So basically Coach Dambrot said that what he’ll miss the most is teaching young players how to be resilient and push through hard times. This is great coming from a basketball coach. That particular ability would help anyone, not just basketball players, on any given day. What a guy!
Many athletes who have competed at the college or professional level will tell you being on a sports team is not about the sport. It’s about life, and the sport is just an outlet for stress. Love for your teammates and coaches, kindness, emotional intelligence, sacrifice, empathy, approach and work ethic-all these things can be built in a locker room.

The guys today has way more options when it comes to offense. People always say guys today don’t play defense but if most of them watch this podcast. They will learn that’ it’s much more to it than they think.
When you learn to understand the game and see what’s going on it starts to make sense that teams and players score more and easier. There’s only so many plays out there. There’s only so many ways to defend a play. Coaches have seen these a million times so they have counters for everything now. Almost nothing is new. It takes time to get ahead. Right now the offensive game(thanks in part to rules) is just ahead of the game defensively. There’s no good way really to defend anymore. You can’t leave guys wide open. I started watching basketball in the 2022 finals between Boston and GS and I decided to buy 2k22 to learn how basketball works. Since then I have fell in love with basketball and watched old games and the history of the sport. Which is why I'm thankful for this podcast and other ones too for feeding me with more ball knowledge. Shout to LBJ and JJ for this🙏🏾
so I've been a fan off basketball with about less than 10% of understanding of the terms, this podcast has greatly increased my knowledge of the game. It's fun to watch games, but now it's more fun because I can tell what's happening at least 3 out of 5 times.
I started watching LeBron James when I was in elementary school at 8 years old, I’m now 29 years old about to be 30 later this year. WOW I can’t believe it’s been over two decades! I’ve been saying he was the 🐐 then and it came to fruition 👑 James✊🏾#My🐐
THE best podcast on basketball by far. I love the stories & debates on the others but nothing beats LEARNING the game. & understanding what’s going on between the lines apart from the box score & media. This is gonna be game changing please continue to spread the knowledge. We appreciate you.
I love this podcast so much. I live in the UK and started watching the sport in the last two years and I can't begin to tell you how attached I've become to this sport. Lebron and JJ'S chemistry and knowledge of the game is bewildering and I could listen to them talk all day. I'm learning so much. Thanks for the hard work of everyone on the screen and behind the screen. Much love from across the pond.
Yea ever since this podcast I’ve been trying to look for what they’ve told us. In general just trying to understand spacing and basketball plays in general. It’s been fun so thank you guys
Can you guys please start filming JJ’s opening clipboard diagram explanations from the left? His right hand is in the way as he manifests X&O’s and I think it’d be a minor change that had a big impact for viewing learners😊

As a middle and high school basketball coach, what Coach Dambrot said at the end needs a whole discussion in its own: "You're going to hit some rough moments, but you gotta battle through... These young people need advice as to how to handle adversity, because what happens a lot of times is they get bailed out of adversity now. Nobody really teaches them what to do when they hit it, because we’ve all been there… Just when you think things are going great, something happens, and if you don’t know how to handle it, it’s really difficult.” - Coach Keith Dambrot Too often am I seeing kids who are so used to things being done for them, things going their way, them not being able to handle adversity on and off the basketball court. This is a great message for coaches, but an even BETTER message for parents and leaders of young minds. Thank you Coach.
If you read his story, probably a a lot of that is referring to himself. While he caused he own adversity, he worked to redeem his career within basketball.

Every episode of this podcast has been food for my mind and soul. I've been able to add pieces to my playbook, I've gained knowledge and perspective on how to be a better coach and lead my young athletes. This is a masterclass every week. Well done!
I will never forget Game 6 MIA vs SA - I was in year 12 English class, watching the box score update & reading play-by-play on our school laptop; as we refresh the window every twenty seconds. (My classmates & I were supporting Miami) 4th quarter, there was five secs left & the score was 92-95 - we thought the game was over. What are the odds of tying the game or winning in that situation right? We hit refresh and see the score 95-95. We all stood up & celebrated in excitement. Of course, Miami went on to win the championship. What a moment in time for four kids / fans of the game.

Finally!!! First ever podcast with people knowing about the game, instead of journalists giving their opinions, bias, predictions, etcetera. Well done, congrats, thank you for this unique show ❤
Legitmately the best podcast in all of sports. This is what every sports podcast wants to be
I started watching basketball in the 2022 finals between Boston and GS and I decided to buy 2k22 to learn how basketball works. Since then I have fell in love with basketball and watched old games and the history of the sport. Which is why I'm thankful for this podcast and other ones too for feeding me with more ball knowledge. Shout to LBJ and JJ for this🙏🏾
y'all doing something so special with this podcast. thank y'all !!
so I've been a fan off basketball with about less than 10% of understanding of the terms, this podcast has greatly increased my knowledge of the game. It's fun to watch games, but now it's more fun because I can tell what's happening at least 3 out of 5 times.
"There's a difference between definition and connotation--" Favourite bit in the episode.
I Think This is The Best Episode, These Guys Really Talking Hoops I Learned A lot Watching this One!🔥🧠🏀
I started watching LeBron James when I was in elementary school at 8 years old, I’m now 29 years old about to be 30 later this year. WOW I can’t believe it’s been over two decades! I’ve been saying he was the 🐐 then and it came to fruition 👑 James✊🏾#My🐐
Same here, I’ll turn 30 in December sadly lol
@@landonandrews3013your life is on the up brother. Plan, train hard and keep grinding. God bless

Same man turning 30 in 3 months.
Same here bro, 30 in July.
This has revolutionized the podcasting landscape, elevating basketball analysis to an entirely new level.
This is the most in-depth and insightful basketball podcast hands down!
THE best podcast on basketball by far. I love the stories & debates on the others but nothing beats LEARNING the game. & understanding what’s going on between the lines apart from the box score & media. This is gonna be game changing please continue to spread the knowledge. We appreciate you.
J J Reddick is so good at analyzing and breaking down basketball that one day people will forget of how great of a basketball player he was.💯
This podcast is ELITE
The giggles about the pension is crazy 😂 they was bubbly as shit 🔥🔥🔥🔥
We need Mind the Game merch now 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bro this is so wholesome, nice and entertaining I could cry because of happiness and I really never cry. I love the show and the chemistry.
This podcast is literally a basketball blueprint
Yea ever since this podcast I’ve been trying to look for what they’ve told us. In general just trying to understand spacing and basketball plays in general. It’s been fun so thank you guys
Can you guys please start filming JJ’s opening clipboard diagram explanations from the left? His right hand is in the way as he manifests X&O’s and I think it’d be a minor change that had a big impact for viewing learners😊
Was about to write this - great call!
The best podcast out there right now on basketball! I love hearing JJ and Bron break down the game like this!!!!! More please!!!!!
This brings me joy and elevates my love of basketball. Thanks guys.
Now 27 and working and my childhood basketball hero who I used to pretend to be in the driveway is still giving them the work. I’m not sure how I’ll feel when he retires.
I HOPE HE NEVER RETIRES
@@TheMars4s right! When he does he should own the Vegas team and be heavily involved in media still. NBA ratings would love it. Imagine if MJ was on the TNT crew or just came and talked about the league often.
This is the best podcast out rn
School starting early for me this morning 😂
trollin' ahh😂😂
@@jogzz7779nah I think a lot of basketball fans don’t realize how much they don’t know until they see something like this lol

When one of the best player ever speaking about basketball I listening and learning something new.
Thanks for the podcast, greetings from Serbia! 🙌👏👂
As a middle and high school basketball coach, what Coach Dambrot said at the end needs a whole discussion in its own:
"You're going to hit some rough moments, but you gotta battle through... These young people need advice as to how to handle adversity, because what happens a lot of times is they get bailed out of adversity now. Nobody really teaches them what to do when they hit it, because we’ve all been there… Just when you think things are going great, something happens, and if you don’t know how to handle it, it’s really difficult.” - Coach Keith Dambrot
Too often am I seeing kids who are so used to things being done for them, things going their way, them not being able to handle adversity on and off the basketball court.

As a former player, a current coach, and a diehard LeBron James fan (Cleveland, OH), I'm grateful to hear these takes from both Bron and JJ. I've been able to add pieces to my playbook, I've gained knowledge and perspective on how to be a better coach and lead my young athletes. This is a masterclass every week. Well done!
Definitely one of the best pro sports podcasts on RUclips. I love the depth of the analysis.
We're privileged,to listen 🐐Lebron talk about basketball. Also kudos to JJ,for his knowledge about the game.
Everything you hear in this podcast is both true and legendary
I will never forget Game 6 MIA vs SA - I was in year 12 English class, watching the box score update & reading play-by-play on our school laptop; as we refresh the window every twenty seconds.
(My classmates & I were supporting Miami)
4th quarter, there was five secs left & the score was 92-95 - we thought the game was over. What are the odds of tying the game or winning in that situation right?
We hit refresh and see the score 95-95. We all stood up & celebrated in excitement.
Of course, Miami went on to win the championship. What a moment in time for four kids / fans of the game.
Awesome man…true sports fans hold memories like that … you can’t remember what I did last week but I remember where I was watching when Kobe had 81
literally learning so much from watching these lol cant help but finding myself sipping on my own wine while you guys do the same while talking hoops on an elevated level 😄
JJ. You are one of the most incredible sports podcast talents we have. Please never stop bringing this content to the surface, this podcast alone is game changing. All love bro💚💯
