Lmaooo Peter Parker in the comics never catches a break Sam rami captured that perfectly lol
@@MUSICLOVER23429 This Spider-Man is the best live action. Animation wise I'd either have to say the guy from Spider-Man and his Amazing Freinds, Josh Keaton, or Christopher Daniel Barnes.
Exactly. Nor should he. Because life is about overcoming challenges and doing so through proper moral decisions ergo making the right choice.
This and Spider Man Ps4
@@RedismycolorImDeadpool117 bruh you get enjoyment from watching Peter suffer
Aunt May can handle the fall, she's durable much like the actress playing her (Rosemary Harris) who is still alive today at 93 years old.
A badass woman who did her own stunts in this film at the age of 76.
@@JiReyAnimation SFX Artists: "CGI can make it look like an old woman's being thrown about by a super-villain." Rosemary Harris: "Hold my zimmer."
I really felt like her Aunt May was the only woman in these movies who acted like a real woman, when in distress. Others are screaming waifs: "Oh, save me, Spider-Man!"
@@jean-paulaudette9246 for real she was so great in every scene how could you not respect her she put her heart into that roll

Fun fact: in nearly every adaptation of the Spider-Man story, both Norman and Harry have been shown to have hallucinogenic schizophrenia. It’s not really a ghost talking to them as much as it is themselves. With the superhuman drug they inject themselves with, that schizophrenia grows into a separate personality. That personality makes itself known as the green goblin.
Yes, true cause when Harry threw the knife, on the first frame it's Norman's face. On the second it's Harry's reflection. And on the last frame it's Norman looking like he is hurt.
But Harry didn’t have the drug yet
@@zoxyy.1xThe drug isn’t what gives him schizophrenia, it only makes it worse.
@@TheMrChipmyster But he never had it prior to that.

Growing up in this era with these movies has been one of the biggest blessings I have been given
Yes
I saw all three of them at my local movie theater at their release dates. Greatest moments of my life.
honestly, the danny elfman score makes these movies even greater
this might be the best Spiderman film ever.
This or spider verse
Probably the best comic book film of all time imo
it is the all time best superhero movie for me
yea this movie means so much to me and the nostalgia, not only because its my childhood, but because it feels straight out of a 60s spiderman comicbook
MIGHT BE??!!...;)
If you look, the movie started with Peter watching Mary Jane and the film ended with Mary Jane watching Peter.
That's called a Raimi movie
How the turntables

Like poetry, it rhymes.
WOW
The "my back, my back" was a joke as Tobey Macguire had an actual back issue while they were filming.
wait...there's people in the world who've NOT seen spider-man 2, my mind is blown
Definitely 😹😹
How can you possibly not see the BEST version of spiderman(tom Holland is good but still on the way)
@@jgibs7980 i love this movie with all my heart its what got me into movies. But as a Spider-Man movie i have to give it to far from home. I dont think any other film has fully understood the character the way that has. All in my own opinion of course
Hahaa true
@@Reelfilms1998 it's ps4 spiderman scenes was a movie it would be miles better ngl
Do you notice how the Tobey Maguire Spiderman trilogy has a theme for each movie.
Spiderman one getting powers
Spiderman two losing powers
Spiderman three abusing powers
and he is losing his powers in 2 cause thematically it makes sense..theres no real reason given..no need.....his life gets better because he wants to stop so his body knows it and shuts down...its great writing
@@razkable he lost his powers because of stress and mental pressure. And it makes sence to the story.
@Red Rex he lost his powers due to stress and relationship problems with mj. Thats the whole point of the fucking movie and Swinging in the sky's gives him no pleasure so he gives up on spider man but later after aunt may speech he tries to come back but fails because mj and his relationship is still messing with his mind then in the cafe, mj asks him if he loves her and he tells he doesn't know. Then doc comes and he gets his powers back because mj is no longer a problem in his mind. So he losses his powers due to stress and relationship problems like other humans not some fucking dna shit. Spider-Man 2 stands for choice.
@Red Rex he did lose he’s powers through stress and anxiety, your talking about how it’s not in a spiders dna but when have you ever seen or heard of a spider swing from building to building or even doing all these summersaults Peter be doing.
This movie had more heart and emotional points than any other super hero movie. It's absolutely one of the best ever.
Alfred Molina is awesome as Doctor Octopus
Throw me the idol and I'll throw you the whip.

He is the best Spider-Man villain
@@biguy617 For the movies, I agree...but in the comics, I did always love Rhino & the Scorpion.
Idk if you noticed but the newspaper guy, J. Jonah Jameson, is the same guy who exposed Peter's identity at the end of Far From Home. They even brought JK Simmons back to play him, when I saw it in the theater the whole crowd went insane!
Good review. This is still the greatest Spider-Man movie to date.
this and the spiderverse
@@huzaifahabdulwahab1499 Yeah, if you’re into cartoons. Spiderverse was good but as far as live action, SM2 is the best.
@@AceLopez1 i agree sm2 is a good movie. i hate cartoons, but i found spiderverse to be a quality movie. my opinion: the best of 2000-2005s is raimi's sm2. the best of the 2015-2020s is spiderverse.
my opinion doesn't disqualify yours btw.
To me mine is Spider-Man 3 and the OG but I love all of Tobey’s Spider-Man movies and Andrew’s and Tom’s but Andrews Spider-Man movies are the best
I don't know. I'd rather date the first one.
Pizza delivery made this PS2 game AWESOME.
I think MJ's "Happy Birthday" was the first thing in the movie that didn't make him miserable.
But then she followed that up with "im seeing someone now"
"I would have just taken of my glasses and see if I could see" that was much better idea than what Peter's back had in mind
Lol
this bit made me laugh my ass off HAHAHAHA
The real thing which makes these Spider-Man movies remarkable is that these movies are not about Spider-Man. They're about Peter.
It's like
Peter Parker: discovering himself
Peter Parker 2: Love, Life and being a superhero
Peter Parker 3: Endgame.
Wasnt 3 supposed to be about duality and the dark side
My man predicted Peter 1, Peter 2 and Peter 3.
He's losing his powers because it's psychosomatic, he doesn't want to be Spider-Man so bad that is making his powers cut off.
*Someone* watched Film Theory
isn't it more because he's confused about whether he wants to be spiderman or if he wants to be peter parker, if I remember right even his doctor said the same or at least something similar
@@NewsofPE sorta, but he more so wants to be Peter since spiderman is ruining his life. He loses the will to be spiderman.
he also missed the whole crime up 75% because spiderman is gone..it makes sense that arson is a afoot so random thugs are setting buildings on fire..its ny after all...criminals gather there like crazy
@@NewsofPE that's literally what the original comment said. What the fuck were you disagreeing with whatsoever lmfao ur comment is so assbackwards
Im not joking when i say this movie is one of the best movies of all time, everything in the movie was spot on.
This movie has always had a weird place in my heart. While I was at the movies watching this with my mom my dad was dying of a heart attack somewhere else. For a long time this movie was ruined for me because it brought back bad memories and I probably didn't watch it again for 10 years or so. It's a fun movie though, once I put aside my troubled past with it.
Also, on a brighter note, there is a cameo by one of my hometown natives in each of these movies by the name of Bruce Campbell. This ON TOP of the fact that the director is from that same hometown. Just a fun little fact I like to think about even though it has nothing to do with me.
Sorry about your dad
The best spider-man 🙏🕷
Inna thala
I think the reason Parker loses his powers, is because he has to choose either being a successful guy and not being Spider-Man, or give up personal happiness and protect the innocent as Spider-Man. No one, no man, no woman, no child can ever have it all. Remember the old phrase "you can't have your cake and eat it?"
Damn I forgot how good this movie really is. Feels authentic
I think the 90’s was an amazing decade for movies so early 2000’s kinda got the fall over from that. So yes seems all the great movies came out around the same time.
yeah most of the movies right now are film on iphone that's the reason most of them suck
Nolan took a lot from these films.
Him losing his powers is purely psychological, it’s quite easy to understand.
"Its like something corrupts their mind."
So what you're saying is... with great power comes great responsibility?
Now that you've seen these ones and "far from home"...J J jameson, the newspaper director, is the first character to be present in both universes. Check the after credits of "far from home".
Stan lee?
@@McLarryFace Stan doesn't play the same character though. Same acotr, sure. But not playing the same character.
Errrm Patrick Stewart days of future past. Two different X-Men franchises same character same actor. Same with Logan both him and Hugh Jackman in a film not linked to the old films and is just based off the novel.

He literally does. He reports to the watchers.
“For two years passing, Harry looks a lot older and Peter doesn’t look that much older”
Don’t forget Harry lost his dad and has been running Oscorp. I imagine that stress would take a toll on you
This is the best directed movie, in my opinion. The action is phenomenal.
j jonah is almost scary good in this movie...perfect acting casting and scenes with him..every second is golden...10/10
i like the first one better than any other spider man movie and the last scene of the fist Spiderman film is the best fighting scene in any spider man movie i have ever seen
You referenced Peter never catching a break but the YT edit here didn't have the scene with the piece of cake. Everything starts to turn around for Peter with just one act of kindness from his random stranger neighbor. It's a theme a lot of reactors don't catch because it's very subtle, but the whole movie is about needing to have a support structure, friends and family, to pursue your higher calling. From Otto losing his wife and losing his humanity, only getting it back when Peter believes in him and offers him friendship and redemption, to Peter losing his way as he tries to distance himself and go it alone and only becoming Spiderman again when he starts to reconnect with May and MJ and saves the baby and the train to reconnect to his calling and the people he can help in NYC.
It's a really great film and this was a great reaction, lovin the older content just as much as the new!
What I love about this trilogy is how it gives you roller coaster feelings from very human, simple things. Like how Peter repeatedly cannot get a snack and very iconic lines that was born through silent conversations. 💕
The reactions and feelings are very raw and New York looks gold ✨
I love how they referenced the "I'm back!" Scene in, Into the Spider Verse with Miles Morales

That train fight is SOOO GOOD
He was losing his abilities due to the fact that he didn’t believe in himself and he had depression usually when you’re depressed your body is in as strong as it supposed to be so he’s losing his ability slowly
It's amazing how fusion energy will soon change the world but octavius's design for the containment was wrong as far as I know. We would need to create it as a ring structure but we are close to creating these. Once we do we could unlock so much with the right minds working on it.
I believe that Aunt May genuinely knew Peter is Spider-Man
"peter doesn't look much older" well because he was and looked like his late 20s since the first movie😅
Spiderman 2 was such a outstanding and incredible sequel on so many levels due to it's witty and clever dialogue and humor, comedic moments, emotional resonance, action sequences, performance's by the cast, motivational, powerful, and inspirational life messages. It was decent. Tobey Maguire did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Peter Parker/ Spiderman as he put tons of emotion and depth into his role. It was decent. To this day the ending still gives me chills and goosebumps 😰😱 as it was just a really perfect, epic, and satisfying way to end the movie and I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old 😍😎👍💯
There’s a theory that Peter lost his powers due to PTSD considering he ticks all the boxes for diagnosis. He’s been thru traumatic events of his own plus his loved ones have been thru it. He isolated himself a lot from his friends & his boss.
It wasn’t until he took a backseat & started being a hero for himself when he got his powers back. He learned to find that balance. I actually wish they highlighted that part of the movie more. He wouldn’t have just been a physical role model, but a psychological one too.
The reason why Peter lost his powers is because he got PTSD. Film theory explains something like that :)
These movies aren't even Maguire's good work, that's how good he is.
?
No, these are amazing.
@@Cooper-gr2uk Not very bright, are you.
@@tempsitch5632 Actually, I am extremely smart. These are by far Maguire's best work.

How would you rank the Spider-Man movies that you’ve seen?
Aunt may is probably the best part if this trilogy, she's brilliant and I love her story of why the neighbour kid feels lost without spiderman
Auny May's actress wanted to do the stunt herself. The filmmakers were concerned for her health, but she insisted.
14:55 Primate’s reaction after seeing that Will Smith and Chris Rock moment at the Oscars. 😂😂
My favorite of the original 3 spiderman movies!!
A great film, with a great villain and a great Peter Parker/Spiderman. Strong script, impressive camerawork and very good acting.

Spider-Man 2 is my favorite Spider-Man movie of the original trilogy
Yes 90s to early 2000s have some of the best movies, better directing, scripts and acting. I really miss this era, so many amazing films. Action Hollywood movies you can check out (Speed, Titanic, Indiana Jone, Die Hard, Matrix) if you haven't yet. Thanks for reacting to Spider Man 2, this one was my favourite. No reboot has been able to beat it yet in my opinion.
This is by FAR my favorite Spiderman film EVER.
The pacing, direction, casting, tone, effects, music, editing...all PERFECT.
It equals one of the BEST superhero films ever produced, to this DAY.
So many amazing moments, but the bit that STILL chokes me up and makes me cry a bit is right after Peter saves the train full of people, and is about to fall...and the hands that appear to catch him and save him in gratitude. Such a fantastic, emotional moment.
Glad you liked it too, man.
I love the ending. It COULD have just ended with Spider-Man swinging into the sunset to save the day, having won the girl of his dreams. Finally having a win after a losing streak. A happy ending. But no. It ends a couple seconds longer, holding on Mary Jane's concerned face. And the ominous music. It gives off this sense of maybe this was a mistake, and maybe something worse is coming. Some darkness may cloud their future. Something may come to ruin this fairy tale ending. It could be interpreted as that, or some more optimistic viewers may see it as a cathartic sigh of relief to close the roller coaster of a movie.
"Peter doesn't catch a break in this f movie, holy hell"
It's called Parker's luck, and that's just a 1% of what he suffers in the comics
Him holding the train shows he is the strongest Spider-Man out of the 3
With common sense, those people in the building should have stepped away to a safer distance before Otto began the sun experiment with the arms that were never tested. That’s so risky
The message I got from this movie was that there is no point in dwelling on the past, or becoming obsessed with accomplishing your goals for the future, when it sacrifices you living your life currently.
the actor playing Doc Oc in this played in the opening scenes of The Raiders of the Lost Ark; one of the guys helping Indiana Jones, who betrays him after he gets the idol from that South American tribe.
5:15
Dude. That’s his WHOLE schtick.
Great power = great responsibility. The burden of his powers and being Spider-Man and the cost of responsibility.
And the role of uncle bens words and the impact of his death on Peter.
Bro mad people found out who Spider-Man is in this movie
Harry
Doctor octopus
Marry Jane
The doctor
Plus all those people on that train
😂😂
This is probably my favorite spider man movie so far.
i clicked in these vids thinking you were a complete psycho for not seeing these but its actually really wholesome experiencing someone watching these for the first time
OG raimi spiderman movies have so much soul and heart man, MCU spiderman movies are fun but it always feels like it's lacking in someway.
he's losing his powers cuz he's suffering from ptsd from accidentally killing harry's dad and also spiderman is getting in the way of peter's personal life so he stops being spiderman but he realizes that he has a job to do and he realizes that ney york needs spiderman even i it gets in the way of peter's life and that why "With great power comes great responsibility" and in the first move at the end thats why he said "this is my gift, my curse, who am i? im spiderman"
Best line in the whole movie, “Your wife’s on the line she says she lost the checkbook.” “Thanks for the good news!”
The reason he loses his powers is cause of his mentality, he's divided between two sides of himself and isn't motivated to be spiderman cause it's wrecking his life and keeping his from the things he wants to do, so, basically he's having a internal war with himself
The beautiful thing u can see in contrast from villains back then compared to now they’ve attached emotional aspects to them as for back then the villainous scary attachment was at its prime. Not sayin the THOUGHT of *Thanos* or *Steppenwolf* isn’t scary but we were legitimately scared of characters like *Doctor Octopus, Dr Doom, Scarecrow, Mewtwo* & More
The guy who wouldn’t let him in the show is the same guy who called his name from the wrestling event
I Love "Pizza Time" That Is A Meme
Its so entertaining to watch people reacting to awesome movies :D
27:46 trust me, the 3rd movie was by far the best.
The best Spider-Man movie.
15:00 WTH? No, man... Damn.
Why would she hate him? She's not a psycho...
His powers aren't some magical force that can just all turn off and on... It's mental, just like anything can block your skills and abilities.
It's not a sun.
24:45 You know there's hallucinations... brain ghosts... delusions... disorders.
25:05 Peter had no idea it was there.
3 is a mess, but still good.
This is why i love the OG trilogy more than the rest. Peter doesn't just outright come out and tell MJ he's spiderman like the rest, plus like the first movie it actually delved into his origins and didn't just go, oh hey he's spider-man here's what he can do
It’s also cool to think about that Peter told his doctor that he’s Spider-Man and it makes sense when you think about it.
Jk Simmons who plays the newspaper dude J.Johan.Jameson is a brilliant actor. I would high recommend the film whiplash it is so intense.
SpiderMan 2 one of the greatest superhero films of all time. Its up there with The Dark Night and Infinity War
Harry slapped the shit outta Peter 😂
I'm not sure if you're aware but Sam Raimi (the director of these films) got his start as a horror director with the Evil Dead franchise. At the 11:00 mark you can kind of see how he still can scare the crap out of an audience and he never lost it lol. Love that scene
Let’s see you scurry out of this. Can we just talk about how bad ass that move that Peter pulled was?
His emotions are messing with his powers. His heart is not always in it. That is why his powers are not always working.
This movie is so much more depressing than I remember
I wish that more people would include Dr. Oc's line "I will not die a monster"
Fun fact: when Tobey did that “my back, MY BACK” scene he actually hurt his back and that’s why there are no more Spider-Man movies besides Spider-Man 3. They wanted him back but Tobey said no because of his back
I mean no, Sam Raimi walked away from Spider-Man 4 after creative differences. Also the ‘my back, my back’ scene was already in the script before he hurt his back
Yes, his web slinging has improved and its way better . Spider-man 2 and 3 his slinging is bomb
Spiderman 2 will be forever my favorite spiderman movie
I really loved the comic book Openings for this series but this one had the best one. I think of Spiderman 2 was my favourite of this series. I love Jay Jona Jameson, I miss him in all the other Spiderman
As someone in NYC, bit of a pet peeve with the train scene. It said Bay Ridge bound which isn't in Manhattan, and that area of Manhattan doesn't have elevated trains like that anymore, it was actually based off a section of Chicago
I was the right age when this film came out and I kept watching it over and over.
“She’s gonna get sucked into the fucking sun bro” lmao that was hilarious
I agree about the Goblin suit in the first movie.
He reminded me of a Power Ranger villain. By the looks of the promotional material for No Way Home, it looks like he’s gonna ditch the helmet in the movie & wear the purple hood from the comics along with some goggles.
I kinda hope he gets a different mask later on tho. I love seeing Dafoe’s facial expressions but he’s not really the Goblin without the mask. I hope they give him something like his original planned mask from the 2002 movie:

The new spider man movie looks so fire 🔥. Supposed to have tobey, Andrew and Tom playing spider man and Jamie foxx as electro and this dude and doc ock. Smh gonna be so lit 😂
This is definitely my favourite out of the trilogy. I think it’s ranked 2,1,3
He mentions it in NWH, but he was going through an existential crisis which is why he lost his powers. One thing that never gets talked abt Tobey’s spidey is how much he been through IN the movies . I don’t like comparing who’s been through worse , but imo Tobey’s Peter went through more but Andrew’s went through worse. Tobey went through uncle Ben’s death who was a father figure to him (same with Andrew) , breakups (same with Andrew ) , but Tobey had to deal with his bestfriend hating him for most of 2 (even if his best friend didn’t know he was hating Peter) and fighting his best friend and who did try and kill him and technically took his girl from him , which caused a breakup then just for his bestfriend to get killed at the end of the movie . But Andrew went through the love of his life basically being killed by a childhood friend
“Bro she’s gonna get sucked into the fucking SUN!”
