Great video again. Don't thumb the spool 😂 burnies lol. My moneys on shovel nose ray. I've caught some monsters down there in the past that have taken some real stooping.
Superb video as usual. Still making it look way easer than it really is. I'm guessing you may have had a Noah stealing your spool of braid. There was no stopping that monster. The new shirt looks good and suits the channel perfectly. Simple, no nonsense and effective! Great stuff - keep your excellent content coming.
Will never know for certain what was on the line but a shark is a real possibility! Thanks heaps for your support and comment it is greatly appreciated! Glad you enjoyed the video!👍
Mate, absolutely love your vids, my partner and 2 boys love sitting down and watching you every week, my partner recognises the beach, she grew up down there. Great spot. Would love to see a vid of a walk around of you baot set up, with your front and rear cast decks and hatches. Great lil set up you got there.
Fantastic to hear you and your family enjoy the videos. I get great enjoyment sharing them with you. Hope they bring back lots of special memories for your partner from her time spent in this area! Great idea to do a video of the set up of the boat! Take Care!👍
Another great video mate. I definitely think it was a Bull Shark that was screaming the line off as I got dusted by one yesterday. I think the best strategy is to keep everything simple and enjoy fishing.
Gday mate another lesson in how to catch great fish , i dont know what was on your line wonder if it may have been a shark or even a ray they way it was pulling the line of your reel are those cod not much good for eating ? How fresh do you want your fish ? that fresh caught a few minutes ago and onto the plate .That first jack would have been legal and those pikeys as well great video .
My initial thoughts were a shark but it has been suggested a big jewfish! The fish for lunch was definitely fresh! Mangrove Jack and Bream are always welcome entertainment when fishing the rivers. Take care!👍
The rod I caught the barra on is a Daiwa TD Black - 6 to 12 kg. The reel is a Daiwa Legalis 5000, spooled with 20 pound Daiwa J-Braid. Thanks for your question!👍
If you fish where I think you're fishing, there's big jewfish that swim through there sometimes. When I was a kid I was fishing there with some family and friends and one of them pulled in a jewwy that was nearly as big as the 4 metre tinny we were in. He was reeling it in for ages and nearly tipped the boat getting it in 😂 Love the content man, I look forward to it each weekend
From my experience there is no right or wrong when it comes to tides. Each location I fish will produce fish on different tides and varying times of the year. Thanks heaps for your question. Cheers!👍
might've been a shark that broke away.. real good and fresh fish fry; cant beat that.. another great video..
It was great to have fresh fish for lunch! Glad you enjoyed watching the video!👍
I’m thinking a shark or a ray! Nice video again - great fishing and crabbing with no BS!!
Regardless of what it was I wouldn’t want it in the boat! Good fun all the same! Thanks for your support!👍
Thanks for vid. I never did like cod, especially rock cod, we used to go rock fishing. Favorite is bream, and drummer. Good fighters.
I have never eaten or caught drummer. Thanks for sharing! Take care!👍

Cracking video mate - simple is best too.
Thinking the man in the grey suit had you running, still a great sound to hear a screaming drag/spool!
Quite possibly had a smaller fish that got eaten by a shark! Thanks for your comment!👍
Great video again. Don't thumb the spool 😂 burnies lol. My moneys on shovel nose ray. I've caught some monsters down there in the past that have taken some real stooping.
The thumb definitely got warm! It is always a mystery when we hook and loose fish regardless of the size! Thanks for your feedback!👍

What are your couple of set ups your using in this vid brother ? Rod, reel and line etc… ?
The rod I caught the barra on is a Daiwa TD Black - 6 to 12 kg. The reel is a Daiwa Legalis 5000, spooled with 20 pound Daiwa J-Braid.
Thanks for your question!👍
That was a fair old run pity we didn't get to see what it was 👍🎣
It definitely would have been nice to see whatever was on the line! However I may not have wanted it in the boat!😉Thanks for your comment!👍

Nice new shirt and cap mate with your moto on it. When can I get one? 😂
They are just a bit of a work in progress until we get the right material and design! I will let you know when they are available!👍
Dammm! The sound of the drag at 3mins 40! what reel are you using?
The reel is a Penn Clash II 5000. It was definitely making a sweet sound. Thanks for your comment!👍
Awesome stuff mate. I’m new to Barra fishing what would say best part of tide for Barra would be?
From my experience there is no right or wrong when it comes to tides. Each location I fish will produce fish on different tides and varying times of the year. Thanks heaps for your question. Cheers!👍
They're called sharks and there is no stopping them when they thieve your fish...but you knew that.
I had my suspicions!😉. Thanks heaps for commenting!
Good job father
Glad you enjoyed!👍
Great video
I appreciate your feedback! Glad you enjoyed!👍
What rig do you use for Barra. There’s no swivel? Love to hear back cheers.
When I fish live prawns I use a Dropper / Paternoster rig. Thanks for your question. Cheers! 👍
the break was at the lead line - must be one with sharp teeth - and the strong run - must be a barracuda
I guess I will never know for sure what it was! Thanks for your feedback!👍
@@returnoutdoors2210 like the continous drag sound and power train feeling. thanks for sharing the experience
I vote big stingray
Definitely a possibility! Thanks for your feedback!👍
Gold spot cod are better eating than Black spot.
Good to know! I will cook a Gold Spot Cod up in an upcoming video! Thanks for your comment!👍
everytime i watch your vids i get the itch, then i remember what fishing from shore is like and i lose interest
Fishing can be quite difficult at times from the shore! However a good fish or two soon helps ease the pain! Good luck with your fishing!👍
Hello can you not eat that cod?
Yes cod are quite good to eat. Thanks for your question!👍
im thinking it was a shovel nose shark
I agree there is definitely a good chance it was a shark of some description. Thanks for commenting!👍
@@returnoutdoors2210 all good mate, glad i come across your channel, im a townsville local myself 👌
Bull shark I'm guessing. Great vid once more. Thank you.
I agree a shark of some description would be accurate. Glad you enjoyed the video. Take care!
