Hey man sweet build! I do have a red 2JZ FRS also. How’s your temps with AC on? I tend to run hot on oil and coolant. 20w-50 oil and red Toyota coolant. I’ve just been using no AC and everything stays fine
I didn't know about cdoo9 at first. After making good power I jest wanted to have a transmission that can handle the power and not have problems. And t56 was way to go. I thought jest do it right. You know..
1jz is pretty affordable. Then 2jz. So if you want jest basic swap. It will cost you around $6k. But if you want something like what I have right know.. it will cost you around 20k+ and that's if you do the welding and stuff your self...
@@truebeast3157 thanks man ! I seen that a 2J was 20k+ but the 1j is by far more affordable I just wasn’t sure what the fab work would amount too lol. Great build btw !
I've been looking into a lot of swaps as well for when the inevitable end comes for the fa20 in mine. This build makes me want a inline 6 . I was considering a k20/k24 swap which is very straightforward and has nearly everything pre fab you can purchase now. Even wiring is sorted . 300hp high reving 4cyl keeps with the original intention of the car. But this, this is just insane.
When are you going to Dyno the car? With the small 62mm turbo those usually max out at 600rwhp. At 22psi it sounds like you’re about 450rwhp. It would be nice to see a graph in case someone would like to duplicate your build. Nice car and great build!
Hey man l love your build l have started mines a while now l doing stage by stage my self and it’s fun l did the 8.8 with 1000hp axles and hubs big brake in the front radiator and fan and suspension all round coil over next step now is to get the engine but l am very interested in how you got your heater to function all the clips l watch l see everyone cut the 2 heater lines out and don’t use it if your is fully working can you tell me what you did or how you got yours to work l will appreciate any help you offer l am going with the t56 from Grannas racing because l love the heater when the morning is all colder and it helps clear the windshield in the cold morning time if you can send me a pic of the lines how you got it working and and the motor mounts l will be using is from XCESSIVE and additional advice will be gladly appreciate looking forward to your response
@@ashmeedmohammed4549 congratulations on your build I love anything white 2j in it.. so about the heater core my friend I can’t teak a picture yet because I’m not in town I’ll be out of town till summer, but I can tell you about what I have used on the stuck frs heater core you have to cut them off right at the rib or Push them in about 1 inch same thing whit cutting the 1 inch write the rib for the hose clamp go, that will give you enough room for the engine to fit and for the new lines, once you have installed the engine one of the lines coming out of the heater core will directly be under 2jz coolant outlet off head on that one I have found that house from vw vr6 oil cooler line one is like a S shaped that’s one I have used on that side for the out let you can use any house or shape you will have much more room.. engine mounts are custom made by me. @ thanks man and as how you lowered the engine to use the coil pack did you still have to cut the tranny tunnel to fit the tranny in or you did not have to do any cutting the the tunnel l know you have to remove the rips on the tunnel for the tranny to fit but as how you modify your CX racing motor mounts and drop the engine the ribs l am talking about is way you bolt the OEM tranny cross member to and again thanks for your response and do have a good morning to you and the family
Beautiful car and epic scenery

I want to 1jz swap my BRZ but I can’t find any forums on what the ballpark $$$ is
For a 2j just for a stock 2j ur looking at 40k plus so that’s a rough estimate
Similar prices for a 1j u might save like 3-5k max

I use 10w-30 on oil. And using engine ice coolent. And some 12in spal fans. And I have no issues. And anything under 80f the fans dont even turn on..
Good build
Nice video bro. I have been in that car and it's a ride for sure haha! Keep them coming homie!
i have 2 more videos coming soon
Great project. Looks and sounds great. Why you picked this gearbox and not a 6 speed nissan 350Z gearbox?

Will the motec traction control system help me power in the corners with a 2jz swap?
@@daveleuterio sure it will you can adjust how much you want the stability control holds the car
how long did it take to build this car?
It only took like 3 months to put the motor in the car and about 2 years to get it where I want it.

@ you do have to remove the ribs to get right angle on the driveshaft so you have no vibrations. No you don’t have to cut the tunnel it fits jest fine
@ coil pack fits fine if you have the carbon hood but if you have the open one in front coil pack you have to remove the spacer to close the hood

Love the build, if I ever blow my engine I am highly considering 2jz but what’s your wheel setup?
Thank you..👍 my wheels are 18 by 9.5 tire size 255 35 in the front. And 18 by 10.25 tire size 275. R888R custom made for me by avid. Wheels.
Build cost and difficulty of installing video please
Its hard to say how much it will cost right now. Because everything is gating expansive but roughly it will be 20k 30k.
Do you have a rear sump or front sump?
It’s a front sump

Nice ride! Just get rid of those stickers and get a new license plate frame.... that'll clean up the rear end a lot. :)
