My issue is on a York HE furnace where the condensate chamber gets water in it, making the furnace blow cold air. I’ve pulled the tiny hose on the right side bottom of the chamber off and the water drains out. I mop it up with paper towels but sometimes I use a lot of towels. That hose goes ‘up’ to the gas vent pipe. A larger rubber hose, clearly designed as the drain hose has NO water in it. I’m wondering if there is a blockage in the actual condensate chamber?
This is a great video thank you very much I do have a question though. I have a Toshiba 8000 BTU window unit and it does leak water out of the back like it's supposed to occasionally on the bottom right hand side in the back there's a hole or water will fall out. My concern and question is the waterfalls out sometimes through one of the screws underneath the air condition outside as well and I'm wondering how I can slow the water filling up? Also the water that leaks out leaks down under my air conditioning unit onto the windowsill and drips onto the walkway of the upstairs of my apartment complex. I'm trying to remedy this to soak up the water somehow or get it to fall into a bucket but I'm not having much success do you have any suggestions other than a water wick or a bucket for it to pour into? Also can I put a clear hose in the circle that's the drain on the back right hand side bottom a clear hose and put it straight into a bucket will that work for hurt the unit? I have no problems with the unit other than that, it's excellent.
If the condensate drain line is clear but water is leaking from a rusted out drain pan combined with poor design of the drain line (start point too high up), should replacing the drain pan and lowering the pvc drain line be an easy fix? Can a generic fit pan (if they exist) be caulked or sealed around to adapt for accurate fit? My system (Heil) works fine, just leaks. In the sweltering heat of so Cal, it's cRaZy here. Thanks.
Hi great question! We answered in this week's video: ruclips.net/video/X5sqsthoGKs/видео.html. Your question is at around the 5:06 mark. I hope that helps, thanks again!
Hi Cathy! You can either have your local HVAC company install one or you can find it on Amazon. I link to it in the description labeled "pan treatment." We spoke more about your question in this week's video: ruclips.net/video/lf493xayKwM/видео.html We answer your question around the 1:40 mark. Hope that helps!
