- In Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4, there's not been much that has fallen Tariq's way. He's managed to catch a few wins in regards to a few small battles, however for the large portion of Ghost Season 4, he's been on the back foot and going into Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4 Part 2, we're going to see Tariq exposed more than ever in regards to a few storylines. So, in this breakdown, I run through how Tariq is exposed and some of the threats he faces, and what he needs to overcome in Part 2 of Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4.

Tariq is following Kanan's example with Ghost by indirectly sabotaging Anya and Noma's relationship. He is manipulating Anya to turn against her mother, just as Kanan manipulated Tariq to turn against Ghost

That’s how you know Ghost not coming back. The writers keep throwing shots at him like he not shit yet but on the other keeps his name relevant to keep the fans locked in

They simply have the character speaking from his perspective. That’s how he felt about his father before his death. He then killed him. What do y’all expect lol? It’s the character’s point of view.
Ghost was the definition of multifaceted controlling everything but failed to deal with grief e.g Traiq's twin and Angie. Traiq is not able to deal with his shortcomings and failures constantly returning to being blindsided which slowly ruins the overall growth each time.
Tariq been moving like kanan. We need him to move like ghost.
Keep in mind tho Tariq is a teenager ghost had decades in the game at that point Ghost was able to develop cuz kanan and breeze were running shit in the beginning Tariq needs to link up with Tommy and learn the game better

Tariq has a point , ghosts family was safer when he was all in they were insulated and feds didn’t know him or tommy.Once Angela came in the picture he started wanting something else and became complacent and emotional as well as arrogant which is where he lost.He underestimated his enemies like kanan and milan

The writers should’ve made Book 2 more grimy and street. Tariq is like 20 years old and has zero street cred; instead, he has law enforcement chasing him every season and outsmarting international drug bosses that have been in the game before him. Instead of dealers on his level, he keeps getting played by the tejadas. He always wants to say fuck them but ends up working with them again. He lets Cane do whatever he wants; he still ain’t murking. Effie, the writers have him kill side characters that don’t matter more than the actual main characters in the show.
I must agree with you regarding how a 20 year old is the smartest person in the room, outwitting 50 year olds that have been doing this their entire lives. Remember when him and Brayden killed a group of highly trained killers? That and how all these adults that’s been doing this forever all are either outsmarted by, get in business with, or take their cues/guidance from a 20 year old.

That's the point bro... we're seeing Tariq in his early years of the game.. growing, making hella mistakes and learning from them.. trusting the wrong people.. and every betrayal and level up is shaping him into becoming his father.. it's literally the point of the series.. Tariq chose to step into the game, we haven't seen a scenario like his in movies or TV so we're watching this all unfold for a kid who chose the streets but wasn't raised in them.. everyone needs to overt expectations, everything that's happened is because this is Tariqs story coming up in the game.. it was never gonna mirror or be like anyone else's story.. Tariqs life circumstances are very different and unique from what we have seen and the writers are doing a helluva job staying true to that, especially writing all the times Tariq gets fucked over, all the bad decisions etc. He's growing up he's 20 years old. He's not an ordinary character

It lost its interest once everything ended with Zeke, Mecca, etc. once that concluded and I suppose Lorenzo dying, it feel right back into uninteresting redundancy. At this point, the only things making sense are Mary j losing the whole family (killed)and she has to live life with no family and no street connections. Tariq needs to screw things up so bad similarly that he loses everything family wise (death), goes to jail and gets killed in prison. If it’s good writing they would find a way to make Brayden kill him. Effie should be able to go on successfully out the game.

Facts
Tariq is actually a product of nepotism. He lacks the physical intimidation that Tommy, Ghost & Kanan Had. They all could handle themselves against anyone who challenged them whether it was hands, knives or guns. Cane is of that same mold which makes his character believable. Tariq doesn’t realize that the reason he’s even sniffing this type of power, no pun intended, is because of his father. If Tariq had to build from the ground up like ghost he would’ve never made it this far. The fact that ghost name alone has afforded him opportunities that normal people wouldn’t be given should have been enough for him to realize that his father put in a lot of work to gain the rep that he still has beyond the grave. He literally messed up his entire family and tried to scapegoat his father. Yeah ghost wasn’t perfect but his character was way more well put together causing us as an audience to actually believe in him more so than Tariq.
Salim's death will come back to haunt him for sure. I wonder if they had cameras on the property or in the house? Elle has got to go, she knows everything.

To add on. Tasha only thought of him as being the “Biggest Drug Dealer “ in NYC. She didn’t have any other higher expectations. Tasha always called him Ghost.
This made it easy for Angela to step in. She saw Jamie, not Ghost.

I think Effie dies and that’s the funeral they are at. Diana ends up in a coma but she lost the baby. The actress that plays Effie said she didn’t like her outcome at the end and the actress that plays Diana said her ending is not completely ending but if they wanted to end her or bring her back they can choose. So what would be better than have her in a coma because she either wakes up or dies.
I also wouldn’t believe a word a single actor says in this show. They all know 50 marketing techniques and all lie in interviews

I look at it from a different perspective too because I feel like it was suspicious. Maybe she would play a ghost of herself after death. Effie is also not really a fan favorite and just is there for now so hopefully her character reveals more about herself or her character if only benefiting Tariq. I do think Effie is his Tasha and if this is like father like son well hopefully they go that route. With Diana being pregnant it can set Effie off and that could be the reason Diana ends up in a coma or maybe she doesn’t care but look what she did to Lauren. She has a small obsession with Tariq because she does believe in him and he was a person who really showed her the love and attention she wanted. Or maybe there’s another way they are connected but he doesn’t know only she does. It’s a lot of unfolded theories that would be great to see.

I don't like the fact that everybody wants to take out Tasha. She needs to be the constant driver for him to be like his father. Killing her is a mistake, that's poor writing to me. Her relationship and ties to both Ghost and Tommy need to remain. There is a lot to that relationship and can be a force to drive future spin-offs.

The only way Tariq is gonna reach his potential is if someone gives him a real lesson about who ghost really was. He only know a little bit and he got that info from his bitter ass mom and kanan. Tommy needs to come fill in the gaps so we dont have to continue down this road. Ghost was in the game 20 plus years. Tariq wont make it that long without somebody truly giving him the game first
Tommy has appeared in the second half of the series for a few seasons now. It could possibly happen again this season, especially if someone dares to go after Tasha!

For Tariq to be on top of the game, Noma and Zion have to be off the chessboard. I think the Tejada family has proven to be a worthy rivalry family to Tariq and they also need to be wiped off the board whether they all die or go to jail with the exception of Diana who is carrying Tariq’s baby (maybe, bro gotta get a DNA test). Elle gotta go and I think she might by the hands of Brayden. I think she’s gonna do something else that will be a no brainer for her to get rid of her. Regarding Salim’s death, they might look into Diana. I’m sure she was the last call on Salim phone and they will look further into that seeing that Diana is the daughter of Monet so they’ll know something is there which can potentially lead to Tariq hence why Carter’s task force rushed into Monet’s home. I think Tasha, Tommy & 2bit will make an appearance too.
There’s definitely going to be a spin off with them being in New York City. Detective Carters task force is too big to all be taken out with only 5 episodes left. There are too many storylines left for it to end.
Also, Salim is definitely dead. They showed a glimpse of Diana in his kitchen looking down then heading out with a pissed off look.
