nurse before the nerf with her expoused build could just ignore dead hard. Clown iri add-on could do the same.

Try-harding all the time isn't pleasant in a game where 300 hours is 'baby mode' because the 'experienced 20k hour gigachads' will pubstomp you every time. The barrier to entry is so bad in this game because of how much you're told you'll have a bad time if you don't bring the current meta-hugging build. We need a truly casual-friendly environment in DBD before I'll come back. I have too many games I like playing to devote 20k hours to this one.

So clearly they have not run out of perk ideas. These are so fresh and a much needed breath of fresh air. Hopefully BHVR leans more into the Scooby Doo goofy horror and have that reflect in the perk choices as well in the future.

Plot twist comboed with lucky break is going to be so good. im pretty sure lucky break timer pauses when you enter the dying state. so you could easily loose chase in 5 seconds. drop and get up fully healed with only 5 seconds of lucky break used.
agree on all but nurse since afaik her blink distance doesn't have anything to do with survivor collision (or is impacted to such a minimal extent) +2 for ruining the plans of the rest of the crew - wesker especially since you can force vaults unlike demo, and once a dash is initiated you can't cancel like billy's charge.

Plot Twist can be very strong, paired together with Boon: Exponential you can self-heal in just 16 seconds and you will also counter deep wound & Sloppy Butcher with it since it doesn't affect recovery speed in the dying state.
Plot Twist Power Struggle build sounds absolutely evil and I love it. I might even run Smash Hit now that its got a buff too, so that when Power Struggle activates I get a extra speed boost to get away. I haven’t been excited about making a new perk build since a year ago!

Scott i would like to object on two things: 1: screaming can actually be very well countered with Clam spirit. Im definitely interested in how that interacts 2: unbreakable is almost a missfit i think for plottwist. Imagine running it with tenacity

25% bonus speed for 2 sec is not good when we have other perks with 50% bonus speed for 3 sec.

With Plot Twist, if you use it at the beginning of the game itll open gens that are affected with Corrupt, because you enter the dying state.
