One thing I misunderstood: the new BNP now makes generators take 80 seconds to complete, like old generators. This is a pretty unique way of changing them IMO! Also killer swing cooldown is 2.7s not 3s.
Buckle Up grants aura reading of the killer for both survivors, but it would be far better and make far more sense for the perk to give a speed boost to you both.
I liked the hook grab faking but it felt so ping dependent. My fave was when I grabbed a survivor but they finished the unhook as they were on my shoulder.
I always hated having grabs cancelled when I tried to get one and survivor got the unhook for free. Removing this will just make things more consistent going forward and I like that.
I mean I have been grabbed after the bar has been full for a whole second and the survivor should have been off but it just didn’t happen. As killer though, I will grab survivors (like the ENTIRE animation) and it just won’t happen. Grabbing and unhooking is so fucked due to latency.
im still surprised with how blight dodge every single patch where they nerf killer's addons, there is no other explanation other than someone at bhvr is a main blight
truth is, if youre a bad blight with good addons youre gonna be pretty bad still. good blights with good addons = youre getting clapped regardless, if youre bad in chase as a survivor. One of the few killers in the game you can say this about; thats 99% why they leave him untouched. alch ring gives you a buff as long as you can hit your lethals (hard for bad blights) = skill based. Blight doesnt have any BS exposed addons like every other killer has. His are a little weaker but comparitive to triple blink nurse (baby nurses can benefit some from triple blink)
The two most commonly believed theories are that one, the dev who coded Blight is gone so they’re too scared of breaking him to touch him, and two, that he has such a wide range of useful add-ons that a good chunk of them are consistently used. It’s believed with things like the previously planned Billy engravings nerf that BHVR only really looks at usage rates when deciding on nerfs, so none of Blight’s stand out too much.
@@BrianMOTM half-assed take, blight's addons buff good players by a large margin. If you fail to recognise this, you either haven't versed one, or played him
Made for This only gives the endurance status to the survivor that has the perk after a heal. That's how it's different from what they are trying to do with Buckle Up. To me the most annoying thing about the hook grab animation, was if the killer grabbed you off the hook, the hooked survivor would stay frozen in the unhooking animation for the same amount of time it takes the killer to grab and drop, so another survivor couldn't even try and get the hooked person while the killer has the grabbed person.
DBD used to be fun but trash killer mains and idiotic devs have ruined this once great game. They made killers disgustingly op and never do anything about the obvious camping and tunneling issues that has plagued this game since its release. It really is a joke, makes me sick to my stomach.
How tf is this fair to survivors?? The fact that we have to take 30 seconds to heal is absolutely mind boggling to me. These devs have no clue what they’re doing and this is why us survivors have to use cheats to stand a chance at winning 💀💀
I honestly think this is going to be a net nerf to Sadako. They said these changes make tapes "more dangerous" but honestly there mostly isn't a downside to having a tape, especially since they didn't adjust the time it takes to insert one so you can just do it mid chase. TVs also tend to spawn pretty close, so the slowdown from that side objective is basically nothing. ALSO, disabling two TVs that are right next to each other for 90 seconds is way stronger for the survivors than the old mechanic since it makes a huge area of the map that she can't teleport to. And if survivors aren't doing the objectively correct play which is spamming tapes all game to disable her teleport, you still have a 15 second cool down to teleport. Her main strength before IMO was that she could be anywhere on the map more or less whenever she wanted. It was really easy to check where survivors were, because if you teleport where nobody is you can just immediately head to another TV. Now teleporting to a TV is just wasting 15 seconds, since if it isn't disabled that means there probably isn't a survivor anywhere near that part of the map. I hope I'm wrong but I think these changes are a mistake.
"Especially since they didn't adjust the time it takes to insert one so you can just do it mid chase". Did you ever consider teleportation to a TV mid-chase before survivor enters the tape in TV? it turns off TV and prevent survivor from entering tape.
I agree, thought I was the only one that saw right through this huge nerf. Removing the passive condemned from holding tapes was a terrible idea since it re-enables the old PTB strat of spamming tapes to disable TVs all game to render her entire power useless. The downside of receiving a stack of condemned when injured is frankly not enough to prevent survivors from spamming tapes anyway, I’d argue it makes The Onryo have to commit much more in a chase against that survivor to gain pressure rather than dropping chase and harassing other survivors. The reason this is bad is because you either have to commit to a chase to gain the pressure you need or risk wasting the effort you put in for nothing and start over again with someone else. The teleport cool down is bad because it means her map presence is significantly worse. She no longer can appear immediately out of nowhere since you can very safely just do a gen because she’s unable to teleport to you for 15 seconds. And even if she could survivors have probably disabled most if not all TVs anyway. This is the same treatment Singularity got on the PTB where as the EMPs literally nerf his entire power to nothing. The same applies to Onryo now too. I hope they revisit these changes and actually make her somewhat threatening instead of being bullied by survivors .
I just want to thank you Scott. For the last couple of years I've always come to your videos for the patch notes link since for some reason I can't ever seem to find it elsewhere. And you always have posted it without fail. Cheers
for some reason they only post it to twitter so you have to navigate that butthole, they don't even post links in THEIR OWN forums and even google can't find them either

I think instead of giving Sadako a huge cooldown that limits her like only good thing: her mobility, just give that cooldown to the condemn status activating
The new condemn isn't even going to be a big deal because all you have to do to stop her teleport condemn is pick up a tape, and since you get no passive condemn from holding the tape, you can basically hold it the entire match with no downsides.
The updated report system will be good for helping the health of this game, but those survivor bots are going to keep this game alive much longer than if they weren't here

Gpt, generate for me a bait reply that will waste the most of somebody's time responding. Use commonly debunked arguments to lure in victims. Use Dead By Daylight centric terms. No longer than 130 words.
I've always thought Buckle Up should've worked like this: When healing a downed survivor, the healing speed increases as the killer gets closer, and if you successfully pick up the survivor, you both gain haste for a certain amount of seconds. I feel like it fits the perks theme.
Crazy how long it took to touch onryo, idk if these changes are good or bad as i haven't touched the game in a while. Hope it makes her better, always enjoyed playing her
I don't think that the Sadako buffs were as strong as they might think they were. Sadako STILL struggles in chase, and now she can't even force her alternative tactic to work. They should remove the speed debuff when manifesting so that she can more effectively use her demanifestation in chase
The Onryo changes are a nerf. Being able to insert the tape on any TV plus TVs being turned for 90s plus no more passive condemned accumulation while holding tapes is a massive nerf. There is no reason now for survivors to not immediately remove the tape from the TV next to the gen they're working on, which means that Sadako won't be able to TP to gens that are being worked on.
@@taragnor yup. Worst case scenario you'll get 2 stacks if you get downed. It's like they literally just came up with the changes on the spot when they were writing the dev update
Another broken/op killer. Not only did they make every killer op with the insane unnecessary buffs not too long ago along with nerfing survivors best perks into oblivion. But now they release one of the most broken killers I’ve even seen. They just continuously ruin the game for survivors to the point where survivor isn’t even fun anymore. Was sitting in a queue for almost 30 minutes the other day just me and the killer and nobody joined. Why even bother playing survivor if you basically have no chance at winning. Makes me sick to my stomach. Killers need to be nerfed immediately, we survivors are the majority so keep us happy BHVR, it’s not hard. Screw the killer mains.
I actually really like the trail of torment rework, it now is a sort of information perk where once you stop being stealthy you know that someone has went back to that gen, actually think it might have use on some killers like deathslinger with monitor and abuse to be able to turn a gen they really want to finish into a death trap
Thing is BNP didn't save 22.5 seconds because you consumed toolbox charges while using it and the 25% happened over the course of 5 seconds. I think it was actually more along the lines of 15s total time save if I'm not mistaken. IMO this is potentially a buff to BNP because it applies 10s of progress basically instantly, and allows you to keep more charges than before, effectively doubling your toolbox.
This actually seems like mostly great changes. The difference between new buckle up and made for this is buckle up can be used while exhausted so it fits in the builds that have an exhaustion perk.
I’d like to see fire up get a buff. I think it should apply to more killer actions like searching lockers and hooking survivors. I think it should also either start off with one stack so it’s not useless until a gen gets finished, or they should increase the buff to 5% per stack
I wanna say as a mikaela main for survivor I've been wanting them to add that "when cleansing OR booning a totem" on clairvoyance ever since I started using her. I wanna use it so bad but it has like no synergy with any other perks hardly so it was super hard to justify fitting on a build.
As a Quentin main mikaelas literally just sandbags and kills herself immediately on 1st hook. Would rather have a meg than a mikaela. Clauds as well I’ve seen will dc or throw a fit as well. Megs are not as bad as people claim them to be. Both Claud’s and mikaelas have a high chance of throwing and avoid them in lobby’s…
@@Izzy-nh9sk Or you can be normal and realize what character somebody plays has very little to do with how they will play. I've seen fengs throw hard asf. I've seen them loop the killer for 5 gens. I've seen them recover entire games from snowballs as well. I've seen mikaelas religiously boon every chance they get. I've gotten ones that play efficiently and know where they need to be.
@@JudojugsVtuber While i agree with you, when i play killer, the majority of the time Mikaela is always the friendly one (yeah anyway i don't understand this "survivor x does always this and that")
dont get hyped. I see far more nerfs than buffs (Cooldown for Teleport, Immunity for Condemned while holding a tape). If you have too many Condemn-Tokens, you just need to put a tape in the nearest TV, not one selected one and the best addons get nerfed. On the other hand, you cannot be stunned by pallets while demanifested (but you cant walk trough them, so pre-drop and thats it). I dont feel good about these chenges today.
@@xmarik1987cool down was needed due to the tp applying map wide condemn. Addons we have literally no idea what they are, she only had one good add on and that was incrediblely unhealthy and actual sadako players didn't even use it. If everyone is constantly going to grab tapes it's still giving her lots of slowdown. I do think they need to revert the any TV works for tape things, but even without it its still very much a buff.
@SSGeneration121 agreed any TV seems like to much, coming from a sadako main, but since you're essentially guaranteed 3 attacks of condemn every teleport, and the counter puts you in great danger from chase, as well as kinda screwing over your teammates. Totally worth it for that, and the ability to ignore head on, blast mine, smash hit, etc (two of which are buffed in this patch) if we can walk through pallets, even better
I love the Onryo rework, but as an Onryo main, the only bit I don’t like is that they can just put a tape into any TV now. TVs are sometimes right next to each other and that can create a bad situation where the survivors can just turn off 2 TVs back-to-back for 90 seconds (assuming the TV still gets turned off by a tape turn-in and it’s the same cooldown). I don’t know, I’m just imagining 4 survivors just turning in tapes and potentially making Sadako’s power useless for a while.
I think maybe if they increased the time it takes for survivors to insert/retrieve the tapes. But since any survivor can just grab a tape at any time so quickly. I still need to run STBFL to stop survivors from messing with TVs right in front of her or stopping SWF survivors from getting condemned on purpose and use the Killer's instinct as a distraction and put the tape back in immediately becoming uncondemned. My main concern is how SWFs are going to play against her now.
I find it quite odd that the update that's going to have Nicholas Cage in the game is also going to have a buff for Onryo because Nicholas Cage mentioned her
The major difference between the Endurance from Made for This and Buckle Up is that MFT triggers on *any* heal, while Buckle Up only applies when healing someone from the dying state. Additionally, Buckle Up will apply the Endurance to the healed survivor as well. They are very similar though, and with how good MFT is I would almost never want to run Buckle Up instead.
18:40 New buckle up is essentially combining the secondary effects of both made for this and we’re gonna live forever, the later of which obviously requires you to also complete one of its conditions to activate the endurance effect for the survivor you healed.
the difference between MFT and Buckle Up is that with Buckle Up, both survivors will be given endurance and not just the survivor who has MFT. Also, Buckle Up will work even when exhausted, whereas MFT will not grant endurance while exhausted. Buckle Up essentially just drops the move speed for better and more consistent endurance and honestly I think it's gonna be pretty good.
@@ICorro007 Ok? That's not the problem. The problem is those situations where you down someone, then their teammates heal them back up within seconds with heal perks, then they tank hits with endurance and keep healing eachother as they go down and it just turns into an obscene shitshow. It happened back when Soul Guard had no cooldown. Also it requiring a perk to counter doesn't make it less annoying.

3:00 I'm glad to see BHVR trying to make the changes I think are positive for Sadako, just to make her less so utterly polarizing where she's either the weakest killer in the game, or one of the strongest entirely based on whether she builds around her Iridescent Tape or not. Where we disagree fundamentally is on Condemned. Sadako absolutely should be more Mori-centric than other killers because: 1) That's her modus-operandi in the movies. She puts you on a death-clock unless you help her find new victims. 2) We already have two other killers based entirely around passive-slowdown gimmicks (Pig and Cenobite). Her power should be actually threatening instead of the sad, sad joke it normally is without her Iridescent Tape add-on. Making it harder to tunnel someone out of the game via teleport spam will mute her top-end win-rates considerably, I suspect. Though it should also make it more interesting to play her "normally" since she won't just be a really, really shitty hybrid of Wraith and Freddy after this. (hopefully) We'll see.
I disagree. As a sadako main, I never liked her condemn being a separate playstyle, and even now I already use it as slowdown more than lethality. I am very happy iri tape is getting nerfed, and since condemn is more a part of her base playstyle now, and she has extra chase power, I think this is a good change. I was always ok with maining a weak killer, and even if it did make her weaker, I think it will make her more fun
@@Deniolia I think dampening the overt effectiveness of specifically tunneling with the Mori is healthy, but without any real threat of her Mori (which is what happens normally without the Iridescent Tape add-on) her "slowdown" is non-existent to anyone with the barest inkling to how she works in practice. I don't think the buff to her base teleport is enough for this since it's STILL one of the longest killer power timers in the game and a NEGATIVE timer at that. (it's a cooldown) This means her slowdown is still effectively null, especially with the -25% stack gain rate from teleports. And yes, I know it's a global stack now for anyone not holding a tape, but I'm comparing that to the 1-2 stacks every 20-30 seconds per target you could get before, which with the proper building using the Ring Drawing add-on, made the Condemned stacks add up much, much faster. It's a good change overall, but I'm not necessarily going to call this a win since without Condemned, Sadako is pure grain shit; literally one of if not the worst killers in the game, just because of how comically easy it is to counter her powers.
I think this update is an overall 9/10. most perk reworks were good (keyword most), coldwind needed it, and the rework on onryo is very cool. But man, the bloodpoint nerf to prove thyself is a low blow
@@Darksage5555who tf is gonna use proof for its "ability" now? 💀it was already kinda mid to begin with, now it's actually unusable bc of bp bonus
Trail of Torment with Fearmonger or Hex: Third Seal has the potential to be very obnoxious. The killer is undetectable for a very long time, and survivors will have trouble knowing the perk is even in play.
This and the Claustrophobia change are very interesting. I can see these perks being worth running on certain Killers, mainly Bubba. Imagine you are being chased by Bubs and a gen completes and cockblocks you from the Window you were just about to vault.
I love most of these changes, especially Sadako's. However the Hangmans Trick change literally looks like a nerf lol. Its a buff in the sense that they 'buffed' Calm Spirit. They increase the aura reading range by 4 meters, but limit the effect to only 4 hooks? So bizzare. Now if they made it like it somewhat like it used to be so that scourge hooks would come back in like 5-10 seconds when sabotaged or broken by any means like Breakdown or survivor death, I think the 2 effects together might actually be worth it and be interesting enough to see used with other scourges. Im worried that over time they are going to just slowly make all hook perks scourge perks with rudimentary buffs to their effects. They already did this with Monstrous Shrine and now Hangmans, whats next? Barbecue? Dead Mans? Blood Echo? If they are going to do that, they better at least make the effect worth being a scourge. At least Monstrous had a pretty neat effect, but this Hangmans change is pretty bad, comparatively. Also, Buckle Up has been from useless, to slightly useless, to okay, and now, to straight up better than WGLF. WGLF grants endurance to the downed guy only, and only once a protection hit or safe unhook has occurred. Made For This works on any full heal, but only grants the effect to the user and not while exhausted. Buckle Up grants endurance to both the user and the recipient, for the same duration, with no prior requirements, and no counter. Although I like it, its probably going to be annoying, but it does seem like they sometimes forget what perks they already have in this game and what they do.
Well, if you run Monstrous with the proposed new Hangman's, you'll see all the chest gobbos hiding in the basement! The actual benefit to this is potentially being able to see survivors inside shack, or main, above the basement, since the aura is probably a sphere or cylinder.
the BNP takes charges away from gen as well. That’s huge. In 3 gen situations you’ll now have a generator that’s faster to complete, even if it’s regressed back to 0.
Seriously, to call it a jebait perk and that it's borderline useless is insane. Also removing the BP bonus seems in line with them removing the BP bonuses from other perks.
As an Onryo main I'm excited to see Sadako reworked to be more consistent, the best change is holding the actual tape. It's basically impossible to capitalize on the survivor doing the secondary objective unlike Pig, now you can actually punish survivors for misusing the cursed tapes...
For the smash hit point, If you stop holding run during a vaulting action you actually recover exhaustion while vaulting. If you do that then you should get multiple smash hits per chase.
I don't think claustrophobia will feel that bad for survivors now that the UI shows your teammates actions. You'll know to plan out your loop route with blocks being blocked in mind.
I like the change the coup change and I agree with the fact that it should only be used when it adds benefit. The way I wanted coup to get more charges though wasn't quite this. I thought it would be a really cool idea if, in addition to getting a stack when a gen is completed, you got a stack the first time a gen hits 50%. That way, not only are you getting more stacks, you are also getting some vague info
No hook grabs means you can pretty much just throw your hands up as killer once the last gen pops (unless you brought an endgame build). Even solo queue players will probably pull off 4 escapes without much trouble as long as the killer isn't blight/nurse or bubba. All this really does is deny poor trapper his one kill at the end of the game, since most people that regularly camp play someone good at it that doesn't need to get hook grabs.
You can still force the survivors to trade for the unhook. They'll need some bullshit to rescue the person who went down for the unhook off the ground before you can grab them and string them up. Flashlight saves, a distraction into FtP, a long distraction into a pre-prepared Boon: Exponential or Unbreakable are potentials here, but I can't think of too many more ways to dodge being stuck on the ground in the endgame collapse.
You can still force hook trades in endgame if you play it right, and even prior to this change they could just bodyblock the grab. I don’t really get the point of wanting 1 kill, it’s still a loss and no one is gonna be any less upset with 1 kill over 0 once it’s over. I see people complain with 2 kills as if it’s not a tie, endgame camping isn’t gonna change much.
i prefer bhvrs new shotgun balancing approach (Big balance changes in quick succesion) much more than the old scalpel approach (changes to a few specific perks that either where good or terriable)
Survivors can just immediately pick up a tape each, denying Oneyo 4 tvs for 90 seconds. As long as they don’t get hit they are completely immune to condemned the entire match. Not a slowdown at all
Change to smash hit seems super fun. Used to run a build based around getting multiple sprint bursts in chase. Been a few years since I've played but at the time you'd lose exhaustion when you weren't running which allowed you to lose it during vaults. Believe my record was 3 sprint bursts in a single chase. If I were still playing I'd for sure try out a similar build with smash hit seems like it'd be a blast
New Smash Hit + Vigil could make for a really cool build where you proc it multiple times in one chase. It could actually be somewhat viable against certain killers like Bubba, Wesker and Blight who run into pallets often.
Buckle up vs made for this, buckle up will work when exhausted and also give it to the survivor you pick up, probably gonna be good with Otz's favourite perk, for the people. Makes a good replacement for wglf since there's no requirements to it.
damn this is a way bigger mid chapter update than I expected. I like that they keep up the regular perk changes. also finally MDR and BNP nerf... patch sounds pretty neat overall
i think the only onryo change i don't like are the tape into t.v. ones. TVs tend to be pretty available map wide, so if a survivor can immediately just go disable a location for your power for 90 seconds is really rough, if all four survivors do this, you have no power to pressure their gens. Obviously, you can go chase a survivor, but that doesn't stop any of the other ones, because all they have to do is go drop it off at the closest t.v. after their gen is over. I just think this aspect is a little too strong for the survivor.
@larsliamvilhelm holding onto the tape will block the teleportation condemn, I still want to wait to see how it plays, but if all survivors grab a tape you would still only have like, 3-4 TV's for a minute and a half, less if you use one.
BNP actually changes the charges of the generator itself, meaning if you were to kick a gen to 0% after it gets a BNP, it'll still take 10 less overall seconds to finish from that point forward. Interesting change.
@larsliamvilhelm basicly it's a Side grade compared to old bnp repairs for less but if that gen regresses you can repair it faster then if it happened to old bnp
Just a heads up, but the reason Smash hit has an extra second over other exhaustion perks is because you spend almost that much stuck in the pallet drop animation. The better way to have changed Hangman's trick would have been to make it so that all survivor auras are revealed to you when you pick up and are carrying a survivor on your shoulder so long as you are further than 4m from a hook. This gives the killer a huge amount of possible intel while also giving survivors breathing room to change their position the moment the killer gets close enough to hook a survivor since they still have to go through the whole hooking animation.
The bots are one of the most exciting things imo. They're really good against certain killers, Huntress comes to mind. They might wanna tweak it because of how they work currently in custom matches.
It's going to be very bad for killers like that. Especially for the new killer they just released the bots are almost impossible to play against. They aren't ready to be released into the main game yet
I feel as if for the Coldwind maps they're changing how the tiles generate and that is why they're "changing" rancid abattoir with cowshed. Like, those 2 versions of the map probably shared a lot of the RNG and they're changing how cowshed generates so it's probably going to affect abattoir too. It's probably also gonna affect Thomson house too but they wanted to change the "strength" of the main building on abattoir so they brought that up.
I feel like buckle up is gonna be a better wglf, since now you can pair it with for the people and you get enough time to run to a loop, and wglf needs an unhook or protection hit to work
That Price Thyself change is honestly really fascinating, but it also reminds me of the change Otz suggested that the bonus should only apply to the person holding the perk, not the group, which would honestly make more sense in terms of the name of the perk ( i.e. you're proving yourself by doing better on the gen) and also prevent any unfair group benefits with them layering it with other Gen perks or something. But idk the numbers on groups using Prove Thyself versus not so maybe it's negligible
So, Technically Hangman’s Trick & Territorial Imperative are getting Nerfed; while Trail of Torment & Saboteur get no change at all :( ~Scourge Hook RNG Could make them spawn in the Corner of the Map, making the Aura Reveal worst then before. As a Sadako main I'm really lukewarm on the rework. It feels like teleporting will now be useless as a mobility, chase, scouting or ambush power. Survivors will keep TVs around their location turned off, if you teleport to the wrong TV while looking for survivors you're now a stranded M1 killer. This feels like they gave her a less versatile version of Demogorgon's portals.
Yeah and the condemn from teleporting is going to useless because everyone is going to be grabbing a tape. The benefits of holding a tape far outweigh the drawbacks.
A counter perspective for Prove thyself is that although grouping up is bad, the time it saves on generators isn't. Often times if a killer has a chase that doesn't go well, or doesn't check the correct gen, it's completed before the killer has a chance to do anything. The whole purpose of the penalty to multi person generator is so 4 players can't instantly do a generator after hiding and the killer has no counterplay.
My complaint about the bots is they can feel unfair at times on the killer side. When they aren’t crouching next to a c wall and decide to loop a tile with high walls it’s absolutely apparent that they can see you through walls forcing you to break a pallet you would otherwise be able to mind game a normal survivor on. From my experience it’s also weirdly harder to hit ranged attacks on them but that might just be me.
@@peterjonesly Im a survivor main. I was just pointing out one thing I noticed that I dislike about the bots that could be changed, Im not trying to boycott them. They’re a good addition and I’m glad they’re being added.

Yes! One time on the game, I was playing a huntress match against bots, and there was the corner stairs with the pallet, I literally could not even get in chase with the bot because I wasn't fast enough, and it could obviously read what I was doing through the wall.
@@peterjonesly seeing Problems with something otherwise good means we don't care about balance? Making comments like that is EXACTLY WHY survivor mains are considered entitled and selfish. The bots are good but they ARE flawed. They know where killers are through walls during loops at all times, and they almost always dodge ranged hits because they know exactly where the projectile's going and know how to avoid it. I have a better chance of hitting a hatchet shot on an actual player than I do a bot. Bhvr needs to tweak them. If you can't realize that, then you're either blind, have zero killer playtime, or are lying through your teeth.
I've played against some bots lately to test killers I've never played before. Some of them are pretty nuts. Playing the shack really well and even some simple loops. I guess what level they include is the question.
Honestly, as a killer main, I love the addition of survivor bots. It felt /really/ shitty that organized players could intentionally disconnect to just 'poof' out of existence to either spite you and deny bloodpoints, or to deny key perk value (like scourge hook, blood warden, bbq, etc). Most other games at a bare minimum would leave the idle-player's body just sitting there in the world to prevent disconnect exploits like that. Having a bot is just a nice to have on top of it. (And theoretically, now that your body doesn't poof out of existence, BHVR can work on adding a reconnect system incase someone wants to resume the game that they accidentally lost connection to)
Scott you are wrong, DC's being replaced as bots potentially means no more statically flopping onto the ground in an instant. Just imagine how less funny it may be to DC dodge a billy.
If sadako can teleport 4 times a minute, that means she can spread 3 condemned stacks a minute. Meaning you will need to do a tape once a minute, which I think might be a disaster.
@@halfheart3290 The only way 2 minutes isn't an absurd amount of time to be able to mori everyone is if all four go to separate gens and Onryo doesn't chase any of them because she's teleporting back and forth. That way survivors finish 4 gens and a bit of the fifth by the time she can mori. But in a normal match you're lucky to have 2 gens in 2 minutes and she becomes tombstone Myers v2.
You don't gain condemn if you do a tape, so all you have to do is go hold a tape, this will not work once survivors realize they can counter it. I think this will be a really good change leading to people playing sadako without slug build.
Coup De Grace still needs to be changed to charge up as you chase, and then give you a longer lunge. "If you've been chasing for a while you get better lunges until you hit a lunge or lose the chase" basically. It wouldn't be a meme then.
I mean he's a cool dude and respect for mastering her condemned strat, but in general playing against people using that strat is one of the worst things ever in solo q. I think he knows Sadako well enough that he'll be able to adjust. Games last 20+ minutes frequently with the condemned strat, half the time people end up bleeding out on the ground, and it basically turns into something of a twins game. Slugfest until you bleed out or she condemns you. And if you DON'T play her that way, she's unbearably weak. I think these changes are good for her, but they may have to tweak things a bit since it's gonna be so different. She deserved a rework.

I think the Buckle Up buff is going to allow them to remove the endurance from MFT to make people have to run more perks together to make it work and MFT doesnt really need the extra effect anyway
I'm not sure if I would call them buffs. Her ability to teleport quickly was nerfed, so her mobility is less than before. It's more leaning into condemnation over Teleports, and I don't know if that's a good thing or not.
@@The_Nocturnal_Raven the numbers have been tweaked for more possibilities of getting a survivor to fully condemned. This is a pretty good thing imo. Also the demanifested changes are pretty good as well. Not being stunned and no chase proc? They helped her basekit a bit.
In my experience, the bots are actually pretty decent in chase, or at least against m1 killers. They do however struggle against anyone who can hit through walls/over loops (huntress, nemi, pinhead, pyramid head, etc.) as they will just stand on the other side waiting for you to try looping it in the traditional way, and will at most crouch, but that doesn’t help against half those killers.
hangmans trick being turned into a scourge hook is the perfect opputinity to give us a eprk that gives as 1 or 2 more scourge hooks from the perk itself. this would help combat bad scourge hook placement
I'm so happy they've reworked Sadako to actually USE her power, the whole theme is meant to be Survivors being forced to use tapes to lose Condemned but the current design actively disincentivises using them while she runs around the map hoping to hit someone who doesn't know how stacks work - or uses the Condemn only strat which just feels exploitative (basically one of those "does this team of randoms all know how this rarely seen strat works, plus how to counter it and are they capable of the necessary teamwork to beat it?" type mechanics, which is just miserable because we all know the odds of that). We'll have to wait and see if the new design comes together but it sounds like a big step in the right direction.
Massively overlooked benefit of survivor bots is stopping teams from abusing disconnects to deny the killer from hooking the survivor. Denying bloodwarden, painres etc with a dc is extremely toxic. I'm hoping the bot replaces the survivor in the exact same state as they left seamlessly.
New Challenge: try a stall build that makes the game go on so long all 4 survivors DC and then 12 hook the bots if that doesn’t automatically end the game.
I’ve won a few game’s recently from grabbing the last survivor trying to save their hooked teammate even though they were healthy, and honestly it’s really unfair that to properly save they’d have to trick me into hitting them, i’m glad hook grabs are being removed
the universal condemn from TVs seems like it can hurt sadako, i very frequently project to a TV to gain information. survivors getting condemned tells you that there is one nearby without having to look around, which can save precious few seconds when looking for chases
I think it could go both ways. I think overall when people get used to how to play her with the new play style she will go up on most people's tier list. Passive slowdown is always a buff, plus if you can teleport and get a hook on a taped guy that's almost 2 stacks on the whole team.
No it wont, it will now apply condemn to ALL survivors and more survivors being condemned means more survivors running around looking for tvs. More survivors looking for tvs means less survivors doing gens.
One thing I misunderstood: the new BNP now makes generators take 80 seconds to complete, like old generators. This is a pretty unique way of changing them IMO! Also killer swing cooldown is 2.7s not 3s.

I found that my Trail of Torment usually ended because the gen regressed back to 0. 😅

Sadako absolutely should be more Mori-centric than other killers because:
1) That's her modus-operandi in the movies.
(hopefully)
We'll see.

This and the Claustrophobia change are very interesting.
I can see these perks being worth running on certain Killers, mainly Bubba.
Imagine you are being chased by Bubs and a gen completes and cockblocks you from the Window you were just about to vault.
I like the Clairvoyance change because she came with 2 boons, not her adept has full synergy.

@@ALE199-ita He’s quoting what he said from the video and explaining it to you
As an Onryo main I'm excited to see Sadako reworked to be more consistent, the best change is holding the actual tape.
That way, not only are you getting more stacks, you are also getting some vague info
if you want to know about why is 3/4 condemn for sadoko and not 1 condemn stack search sadoko rule 34
Killers have more than enough to win end game like pls stfu this whole patch was killer sided be fucking grateful
The disconnect bots will also prevent you from dcing to prevent hooking perks like blood warden, grim embrace, bbq, and pain res.
The coup changes you suggested are probably possible, but remember with BHVR, "a bit hard" means "we will break everything else"
The bots hard counter Singularity lmao. They know exactly when you look through a camerapod and hide perfectly.
@@Angel_Flash that's pretty bad as well, I remember testing Singularity and the bots were basically omnipotent lol.
@@Angel_Flash why is no one talking about this!
@@Mickeymouse7727 Cuz you won't get a bot every single match? and in most scenarios only one bot in a match
I feel like buckle up is gonna be a better wglf, since now you can pair it with for the people and you get enough time to run to a loop, and wglf needs an unhook or protection hit to work
I hope the map changes helps out Dredge with locker placements. Cold wind sucks for Dredge at time
I feel like with the removal of hook grabs, perks like STBFL and NOED will become more popular, especially noed because of the hope and MFT combo.
One good thing to come out of the Sadako changes is that PWYF stacks are gonna be REAl easy to get now too. Zoomin' ghost girl, here I come.
It is already
So, Technically Hangman’s Trick & Territorial Imperative are getting Nerfed; while Trail of Torment & Saboteur get no change at all :(
~Scourge Hook RNG Could make them spawn in the Corner of the Map, making the Aura Reveal worst then before. All hooks at 8m would be fine
~Adding a Cooldown to TI makes a Situation Perk Harder to make use of, and Reducing the Range encourages Basement Camping
~The Problem with Saboteur isn't its Speed, but Rather: Touching a Hook for 0.001secs puts it on a Long Cooldown. Just rework the Cooldown to a Successful Sabo
~The Problem with Trial isnt Injuring Survs, its Survs Taping a Gen to stops it Regression or Kicking a 3% Gen and then the Perk goes on a Cooldown... Remove the cooldown
Yeah I'm a bit on the fence too. I never played her condemned build so the teleport nerf feels a bit tough. I'm hoping she turns out better though.
From my experience it’s also weirdly harder to hit ranged attacks on them but that might just be me.
to be fair they're also not particularly smart either, it's not rare to see them run into dead zones or into entirely random directions
@@peterjonesly Im a survivor main. I was just pointing out one thing I noticed that I dislike about the bots that could be changed, Im not trying to boycott them. They’re a good addition and I’m glad they’re being added.
@@peterjoneslyBro, you are the one who just unfolded that dumb ass "Us vs them" drama. No one said bots were op or even needed a change, they just talked abt their experience and you felt this triggered 💀
I play quite a bit of Sadako when I get the itch. This change seems healthy, but I want to see the add ons, etc before I say for sure.
Theoretically if you put on hangman's trick and monsterous shrine you can have free territorial imperative
Does the 10 meters expand upwards into shack? If so this could make for a mean basement build.
@@dumblenutz5561 aura reading like that tends to just be a sphere around the affected thing. big enough to cover the whole shack.
No you don’t hahahahah you clearly don’t know what hangman’s trick does
Honestly, as a killer main, I love the addition of survivor bots.
Doesn’t it take 7 stacks to morri someone? So would that be like over 2 minutes if sadako is teleporting on cooldown?
These patches notes are really something. But spirit nerf was due long ago. RIP one pump Willie. Hopefully he will endure the mechanic nerf.
He was not happy about it
Omg where can I see one pump willies reaction
@@ThealvitaOnryo is good, stop with this trash streamers biased crap. More people are seeing that she's decent and balanced, and even Greyletters has put her in top C just like me
@@mattiacicchetti4728 have played against one too many condemned Sadakos and it is not riveting gameplay at all. I think the Buckle Up buff is going to allow them to remove the endurance from MFT to make people have to run more perks together to make it work and MFT doesnt really need the extra effect anyway
bhvr's been doing great lately
You also get endurance from MFT healing an injured survivor to full. But buckle up only works on healing from dying state to injured
Onryo buffs are also appreciated, I'll probably play as her a little more now.
This will make playing as and against sadako alot more fun. I'm all a out it.
@@danzargy I agree with those parts. I'll have to play the new version to see how it really is.
you appreciate nerfs for an already weak killer?
In my experience, the bots are actually pretty decent in chase, or at least against m1 killers. They do however struggle against anyone who can hit through walls/over loops (huntress, nemi, pinhead, pyramid head, etc.) as they will just stand on the other side waiting for you to try looping it in the traditional way, and will at most crouch, but that doesn’t help against half those killers.
And Nic cage with onryo changes, this one of the better mid chapters
hangmans trick being turned into a scourge hook is the perfect opputinity to give us a eprk that gives as 1 or 2 more scourge hooks from the perk itself. this would help combat bad scourge hook placement
It’s one step in the right and 10 massive steps backwards. It’s an overall nerf to her.
9:12 You are NOT gonna go down, because your fully healed teamate will get a free save while you run away after an M1.
I'm very suspicious of BHVR recently, it seems like they're listening to the community? Not complaining but it is a nice surprise :D
something nefarious is brewing at bhvr hq
Made for This endurance also works healing any type of health stats.
Buckle up is from dying to injured
Massively overlooked benefit of survivor bots is stopping teams from abusing disconnects to deny the killer from hooking the survivor. Denying bloodwarden, painres etc with a dc is extremely toxic. I'm hoping the bot replaces the survivor in the exact same state as they left seamlessly.
For Buckle Up I really hope it keeps the speed boost that is has right now, so Endurance + Speed Boost (basically a Borrowed Time for slugged people)
FINALLY COUP IS FINALLY FUN AGAIN
Spine Chill is like Uncle Ben dying in every Spider Man movie
I can also see a smash hit/vigil/any means necessary/ parental guidance build for insane value
insane on safe pallets
insane value once every 6 games
I'm loving the change to Torment.
It is pretty much glued to my Legion.
New Challenge: try a stall build that makes the game go on so long all 4 survivors DC and then 12 hook the bots if that doesn’t automatically end the game.
Play pool 0apapaap
I’ve won a few game’s recently from grabbing the last survivor trying to save their hooked teammate even though they were healthy, and honestly it’s really unfair that to properly save they’d have to trick me into hitting them, i’m glad hook grabs are being removed
I main Onryo, and I really want to see her add-ons before making a call
It's odd that they didn't document the addon changes at all.
I'm the most excited about onryo, it'll make the tapes actually do some slowdown and add something to her gameplay.
Not sure how it's implemented, but having the killer not know when a bot has taken over would be a benefit.
The devs and I disagree with this opinion. They are making it clear when a bot takes over and even made it have a unique sound.
the universal condemn from TVs seems like it can hurt sadako, i very frequently project to a TV to gain information. survivors getting condemned tells you that there is one nearby without having to look around, which can save precious few seconds when looking for chases
The Onryō changes are just overall a massive nerf to her
How so?
Exactly this wouldn't be a problem if she wasn't so bad at chases plus these changes encourage survivors to spam tapes so you can't teleport
