Thats how it was for me. I watched it purely because of Karl Urban and because I watched everything on Netflix already and didnt want to start The Office over again. 3 Days later...best show of the year.

Joe G Doesn’t matter, Homelander instead of bringing them into custody, straight out murders them. That just makes him just as bad and evil as them! Now think about that, and even the show is portraying a dark side of superheroes if they don’t care about anyone but themselves and have almost no emotions

Caped Baldy bright Burn had such potential. I was hoping to see something where hormones of puberty plus super powers corrupted an otherwise decent boy, but it seemed like a switch was just flipped in his head by the ship to initiate his mission to destroy humanity instead.

I really love Hughie! Did you guys know he is the son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan?!?! he's got a bright future in acting for sure! Really enjoy watching his character!

I’m 6 episodes into this and it’s pretty damn good . The writing is good but the cast elevates it , especially Karl Urban and Anthony Starr (Homelander). It’s got some nice satire and dark humor aswell but I love how they humanize almost every character , even assholes like The Deep and A Train.

These guys jobs are literally overanalyzes like they analyze and think of every little detail and possible outcome. When a show like the boys is more so plain and simple. What happened on the screen is well what happened to them. Starlight really is the only good super that is actually wanting to help people. The Deep really did sexually assault her. Homelander really did just murder a kid. I just think it's fun and cool to watch these guys
I just started this show and it's sooo good, so I'm really excited you guys are watching and reacting! I think it's interesting that you said you wanted to know Butcher's backstory. It makes me think that in this superhero show we're more interested in knowing the backstories of the Boys than of the superheroes, which is another part of what makes this universe so interesting.

If it isn't a dream sequence it means a huge departure from the comics I read the comics long ago but from what I recall that ending means comic book fans are just as clueless as people who just discovered the show. I haven't noticed this the first time I watched, but translucent *STOPS* a home invasion! This is hilarious! You can catch the burglar or handle a hostage situation, but there is only one way you may stop a home invasion! Hahaha

I love these men!!! They get me through the slow parts of my week. If they continue to watch DC Universe on Thursday’s(Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing, Titans 2) and now add The Boys on Fridays, I will be set for Blind Wave reactions on Monday’s(Breaking Bad), Thursday’s, AND Friday’s for the next 2 months atleast!!! This is fucking awesome!!! I hope they watch Watchmen on HBO and The Witcher on Netflix.
It was so weird watching a show that utilized the entire hour. Usually, shows are 40 minutes with 20 minutes for commercials. Can't wait for season two!
As one who hasn't read the comics but enjoyed the series, I'm curious to know how you enjoyed it. I understand they changed a few things and really made it their own show, which I assumed to be a good thing.
@@AngryPieMan In my opinion, the show's better. The comic's not bad but it's excessively dark, convoluted, and gruesome at times. I know it's meant to be that type of comic but it's a bit too much. In the show, they've really also streamlined the plot well without losing the darker elements and balanced character "screentime" and powers better than the comic.
@@AngryPieMan I agree, I think the show is an improvement on the comic, the comic felt overly gratuitous, the show manages to have plenty of graphic and explicit content without being ridiculously over the top in a bad way. I also think the characters overall are handled and developed better in the show.
One of the best surprises of these past years. Maybe the most realistic superhero show, as in : the most connected to all the problems in our modern day society. And to me, probably the best superhero show ever done, to this day.
Great reaction! I just started watching this, I have only seen the first two episodes, so good!! It reminds me of an analogy for Hollywood with all the brand deals and the superheroes being like icons.

Having read the comic for this, I can't wait to see both how it's adapted and how Blind Wave reacts to it.
As one who hasn't read the comics but enjoyed the series, I'm curious to know how you enjoyed it. I understand they changed a few things and really made it their own show, which I assumed to be a good thing.
@@AngryPieMan In my opinion, the show's better. The comic's not bad but it's excessively dark, convoluted, and gruesome at times. I know it's meant to be that type of comic but it's a bit too much. In the show, they've really also streamlined the plot well without losing the darker elements and balanced character "screentime" and powers better than the comic.
Neat! Good to know. I really enjoyed the show. So it's nice to know it didn't dishonor it's source material.
@@AngryPieMan I agree, I think the show is an improvement on the comic, the comic felt overly gratuitous, the show manages to have plenty of graphic and explicit content without being ridiculously over the top in a bad way. I also think the characters overall are handled and developed better in the show.

Maybe the most realistic superhero show, as in : the most connected to all the problems in our modern day society.
And to me, probably the best superhero show ever done, to this day.

Great reaction! I just started watching this, I have only seen the first two episodes, so good!! It reminds me of an analogy for Hollywood with all the brand deals and the superheroes being like icons.
