Years ago I suggested this show to several reactors with no luck. It's great to see you take it on and, yes, all the episodes have these twists, tricky turns and humour.

I was thinking about suggesting it to some people too… glad that searching again finally found one :D
Guess I'm out of luck when it comes to finding someone reacting to Dark Season, though :p
Watching this again… it always amazes me just how many clues there are that I didn't catch the first time.

Wow… this video is a month old, and I don't see any more…
But on Patreon he's up to s3!
I was only expecting another episode or two at most… I feel like I have to subscribe now.

My favorite TV show of all time! It's the chemistry between Jonathan and Maddie that really makes it. Some of the solutions to the crimes are so devious. Hope you continue watching!

One of the greatest TV shows for me. Absolutely in my top 10. The characters are portrayed perfectly imo. Also written by the superb David Renwick from One Foot In The Grave fame too. Another favourite. So cleverly written this show.

Great reaction to a great show. These are around 30 yrs old now and a really great watch , classic British drama with a sprinkling of our humour thrown in ! Great characters with really clever writing by the genius David Renwick , did you know he also wrote one foot in the grave ? You are so right about the endings , you might be able to guess a killer but it's impossible to guess how it was all done until Jonathan Creek explains it at the end. I'm all in to watch all over again with your channel !

Jonathan Creek never thought i'd ever see a reaction to it it's such a remarkable show.
The character Hedley Shale that got murdered the older gentleman was actor Colin Baker who is best known as the sixth incarnation of the Doctor in the TV series "Doctor Who" from 1984 to 1986.

Writer is David Renwick who wrote One Foot in the Grave and you can see the continuity in some aspects of the writing as well as interest in magic. The writing is brilliant all the way through. Some of the episodes are absolutely epic and all are good (in my view). Some great side characters as well.

Yes, if anything it gets much harder. Even if you know WHO, you'll almost never guess HOW!
Good luck. So many names you'll recognise in this show doing cameos. I can't wait for you to see Rik Mayal as the Police Detective. Good Lord that was a glorious episode.

In the Buffy episode ‘Hush’ he played Danse Macabre (by Camille Saint-Saëns) to a slide show. That’s the theme music to Johnathan Creek.

Tony Head was only in the pilot for Johnathan Creek, he did the Buffy Pilot around the same time, so when Buffy got picked up he wasn't available for JC. The role was recast with an actual American actor when JC was picked up.

One of those sleeper comedy drama series that was around for years didn't watch at the time because I didn't like the lead actor but was almost nearly not far off classic TV top 20 list. Caroline Quentin is fascinating in the first 3 seasons she has an unusual charisma. Once you get past the nerdyness of JC the spin of a magician who solves crimes and is actually charismatic in his own way means we get a character driven drama that just gets more and more immersive addictive against my original bias. The 2nd half of JC seasons after Quentin left we get the very yummy Blonde forget her name who's interaction with JC is more character driven immersive. Some of the mystery plots are pretty good but I thing it takes 2nd place mostly to the leads personal drama. Great nostalgia for this show. But feels like almost from some ones else's life now. You made a very interesting choice.

Hopefully you're not watching this on Netflix, as the streaming sites use cut down versions that remove about 15 minutes worth of material.
