  • I set homemade crab pots overnight, baited with one of the best baits for catching Giant Mud Crabs in North Queensland. Returning the following morning, I enjoy a perfect boat ride through the mangrove lined river before pulling the crab traps. #returnoutdoors #crabbing

Nice to see some old school safety pots in action. They certainly were thick - just a little under sized, but you still got enough for a feed with the knowledge the ones you released will grow for another day.

G'day Brad. WOW, I've only just discovered your chanel the other day. It's great to see another bloke that fishes the same way as I have done all my life (69 years old). No over-priced gimmicky rods & reels or lures that are designed to lure & catch the fisho more than the fish. Just ordered a new tinny, Quintrex Outback Explorer 3.9mtr, so very similar to yours. Luvin your video's mate, really inspiring and down to earth. Keep them coming !

Too true, it is not necessary to spend huge amounts of money in hope of catching fish. There is plenty of great value fishing gear that is affordable and meet the requirements of most fishers. Hope you get many hours of enjoyment from your new boat. Cheers!

A nice recipe that I recently tried, muddy pizza. Used olive oil on the base instead of tomato sauce, sprinkle of cheese, crab meat and fresh chopped chives, more cheese, a few sun dried tomatoes, a sprinkle of fresh chopped parsley and finish off with some parmesan. I kept everything to a minimum, except for the crab meat, so I didn't lose the mud crab taste, maattte.👌

Oh not worried about your take, you live there, I’m from NSW and even though our take is a smaller size, if I went QLD for a holiday, it be highly frustrating getting caught between the two facts, you have plenty but are limited, where limited but can pick them off. Anyway, cast nets is another jealousy we have when it comes to bait or prawns, it’s chalk n cheese. Cheerio fella
