Once again AWESOME 👏 What a pristine fishery 👍 and it appears to be yours and yours alone 👍 really enjoying your videos/ presentations thankyou. Keep safe cheers Geoff 🎣😀
That gold spot cod is very yummy. I like deep fried one, deep slit on both side, toss some turmeric powder & salt, marinate for 10 minutes before going into hot oil
Can't beat live baiting for barra. It's hard work at times but is worth the results when the fish are on. I'm so hungry now for some fried crumbed barra bits. Keep the videos coming mate with the great content.
Too true, caching live bait can be a challenge and hard work! The reward of quality fish often helps us forget the effort of catching bait by the end of the day. Glad you enjoyed watching!👍
Another awesome video mate. It made me want to go back to live bait fishing instead of loosing $50 of lures each time and catching nothing lol. Keep it up.
Excellent video again. Great to join you for another wonderful day fishing in the beautiful North Queensland outdoors. Not to often do you get to see the strike happen on screen. Did I see your sinker on a separate drop line?
It is great fishing when you can be confident the next bite is about to happen and leave the camera on to capture it. I was fishing with a Paternoster (dropper) rig which has the sinker attached to the bottom. Thanks for your question!👍
Well done Brad! What a magical day on the water, that feed you cooked up really got me salivating! Nothing better than a fresh feed of fish and prawns. Looking forward to more of your content mate.
It was brilliant days fishing. It was very satisfying sitting out on the river eating the fish and prawns caught earlier. I look forward to making many more videos. Appreciate your comment!👍
Hello dear. Wishing you an exciting start to the week. Very interesting sharing. I am very impressed with how you created this video. Always support and accompany you. 💞💓💗💖
I watched the whole of your video n l love it, it just hurt me alot anytime i see u catch a cod n realeased it again. You know what cod or hrouper are the most expemsive fish in my place n i'd love to see you catch it n cook it.. thanks mate..🙏
Sensational video and great little session. I fish around the Proserpine/Bowen regions not far to the South of you but only just starting to learn how to catch Barra. Everytime I use live prawn I have similar issues with all other species like cod/bream snavelling them up!! I’m interested to know what outfits your running for your Barra fishing? Rod/Reel/Line weight as you seem to be a winner with those combos!! Thanks again for the great videos keep them coming and I’ll continue to try learning.
The rods are Shimano Revolution PE 2- 4, reel as are a Peen Clash II 5000 and l use about a 12kg braid with a 50 or 60lb mono leader. Good luck with the fishing. Glad you enjoyed watching!👍
Love the simplicity…we get carried away with technology…at the moment I’m about to get rid of my 65lb Watersnake because I find operating it more of a nuisance than benefit…thinking about upgrading to a spot lock unit for anchoring convenience…but I’m still not convinced…lotsa $$$. Never used them in the old days…and caught fish… I noticed you don’t use an electric trolling motor…what are your thoughts on them?
My thoughts on accessories for boating and fishing is there’s no right or wrong approach! I just do what I enjoy and works for me! Personally I choose to keep it simple as possible. It is an interesting question you have asked as there is always a new ‘must have’ for fishing! Do we really need it to catch fish?? Thanks for your comment!👍
Great vids love watching them. Do you have any videos of your rig rundown and how to use your setup? I fish in the Bohle in townsville, desperate to catch a barra!
Gday mate how goods life eh? good catch of barra and some prawns as well hows the new motor going ? imagine what that feed would have cost in a resteraunt im envious take care .
Life definitely feels good when the fish are biting. The little Yamaha is running perfectly. I am glad l didn’t pay 💰 restaurant prices for the feed. I was equally impressed with natures dining room!👍Take Care!
There is a good chance they would take a lure! Occasionally the fish hold up in one area but they do tend to move depending on a range of varying environmental conditions! Thanks for your question!👍
Glad you enjoyed the video! The cast net was made in North Queensland, I don’t think they are any longer available. I purchased mine from the Fishing Warehouse in Townsville.👍
Hey mate I’m a cairns young lad got a few questions regarding moon phases, moon set and rise and also high and low tide and what structures you find work well around those times… is it okay if I ask cheers mate.
Tides, moon phase, water temperature and the time of year all have an impact on where and when to fish for barra. From my own experience there are no guarantees what works one day will produce the next. My best and not real helpful advice is to go as often as you can and most importantly work out what conditions don’t produce fish in your area. Good luck with the fishing. Thanks for your your question!👍
@@returnoutdoors2210 hey mate really appreciate the response, I’ve been told full moon and new moon are good times - low tide for creek mouths and rivers, high tide for rock walls on headlands etc. Higher the water temp the better. is this some good knowledge so far? just can’t seem to pattern them.
The rods are Shimano Revolution PE 2 - 4. The reels are Penn Clash11 - 5000, spooled with 12kg braid and a 50lb leader. Thanks for your question. Cheers!
Loved your dinner guest popping in LOL that is amazing the quality of fish that came off that one snag? do you have to get really tight up on there or are you fishing a bit off it Cheers Garry
The dinner guest in the video is always welcome!😀 There were definitely a number of quality fish holding tight against this snag! Thanks for your support!👍
To be perfectly honest I can’t recall what tides or moon phase I fished for this video. From my own experience I have found different tides suit different river systems. Apologies I can’t be of much help. Thanks for your question!👍
