Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018) - Infested Jaegers ambush - Only action [4K]

- So here it is, the second film. It took a completely diferent direction, it's more bright and... got kids in it. The fights are good tho. Visuals are also cool, the fact that Jaegers got faster and more mobile is good and bad at the same time. They don't feel as massive and heavy no more, but still I had fun making those clips, so I hope you enjoy it too!

This is the only scene in this movie where the Jaegers felt like they had some actual kinetic energy in their movements
You mean when they moved around like martial artists without feel of weight and size?
Yea totally.
Every other time in the movie everybody is just a building sized transformer
You all are mad, the entire movie they had good physics
@@danielm.595 Not really, why is it that in this scene the Jaegers can barely handle a missile, but throughout the rest of the movie they are being thrown across entire metropolitan centers, it makes no sense
@@rawhidelamp "a missile" excuse me? That Jeager clearly got hit with more than one missile ON the same place, that tends to fuck with the structural integrity of anything, and at the final battle they clearly take damage from being throwed like ragdolls throughout the city, we just don't see the damage being transferred to the cockpit due to better pilot protection systems.
Damn, those are Halo Elites on STEROIDS!!!
🤣
It's a two man army
They look more like the Hunters to me
Makes me think of The Infested faction in Warframe.
Wort wort
Ah so nice that even after all those years they still didn’t put any turrets or cannons to defend the Dome. “We have some giant robots to protect it” Can the jeagers go in auto? I don’t think so
If Giant Robots can't handle them, do you really think torrents will? Plus, the breach was closed. They had no way of knowing they would come back.
@@Assassin199410 A MILITARY installation that hosts valuable technology that isn't even properly defended, there is no excuse for that.
@@Assassin199410 yeah, but it is military. They would do everything to ensure the safety of their installations, as well as prepare as much as they could to ensure that they are not caught by surprise. You said it yourself, they did not know whether they would come back, so why not prepare yourself in case they do? And I am sure the turrets could do some damage, realistically.
Why not have big plasma guns at the dome
I mean they can put plasma guns on the jaegers and they do a lot of damage against the kaiju
Why not add plasma guns to the dome
@@Assassin199410 turrets absolutely will work, they just have to fire a big enough shell.
Don't get why the Shatterdome didn't just go into full lockdown right away. Screw trying to scramble the Jaegers immediately, your enemy is at the gates and combat ready, the only thing you can do is buy time to bring up defenses safely
I guess they were completely taken by surprise and off guard. The enemy jaegers literally just appeared, didnt even need to sneak up.
you wasting your logic on this crappy sequel, Shatterdome gate is controled by power of stupid script, that’s why :D
absolutely. then the infected fight to break through the giant door, burning tons of their energy just to find a bunch of jaegers inside waiting for them. but i guess thats much less dramatic than killing a bunch of people.
Ok not going to lie, but this scene in this movie are actually good...if only the rest of the movie lived up to the action.
Is actually good
Imagine your phone just up and turns into a giant beetle. I’d freak out
@@lambrosmaouris8785 ที่
Ikr this is so much better concept for the film
Jaegers become kaiju hybrids and start going rogue and form a kaiju jaeger faction as the remaining jaegers now must go to war with the numerous infested jaegers
The worst idea for the film was letting stupid teenagers pilot such awesome robots...
i wanna see what the kaiju that got cut in half looks like when not dead
It looked to be a category 5.
@@Levi_52_336 yeah that thing was massive
Its name's crabcakes and has shrimp/lobster-like lower body
it should have been able to survive that would bee cool to see a kaiju crawler
If you compare it to kaiju/jaeger hybrid its so big
This is a good idea
Having corrupted jaegers, IF ONLY THEY USED THEM MORE
Tbh, I really liked them. They should've been the focus this time and the movie might've been better. Still need to work on the action scenes better tho.
@@kiyoshi3313 that is what you call a *WASTED POTENTIAL* film
Well, we get to see more of this in the new anime.
at the end of the movie, i quote "giant robots, real original guys". The final enemy is just a giant monster, most anticlimactic final fight ever.
So a jeager can sumo with multi-million ton Goliaths, trading blows with more force than most weapons that came before them, able to take an absurd amount of punishment. but it takes 3 missiles to the foot and goes down. Alrighty then, go for the ankle, got it.
Edit: grammar mistakes and whatnot.
That's what I thought
Titan redeemer is the Achilles of this world got it!
In their defense, big guns dont work...
Achilles heel!
Always go for the joints
i loved the first one. the direction the second one took was too focused on being marketed to children and killed what the franchise originally stood for
Agreed
So basically what really killed the franchise is how the movie directors and producers were taking reviews of how many assets put into the first movie were wasted cuz the general audiences were mostly children or child age intended?
I hope everyone can at least agree that these things were cool.
Agreed
True, though still not near enough to redeem this movie.
Eehh.. Not so sure about that. :/
Agreed 💯
Production evas
Ahh yes Pacific Rim uprising, a movie that combines power rangers and transformers all in one
You forget on Godzilla😂😂
And Neon Genesis Evangelion
Which is basically shit mixed with shit
Transformers?..
Don't disrespect transformers like that
1:42
are we not gonna talk about this guy? ik this movie is pretty bad and all but there were a few parts I enjoyed
A fine chad there, manage to kill one of them before death
2:28 damn that Kaiju is huge!
Its like Category 6
Glad someone said it. One of its Arms is the size of one of those drones which would make that thing absolutely massive
Yeah, I noticed that too, probably bigger for as or big as those mega Kaijus
I agree guys. Damn that is off the charts. Precursors aren't joking. Too bad we didn't know the name of that Kaiju
Probably the first category 6 if it survived
@@narukamishirou284 goodluck to them if it's actually a Category 8.
Why do always have kids join in robot films? i hate that!
Uhhhmmm... Japan would probably do it, because it's cool.
Agreed
Ikr it so cringey and dumb
In evangelion it worked...
Because evangelion IS about teenage guy with depression/existential crisi and a lot of symbolism
Amara helped Jake save the world.
And this ladies and gentleman is how we get to se Apex(anime adaptation)
Yes true
I lovr that show
Yep, the anime is pretty good so far. A lot of connections made, it’s cool to see actually.
2:19 why don’t they just make that laser beam as a weapon? Seems pretty op to me
yeah,it cut that Kaiju like butter
Energy problems, I'd think that the Jaegers-Kaijus would deactivate themselves once the finished opening the breaches
@Anzu Arden did you see three kaiju's combine into one like a goddamn megazord??? I dont even think using that lazer beam would be enough to kill it since it has 3 hearts(or brains idk) in one attack if it ever happens again, but if it were something like cannons then probably a good idea since it wont have to sacrifice a jaeger
@@gonnagohate3230 lazer beam wouldn't be enough but the swarm their should of been instead used to cover the jagers and tear them apart piece by piece sense they have no counter measures against that I don't even know what tf the writers and directors were thinking
Yea that must have been so embarrassing being summoned and getting cut into pieces
This is the first time I've seen missiles do real damage, most of the time there just shrugged off like nothing happen but here their doing massive amounts of damage
0:52 this is exactly why you don't wanna build a mech lol
Got this randomly in my notifications? !?!?
I think I can speak for a lot of Pacific Rim fans that Uprising didn't necessarily need to be exactly like PR1.
I much as I passionately love the groans, squeaks and jiggles of slow-moving brawlers, Uprising could have still been amazing with its agile Jaegers; echoing the late 90s mechas I'm sure a lot of weebs enjoy. It was just bad execution, absurdity without catharsis, and characters designed to appease a demographic rather than a genre.
Gotta agree on that: the visuals are pleasing, but the sound effects, plot and story writings, and the bad acting can never surpass this movie anywhere near the level of the first PacificRim
The one complaint about this movie I don’t get is the jeagers being more human like. I feel like it was a natural upgrade after the first movie
@@Leon_el_pro i guess people are still wanting that heavy brawlers feel you get from PR 1
But then again if you look at Striker and compare it to these new ones, it's a logical upgrade in terms of design and function

Samuel Hayden turns into an Elite and Kills Evangelion
lets be honest here, with those high technology that can help them move like Olympic athletes but less powerful against gigantic mutant monster, they should have aply artilery, especially katyusha-the Soviet's fast and powerful ultimate weapon to YEET the Kaijus
Yeah, they really nerfed the durabilities of the jaegers. Apparently cuz the jaegers have been focused for security patrols and illegal jaeger subjugations just like November Ajax for the past few years
Welcome back, Kimer Lorens!
I need to watch this one again.. I don’t remember it looking THIS good
@ryona gamer lol no, not by a long shot.
@ryona gamer are you drunk?
ryona gamer like hell it is!
Why all the hate guys?
@Bean Mr That's just sad to hear
The only problem of this movie is the scaling of those jaegers and kaiju, sometimes it looks bigger sometimes it looks smaller when u compare to building
I really liked how the first film tried not to pull from existing mecha and kaiju media, that being said, the Jaeger design here being a reference to the Eva Series from Neon Genesis is pretty cool
Damn i just love movies with giant robots and monsters
People controlling the drones:this is a perfect da- *kaiju brain has entered the chat*

I haven’t seen the movie but know a decent amount of the plot. How were the infected?
They had a "synthetic" posterior Kaiju brain encased in a metalic shell that allowed external pilots to control them. The idea would work ( and as we see in the final battle, it did ) if not for the sabotage of someone from inside which was being controlled by the Precursors.
DANIEL M. Thank you so much!
the pilots of Titan Redeemer were pure heroes
Rest In Peace
the green robot is called titan redemer
@@bmwclub5307 right. Sorry. Haven't seen this movie.
It looks like the right side pilot died from the angle we were shown, so technically we now have 3 confirmed instances of solo jeagers combat
, el video me ha gustado le doy un like
if this was a stand alone film, it would probably be so so since the action is quite good, but, it has to live up to the expectation, and its predecessor set that bar so incredibly high that is almost impossible to at least be on par with it
First pacific rim we see gipsy danger survive a nuke and here we see Titan redeemer taken down by a few missiles💀
Wahhh film ini sangat bagus 👍👍
Nice video
Damn... The alien did so much better on using the yaeger than all the human did
This doesn't look that bad, but also doesn't feel like Pacific Rim at all. More like Michael Bay's Transformers.
Let me correct myself: The whole movie feels like Michael Bay's Transformers.
What? The ridiculous robot stunts, shit talkings, or the bad writings?
I guess I’m the only one who loved this movie
Me too :c
@@Haz_Oni me three
Yo that last kaiju was massive man, that thing was cut in half and still those normal jaegers were like the size of its arm. So I like that they did that cause that means they stuck with the same plan in this scene as the did later in the movie where the kaiju had to improvise: use a HUGE one and throw it in a volcano
Your movie kimer is beautiful
Welcome Kimer Lorens❤️
Wow Cooler Master
The Shatterdome, a huge facility housing multiple Jagers that cost a lost of money to build and are our best line of defense against Kaiju.
Also the Shatterdome: Is defended by a single Jager and doors that don't immediately start closing when an enemy shows up outside.
Flawless bloody logic there lads.
And no defensive turret
New transformers movie looks great.
Am I the only 1 who is reminded of Dregs from Destiny 1 and 2 with white armor from those possed mechs
💋🌹💕💟
Honestly didn't think about that
Still wondering how one survived since in the New series, Apex was the last surviving kaiju Jaeger drone
Maybe he act like deactivated jaeger before find away to escape out off this place before someone notice it
@@Zion042 one thing i also noticed is that the drone jaegers here look more damaged and have messed up hands, but Apex doesnt
@@endless_fox1462 Apex is not like normal kaiju-jaeger hybrids i think his algorithm got evo after get damage like "I want to survive" maybe he repait him self by find a part from destroy jaeger or is just simple like someone just want to watch world burn on fire and repair apex before release him
DAMMMMM THE SIZE OF THE LAST KAIJU WTH this to much big dam imagine the beast, the carnage it would have done
Me encanto
chido muy gneial el metrial -.-.
Doctor samuel hayden worked out with senator armstrong, i see.
I feel like Titan Redeemer has to be the most realistic Jaeger in the movie, this is because it actually has weight in its movements.
November Ajax??
@@Baden_Koria thats also realistic
There's something I've realised watching this scene a few times. Are the Jaegers in this movie smaller than the ones in the first movie? I feel like, no longer needing to worry about the threat of Kaiju's, they started sacrificing height for mobility, cause these Jaegers are obviously more mobile than the ones in the first movie, and I swear they look smaller in this scene.
Some jaegers are smaller but the main ones are big and tall. They just say it's because they just have more advanced technology which explains why they can move so fast and feel light despite being 100 feet tall and thousands of pounds
Nope, I think the scale is still the same, maybe one of three Kaijus in the final scene were smaller than 250 feet. But Strikethorn and Raijin were definitely taller than 300 feet, only Hakujah was smaller than 200 feet. It's just that the scale is not visible due to the landscape in which they are fighting.
@@aswinastro yes, in fact, I think that Valor Omega (was he the one with the demolition ball? ) is slightly taller than Cherno Alpha
@@danielm.595 I am not sure. I checked the Wiki for Pacific Rim and Uprising (Sequel), I don';t find any figures for Valor Omega. But I do find figures for Gipsy Avenger (268 feet) and November Ajax (260 feet). But even by those standards, Cherno Alpha (Mark 1 - 280 feet) and Coyote Tango (Also Mark I - Piloted by Pentecost and his friend and standing also at 280 feet) are the tallest on record.

So that kaiju needed help to get out of the portal must be really heavy😂😂😂
One of thos can be Apex...
These look like the hunters from Halo if they were huge and way more agile.
Elites more like it
@@VaanRavi They have a hunters head, stance, and spine, but an Elite's slimness and digitigrade legs.
@@witnessme602 the armor makes them look like Elites, especially the two mouth mandibles
Ahhh yes one barrage of missiles meant for Kaiju flesh is enough to completely destroy a jaegers entire leg and make them collapse on them selves. Such amazing design
they also had a wrist gun, which they didnt bother using til they are already down and instead tried to close in on melee. speaking of which why did the base have those cannons mounted around.
Hey look it's the 9th Angel!
Good reference to evangelion.
Time for a dance off, snap!

Do any body else see a similarity to the giant Elites from Halo?
They were bringing a big kaiju though the portal at the end of this scene.
This movie was good... Only if they didn't changed the pilots with some kids. Also, I don't really feel the final fight scene on this one, they looked like a bunch of idiots unlike the original one you can really tell how nerve-wrecking and satisfiying their fight scenes is.
I felt bad for that kaiju he just got out but killed already and i want to see that kaijus full body looks so cool
Zor kino ekan kurilar
loved the idea of there being a techno organic virus that can take control of the jaegers.
but the jaegers themselves looked and felt way to human (someone give them a sandwhich)
cept for the green one i loved that design. the one with thr morning star for a hand. or it is a mace? wrecking ball? 🤷
Seems like Parademons in Justice League Dark..
Be honest, this scene is really good besides bad movie
monster steps on titan's(redemeer) head
me: wHy tHeRe's no explosion
The conpod has little explosive macho Mary that is flammable as it must be safe enough for the pilots to not die from the fusion of heat molecules mixed with the air inside the conpod
The same reason why a car don't explode easily, it's not made to be explosive, otherwise no one would want to enter it.
literally reminds me of eva 03 from evangelion and the halo elites mixed with hunters
For some reason this terrifies me
Looks like a captain from Destiny
I honestly wished that that monster came out of da portal
Go go power ranger!!!
amis hermanos les gusta mucho esta pelicula
Padahal lebih bagus klo ngikutin lanjutan film pertamanya menyerang ke tempat kaiju langsung

so in other fights the Jaegers can get thrown through buildings, punched and hit by missiles without a scratch beside getting knocked around a bit by explosions. but here one little rocket or hit and it crumbles like cardboard.
