- The Los Angeles Lakers play the New Orleans Pelicans in the play-in tournament, but some people are saying the Lakers should lose on purpose to have a shot to be the 8th seed. Nick Wright thinks that this is wrong, and explains why the Lakers should play the team they’re scheduled to play and not look ahead in order to avoid the Denver Nuggets.

Denver will still probably kill the Lakers again, but to me there is another very important reason to play them immediately: don't give Pelinka any excuses to do nothing for another summer.

Tanking team are teams with a bunch of losers on the team. You can call yourself a winner, go out and intentionally lose.
