    Hi Brad, Thanks for the video and your excellent commentary.
    We used to chase the redclaw on Lake Proserpine a number of years back, and the best results were at night time.
    Checking the pots every 2 hours from dusk until 2am in the morning before climbing into the swag.
    Nothing like a change from the salt water to the fresh water.!!!
    Cheers Kevin...!!😊

    Great vid. If you didn’t , would highly recommend you to leave it overnight.
    Looks like dog pellets, perfect bait as I use the same but overnight soak will have great results.
    Cheers again

    Been having more success with raw pumpkin than dog nuts in the dams around this way Brad. Guessing sweet potatoes or carrots might give similar results 👍 Edit: got another pizza recipe for you Brad. Tried it last night with some we caught a few weeks ago. A light smear of dijon mustard on the base, boiled redclaw tails, some sliced black olives and sun-dried tomatoes. Put the cheese on and cook. Keeping it all to a minimum so as not to detract from redclaw. We were surprised how good the dijon matches with the redclaw 😊

      I will definitely be stealing this pizza recipe as well!👍 If it comes close to being as good as your crab pizza it will be all smiles from my family.😊 The crab pizza has become a regular item on our menu. Thanks for taking the time to share, it is greatly appreciated! Cheers, Brad.

    Brought back memories of when we all went to Burdekin Falls Dam some years back. Can't beat quality time away together. Wonder why the red claw numbers are down. What was the pastes you cooked them in? Another great video mate. 😊

    Hey Brad , as usual great adventure ! I live in W.A and no rain 🌧️ drought conditions! that Dam was overflowing 👍 loved seeing that . The Red Claw are an introduced species ? Thankyou keep safe cheers Geoff 😀👍

    • @returnoutdoors2210
      @returnoutdoors2210  Месяц назад +1

      I believe they are native in parts of Northern Australia but have thrived when introduced into water courses much further south of their natural range. Thanks for your support! Cheers, Brad.👍

    Great feed of red claw there Brad. Nice one. Did you do any filming when you were on Maggie island?

    • @returnoutdoors2210
      @returnoutdoors2210  Месяц назад +2

      No filming on the island this time, just lots of hikes and swimming. It has been continuously windy up here this year, making it very hard to get out in the boat. Thanks for your support. Cheers, Brad.👍
