- Why did Sully kill Jamie, a death that was unexpected as we moved into the last parts of Season 4 due to Jamie holding his end up of the deal in killing his boy Kit. But I run through 3 reasons as to why Sully HAD to kill Jamie starting with how Jamie killed Kit, Sully's perception changing over the course of the season and Jamie's ambition also being his downfall.

Jamie proved sully that he is ready to kill even his best friend for life, for becoming boss in the future, Dushane thought about it as a loyalty which is foolish but Sully understand that if he killed his best friend with out hesitation, then Jamie would not hesitate if he gets the option to kill Dushane and Sully, if you go back to the scene where Dushane ordered Jamie to kill Kit, Sullys face was very shocked

I think Sully killed Jamie because he could see Jamie quickly became a yes man for Dushane. I don’t think Sully feared that one day Jamie would attempt to take over and kill both him and Dushane, I think Sully knew that should the rift between him and Dushane become any greater, Dushane would task Jamie with killing Sully. Sully simply beat Dushane to the punch.
I feel like they killed Jamie way too soon but Damnn that’s the game in real life and to writers what a freaking twist !! Jamie was killed because he was a rat.
1. Sully and Dushane see things differently. Dushane thinks by killing Kit that Jamie is Loyal. Sully see’s it that if you can kill your best friend, a someone you have been with since day 1 then your not loyal. Sully actually says this to Dushane when Dushane say’s he’s loyal he killed Kit….. Sully says yeah he did that for you!.
2. Jamie tried to screw them over Morocco. Sully knows that Jamie can’t be trusted.
3. As much as Jamie did what he did for his brothers, Sully doesn’t know that!. We as the audience see a softer side to Jamie. We know the backstory of his parents and how he’s trying to raise his brothers the best he can. But the streets don’t know that. Sully doesn’t know that.
4. Sully doesn’t want to be Top Boy so it’s not over jealousy. In many ways Sully is already Top Boy. The youngens all look upto him, and he answers to absolutely no-one. Dushane might very well be Top Boy in terms of business, But Sully is Top Boy on the streets.
5. The whole Dris thing is different. He betrayed Sully. Kit didn’t do anything to Jamie. He actually looked after his Brothers when he was away and was always their for him.

Kit betrayed Jamie by knowing what happened to Ats and not telling him he played a dangerous game and he fucked up Jamie wanted to flee with Kit but knew he and his brothers would never be in peace if they would just run away Jamie didnt kill Ats and knew nothing about it he did what he had to do just like Sully with Dris Sully and Jamie are not so different
Sully ist just insecure because he knows Jamie is dangerous but i think Jamie would have just played his role alongside Dushane because his brothers showed him staying alive with his family is more worth then risking it all just to be the Top Boy
It’s different on so many levels. Dris went behind their back to another gang that was trying to kill them. Kit was just protecting Jamie’s family and didn’t even know they was going to kill Ats. Plus Jamie could of ran off and that would of been that!. They would not of went after him, and even if they did them they wouldn’t have touched his brothers. In season 3 they could of got Aaron till Jack told Dushane that he’s not about that life and Dushane left him.

#1- Top Boy is top tier street drama. I appreciate that the violence is placed, and not simply for the sake of shock value. However, it shocking nevertheless. That being said, I was shattered that Jamie was viciously shot in front of his brothers for so many reasons, but especially considering they were all each other had. No one should witness their loved one being gunned down. 😔 But street life never ends well, and often the innocent suffer, like the girl who Jamie tried to date that ended up shot & brain damaged. There are always...consequences.
This street stuff has no moral compass.

last season Jamie outsmarted dushae to the point where he had to rat just to keep himself from getting killed. Even in this season you could tell the plug in Morocco liked Jamie more and knew he was the one who should be the boss. It’s so dumb to me that every time dushae and sully got checkmated they miraculously came out on top .
honestly if they’re going to kill off a character like Jamie, i think it’s time dushane and kano faced serious repercussions now too. one of them needs to go next season or it’ll just keep getting repetitive and unrealistic

Sully is a emotional hot head just like Jennard on Force. That was not a calculated kill by Sully. It was revenge. Had Dushane wanted him dead, he could've gotten Jamie killed a long time ago or let him rot in prison. Sully is not strategic like Deshane. Deshane likes and respects Jamie because he and Jamie are one in the same. He knew Jamie still wanted to be top boy and would jump at the chance to get it at any point. It didn't bother him because he himself would do the same in Jamie's position. Everyone was making more money than they ever had and their no more killings on the streets. This killing of Jamie is going to change everything for season 5.

Dushane was the one who reclaimed top boy status. Sully wasn't even down for the plan. Now Deshane creates an exit plan where he leaves it all to Jamie because he feels Jamie deserves top boy and not his brother Sully. Who giving all the respect to their enemy 🤷🏾♂️😅

@Yung Atz Official Sully just wanted to kill Jamie for the old beef that EVERYONE else moved on from (except for Kit). It ain't no deeper than that. Jamie had to kill Kit for Kit's actions just like Sully had to kill Dris for Dris' actions. Dris already sold them out to Jermaine and then he reached out to Jamie after Modie died and Jermaine left. Nobody made him. Also there was no saving Kit. It was kill him or take your 2 brothers outta school to go on the run with Kit. Kit and Jamie took the L so the brothers didn't have to. Sully came and effed that up anyway. Even in war, there are rules of engagement. Sully just killed an ally without the general's consent. They're all criminals but sully would legit be a war criminal. If you look at everything that's happened from the start off the show it's Sully who ain't loyal. Jamie was my favorite character too, definitely ain't wanna see him go out like that. I still got Dushane and Jaq at least tho.

After seeing what the road brought Jamie. I think they both got a great reason not to follow that path.

I love how the writers shattered the illusion that people like Jamie always live happily ever after. It brought us to the reality that people who choose the path he did and regardless of the circumstance that led to it, there is only two endings. Death or Prison. The only people that ever get to experience what's in between are those who make their money, get out and stay away from the violence and politics that come with that life. His life ended by the same gun under which he lived.

Sully was never feeling Jamie from jump and gave Jamie ONE chance to live when he confronted him in Spain. Once Juan blew up Jamie’s spot in Spain in front of Sully, he was done. It was just a matter of time after that.
Even though Sully may have killed Jamie to protect Dushane, and himself, from Jamie possibly turning on them in the future, I believe this is going to cause a rift between Sully and Dushane.
Technically, Sully violated Summerhouse even though his intentions were not to do so. Dushane saw Jamie as being loyal, and Jamie was pretty much a part of Summerhouse after proving his “loyalty” for killing his right hand man, Kit. Plus, Sully went his separate way once he found out that Dushane saw Jamie as his successor.
Yeah and we saw his loyalty to summerhouse leading with Jaq when they were doing the B roll shots at the end before the twist

I think there was a small unheard dialog between Sully and Dushane when sully went to visit him sully prob told him what he was going to do. Also Sully is basically in command if Dushane dies so no one would lay a finger if the underboss killed a roadman. Sully like a made man already nothing will happen to him but killing Jamie might get the ZTs to split off

I think they killed Jaime as a way to set up the final season Top Boy (the final showdown between Dushane & Sully).
The reason they’re doing this is cos Netflix don’t really care about this show since they don’t promote it as much compared to their other shows like Ozark, Squid Games & etc…
P.S. Nowadays shows end at like season 3,4 or 5 so I wouldn’t be surprised if they renew it for a final season!!!!

Drake is an executive producer for both Top Boy and Euphoria but def has more control over the former so if the show is going to come to an end, its his decision too. Thats why i think it'll get renewed for a next season no matter what. I feel like they should end it next season as i initially thought Dushane and Sully woulda been written out and handing over the leader role to Jamie and Jaq but of course that ending twist says otherwise. Ending it after 5 seasons (2 seasons back in 2011-2013 titled Summerhouse and the 3 seasons we all know from Netflix), is honestly the perfect length because i dont even know what would happen after the next season and i dont want this show to be milked out like Riverdale or anything
We already saw stet show raw emotion when he backed the gun on the guys tryna cop it… his emotion after losing is parents and now brother will be raw and revenge will be in sight going to be a crazy conclusion

Nah! It was Modi and Jermaine. They put Leyton up to it not Jaime. Sully disfigured Modi in Jail and kidnapped and tortured Jermaine. Both naturally wanted payback. Last thing Jaime wanted was a war because it drew too much attention, something his supplier frequently reminded him of. The ZTs were already dominating the streets. It was Dushane that needed them off the road because he had the added pressure because Sugar was threatening his family in Jamaica and had high demands. Jaime was so pissed at Leyton for going after Sully that he had Leyton knee capped which led to Leyton’s death because the person he got to knee cap him panicked and fucked it up.

How this plays out:
The brothers saw his face and will most likely want revenge for Jamie. Jamie was a threat but he was loyal, he killed his own best friend for Dushane. Dushane was right about that retirement plan, he was thinking ahead and not only that most importantly the bigger picture. I do believe it will cause an even more separation between Sully and Dushane because he went behind his back and murdered jamie in cold blood.

My only problem with this ending was not Jamie dying, but Sully doing it unmasked in front of his brothers. It just doesnt make much sense to me. Sully knows enough about family and compassion that he wouldnt do this sadistically in front of them. What purpose does it even serve, except scarring them for life? Not to mention that hes risking Jail time or getting killed by them for no reason at all.
What conscience does he have (except the love for his daughter), he’s a mass murderer. Anyone who’s capable of that and has committed it cannot be mentally stable

Sully did the right thing.

In one of the summerhouse series, Dushane was given the same ultimatum about killing his best friend by Bobby Raikes. Dushane obviously didn’t do it and killed Raikes instead. Maybe seeing how ruthless Jamie was to follow though even when Dushane couldn’t proved to Sully that he had to go 🤔

Season 3 will be interesting , I wonder how Dushane will react , but I do know for sure stef is moving to the streets and is gonna become the next top boy for sure. He resembles alot Jamie rather than Aaron , I see Aaron moving away with his Girlfriend and Stef staying back to get revenge on the whole of summerhouse for doing Jamie wrong. 100% we are going to see stef and the audience learn more about how Jamie got into this type of life.

He ain't have to do that shit at all. He just wanted to. Sully been making messes since season 1. It's why Raikes wanted Dushane to get rid of him/give him up. Top Boy recognise Top Boy. Raike's saw it in Dushane, not Sully. Dushane saw it in Jamie, not Sully. Sully is a top tier streets soldier but he's not a general and Dushane knows this which is why he makes the decisions. Sully could never accept Dushane is the brains and would have died at least 3 or 4 times if not for Dushane.

dris was one of the main characters In the show and he was brought into season 3 before he turned . one of his main scenes was that meat cleaver move but if him switching sides makes him a snitch what does it make Jamie? he was planning on moving on dushane who got him out of jail who as of which used a kid to snitch and frame someone so you want to pick apart the show everyone's a snitch except sully who is another one of dushanes bit chs but in my eyes sully is the star of the show only one with emotional attachment and isn't in robot mode like the rest of the crew. Anyway I'm assuming you lot are under 18 and was barely out of nappies when season 1 the real season one was produced in 2011 to understand the concept of this show that was 10 times better before drake put his spin on it

If you look at it season 4 had a theme of family.. after Shelley talked to Dushane in the last episode, it looked like he came to the realization Jamie had to go to keeo his family in tact

I just recently watched this. Sully had a number of reasons to kill Jamie. But as far as the actual show, Jamie's story was pretty much over, it didn't really make sense to keep his character around anymore. His story was really over when he lost the war with Dushane, but they kept him around a little longer to keep us guessing, and to give more closure to his and his brother's stories. They were not going to dedicate another season to Jamie having a war with Dushane all over again. He was never going to be close with Dushane and Sully, and it wouldn't make much sense to have one of the main characters just become one of the background goons. There just wasn't much left to do with the character
Sully wants a street death. He Solidified this, at the end of the season. Setting things up for his daughter, along with killing Jamie. It's sealed and done. IMO.

Didn’t think this season was nearly as good as the first. There were away too many storylines they were trying to follow and I felt nothing much happened throughout the nine hours up until the last episode or two

and i feel like Jamie’s character since he got locked up was to take care of his blood brothers. If Jamie was busy n he got a call from his bros he’d be gone inna second, to the point where his brothers made the decision for him, he didn’t have to kill kit, especially if they had a way out, when dushane put the hit on kit specifically done by jamie it wouldn’t be a problem if both left including Jamie’s bros, but he knew they wouldn’t leave so he did what’s best for him and his brothers. Sully is too old and puts loyalty over anything, but on the roads id rather be selfish for me and my brothers than to be loyal, especially if i was tasked to take care of them
sully puts loyalty to family over everything thats why he didn't go off like that on jaq he understood. he viewed jamie killing kit for "dushane" as dis loyal to who is supposed to matter and a sign of further betrayal in the future ..dris had to die because he essiently didnt want to be on the losing team which is cowardice and disloyal and it still killed sully to kill his brother. sully had no clue jamie was being loyal to his blood brothers by killing kit , i dont think that would of changed sully's mind to much but probably would of made the decision harder

I heard your review and I believe Dushane called the hit. Everyone forgot that he got the call from Spain and was planning to kill the wife of the real estate guy as well. On the balcony was when the decision was made to kill Jamie. Dushane asked Sully what now and Sully said it's best to move separate because of the different styles of running an organization. What was clear was that when they were at the flat where Curtis laid dead he gave Sully orders to oversee disposal and cleaning of the flat Sully replied you got it boss. That was Sully acknowledging and letting Dushane know that he has the lead and will respect his decisions from there on out until all threats were gone. Sully knows Dushane is having health issues so I forsee Sully staying at his side. As far as Stefan goes I see him attempting to become top boy but no time soon. I think Stefan will need to follow first in order to lead and get an idea on how the game he was shielded from is played so I detect a new player. Remember Stefan is still a scared kid. In my opinion I believe that player will be his brother Aaron. Aaron lost everything and we watched Aaron start to come in his own during the season as a caretaker and provider for Stefan. Everyone focused on Stefan because of his anger and demeanor during the season but it's Aaron who will now have to step up and leave his dreams and goals behind to take care of Stefan and maintain everything with Kit and Jamie gone that can't happen from school. With Aaron being educated I see Aaron stepping in and being a formidable foe for Dushane in the game of chess. That's just my thoughts
i agreed with everything up until you said formidable foe for dushane , book smart and street smart have nothing to do with each other so i do see aaron taking some time to build up his own crew or maybe the zts but it will be stefan to bring that family back into top boy convo. and the show will end before we get to see it

The moment he killed kit it was over for me. Everything that man did was to hold down Jamie. My brother's would have had to go somewhere else. If he knew anything about the game (UK game) he knew they wouldn't have touch the brothers. Go on the run with your man's then try to come back when it's calm down.

I hate the scene in the bathroom where Jamie is washing away his sins and clipping his nails till they're bloody. I thought he had a chance but apparently not. That season pass got REVOKED! I can't stand Sully now for what he did no matter the reason. It'll be interesting to see how things go from here.
