The secret identity thing is more like "not going out with your hero suit on so people don't recognize you instantly". You can still see it's Annie, and her friends probably recognize her, but when you see Annie down the street with regular hair and outfit you're not like "oh it's starlight", because you're so used to the suits.
Yeah in the next episode Hughie recognises her straight away when he sees her in the suit. People just dont tend to look twice at other people so without the costume she's just another person

Karl Urban as Butcher is just phenomenal. An incredibly likeable performance for an immensely horrible character; a bigoted, narrow minded, vengeance driven man child who also happens to be one of the best characters in modern TV.
Antony Starr IMO gives at least a nomination's level performance as Homelander. The guy perfectly plays the character. Always looking fierce and like he is just on the edge, right on the line of snapping and fucking everyone up.
You're not wrong, I would always tense up with every scene he was in after about episode 2. Every damn scene he was in interacting with someone, I kept preparing myself and thinking, "This person is dead, this person is dead, this person is dead"

This show does a great job humanizing characters ( even if they aren’t likable ) but Frenchie is definitely one of the most likable ones as the season progresses . Hughie shows at the end that he does have “the fight “ in him to do this by killing Translucent. Also , Anthony Starr as Homelander is probably the MVP of this show!!.
I'd say as far as the Boys are concerned, they're all likeable. Some of the Supes you just grow to dislike more and more where others have some development both good and bad. And idk what dude is talking about, I see no spoilers.

I'm a new viewer of "The Boys". As of this post I've watched 5 episodes of season 1. Pros - Great characters and performances. Cons - A bit slow and feels disconnected sometimes.
They don't have a secret identity. The series portrait the heroes as public figures, like actors or athletes. Also, nobody would mess with a "sup", and if they do there is the company to protect them.

If Translucent's skin is indestructible, shouldn't there have only been some blood gush out from his ass and head? Since the skin isn't destroyed, it means the insides would get fucked up but the skin wouldn't burst.

If Translucent's skin is indestructible, shouldn't there have only been some blood gush out from his ass and head? Since the skin isn't destroyed, it means the insides would get fucked up but the skin wouldn't burst.
How did translucent think that he could walk probably miles back to base without triggering the bomb in his butt? I know those things are very delicate and if reaching up there to pull it out with trigger the bomb then so would you know moving around a lot
