Something about the older marvel movies just hit different
Yeah no doubt. Some of the new movies are terrible in my opinion
@@shameekgrimes1921 *cough cough* Captain marvel
Not to mention, too many force comedy humor even when some scenes are suppose to be taken seriously
@@shameekgrimes1921 exactly too much comedy ruins the drama, stakes, and tension out of scenes and that's what the current mcu is all about now and it's not really funny stuff it's mainly cringey hip references or dumb goofy shit going on lmao. Iron man 2 actually had funny and clever humor for the most part, it doesn't land in some areas but overall it's genuinely funny. All the phase one movies had fun moments and comedy but they also had drama, tension, and stakes. That was never diminished.
@Cyberdemon Mike bruh i watched that movie 9 times and its still aswesome to watch
Did you notice that the senator that hated Tony and gave him the medal at the end was a hydra member. It was revealed in Winter Soldier , no wonder he was desperate to get starks suits , Hydra could do a lot of damage with his tech.
Played by Gary Shandling. I loved his comedy, growing up. "It's Gary Shandling's Show" used to bust me up.
at the end he looks like a seal
The line "It's me, I'm here. Deal with it" is a meta joke about War Machine being recast. Pretty fucking genius.
Ivan's father worked with Howard Stark. But he stole his work and Howard had him deported. Ivan thinks his father's work was stolen by Howard, who got all the riches and fame from it, so he has a vendetta against the Stark name.
Howard Stark: “I am limited by the technology of my time”
Also Howard Stark: **builds flying car in the 1940s**
I mean, it didn't actually work though.
Right
@@MontgomeryWenis Well it technically did, just not for very long.
1st gen Stark proprietary repulsor technology, father invented son perfected :D
fun fact its been confirmed that the material that tony invented is the same super material that the tesseract is made out of. The material was chosen by Odin himself to protect people from the space stones power yet still let the stupid amount of power get harnessed and transferred. And Howard Stark was able to figure out a 10,000+ year old god in like 20 years. The starks are OP.
It also makes sense because Howard was studying the tesseract
So technically he didn’t find a new element
@@hamilton1345 for earthlings, he did. Go check what word "find" means
Sam Rockwell kills it in this movie. Such a good actor
Sam Rockwell is one of my fav actors. As is Mickey Rourke
Sam Rockwell kills it in every movie!
Ok I’m gonna have to be that guy for a moment. I enjoy Sam Rockwell but dammit I hated his character in this film. The entire time he came off as that guy you know is gonna get killed just for being annoying.
Ikr he made me dislike his character.
He improves every movie he’s in.
Fun Fact: The end fight where Tony and Rhodie are taking out the drones was choreographed by Genndy Tartakovsky, the guy who made Samurai Jack, Primal, Sym Bionic Titan and the 03 Clone Wars series.
Makes me so happy to see someone else pointing that out. Tartakovsky is underappreciated.
@@ironcladnomad5639 Still miss Titan. But I am happy the man is still going through with Primal. Such a fantastic show.
@@superhuman456 Primal is nuts. Hallmark visual storytelling for Tartakovsky. I really hope Lucasfilm gets him involved in one of their shows.
The fact that they tie each movie together and so and so on will let you pick up something else almost every time you watch.
Fun fact the kid that was saved from iron man was Peter Parker/Spider-Man when he was a kid and marvel confirmed it
Btw he should react to Austin powers
guaranteed they came up with that on some interview but it doesnt matter cause whatever they say its canon lol
@@darkceptor44 that’s exactly what happened. But I’m okay with it😂
i thought that it wasn't him. Didn't they have that kid but older at tony's funeral
@@chloee7553 You're talking about the kid from Iron Man 3.
@@bryanrogers5648 oh wait nvm then🤡🤡
Don Cheadle as war machine is perfect I think he really brought more life to the character
the suit he puts on in the race car scene is one of my favorite iron man suits ever
Definitely the best cg of the iron man trilogy.
Btw remember the little kid with the iron men mask in this movie
That kid is spiderman
One of my favorite things about Tony is watching the evolution of his suits. Each time he finds a weakness, he creates a new suit to overcome it.
In Iron-Man with the Gold-Titainum alloy to overcome the icing problem, In avengers the suit absorbs Thor's Lightning after this movie's encounter with whiplash and his electrified whips. And the constant evolution of making the suits more portable and available.
Fun fact that I'm SURE has been spoiled. The people behind the MCU retconned this movie in a very wholesome way recently. The kid Tony saves from the drone? That's Peter Parker.
Having watched Winter Soldier first did you notice that Senator who turns out to be a Hydra agent. Knowing this context gives a different meaning to why he's trying to confiscate the iron man armour.
Tony Starks court hearing is just pure gold.
Keep em coming, they’re like mini Xmas gifts
Jon Favreau who directed Iron Man 1 and 2 is not only playing Happy Tony's Bodyguard but he is also writing the screenplay fir the Mandalorian.
All Marvel movies are way more enjoyable and exciting with context plus if you don't really remember the movie that much, that reaction is still worth it in my opinion!
"Sir, I'm gonna have to ask you to exit the donut!"
- Nick Fury, 2010
"No, no I don't think I will."
I'll never understand how people shit on Iron Man 2 and 3. These are great sequels, and Whiplash is such a fantastic villain.
Faccccts
I disagree about iron man 3 but facts iron man 2 is a solid sequel with a solid villain.
For 3 they ruin Mandarin
Mickey Rourke is a boss
Mickey Rourke was n is awesome.
The original reason for the change in Rhodey character from Terrance Howard to Don Cheadle was that Howard signed a 3 picture deal, with Howard making about 8M a movie. After the 1st movie, they basically told Terrance Howard he wasn't that important, and if he took a cut to 1M he would be able to stay on. Howard told them to go pound sand. I had also heard Terrance Howard explain once that he got Robert Downey Jr the part as Iron Man, and that ended up squeezing the budgeting for future films. There are several interviews with Terrance Howard on RUclips on the subject of Don Cheadle replacing him as Rhodey.
this movie got a lot of hate but i personally liked it
i love this one it was the
first MCU film i saw in cinemas and ill never forget
it has issues but far from the worse
whiplash and the gov. bad guys suck but other than that its great...
@@Logan-do2ee me too bro i remember
@@Logan-do2ee my first mcu movie I watched in theatres was incredible hulk
when you're going through some "stuff", it is very hard to talk to someone about it. to open up that can of worms and let yourself be vulnerable. to let someone in.
FYI Sam Rockwell/Justin Hammer auditioned for the Iron Man role but obviously he didn’t so they brought him back for this role!! 👍👍
On Tom Hollands request . Its now official , the little kid with the iron man mask that distracted one of the droid was a young Peter Parker. Tony was his hero all the way back in 2009
Wasn't even the same city.
It Approaches technically yes it is, The Stark Expo was in Flushing, Queens, NYC. Peter is traditionally from Forest Hills, Queens. In Tom Holland’s films we see him more in the Sunnyside/Woodside areas of Queens all of which is close. The outdoor (7) train we see in TH films takes you all down that line to Flushing - it’s very possible to be in Flushing when you live in Forest Hills, it’s not even 2 miles from mid Forest Hills to the start of Flushing - it’s a 15 minute trip.
If you want peak Sam Rockwell, watch Galaxy Quest. One of the funniest characters ever in that movie.
And that's saying a mouthful, that was a great comedic cast.
Loved that you loved Whiplash so much: A lot of fans, and especially non-fans, were extremely harsh on the character and the actor when it came out, bu: Mickey Rourke crushed it and made that character come alive (90% of everything that was cool about the character came from Rourke's input to the role); I know many were dissapointed the Mandarin wasn't in it because they were already dissapointed he wasn't in the first movie, but both Whiplash and Justin Hammer worked perfectly for this movie (And Sam Rockwell equally crushed it!)
The senator who hates tony in this is revealed to be hydra in the winter soldier
I just now noticed that😱
Now that you've seen this, do remember when Dr Strange was driving in the rain and someone sent him an xray of "an Airforce colonel with a BROKEN back" .. Was it the guy in the Hammer suit video during the congressional hearing?
I've read from a lot of people that it was Rhodey after Civil War but idk if that's true.
Besides Elon Musk, Larry Ellison of Oracle was in the POV shots at the Stark Expo...and when Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell) shows up with the Vanity Fair reporter, Christine Everhart (Leslie Bibb) just after Tony talks with Elon Musk, I kinda laugh because Sam and Leslie are married IRL.
The suitcase armour is still the coolest as it’s bigger than the usual suit but still smaller compared to nanotechnology
Makes no sense how it works though. How can pepper carry it like it's a normal suitcase? It should still have the weight of a full suit and there clearly wasnt any maglev tech on it.
This may just be me, but to me it looks kinda slimmer than his usual suit.
When they wanted his suit in the beginning, it was actually Hydra that wanted it .
The suitcase suit or Mark 5 doesn’t have as much armour due to it needing to be lighter so you can carry it
The one thing I love about Iron Man is when he has a problem with his suit he learns from it and fixes it. Here he gets hit with Whiplash's electric whips and it causes problems with his suit. In Avengers when Thor hits him with electricity from his hammer, Tony has fixed his suit so it absorbs the energy and recharges his suit.
I love whiplash, but he wasn't smart, I mean, he had the technology to create a ironman suit in the beginning of the movie, but for some reason he decided to create some whips
He may have not had to resources🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ he looked like he was in poverty and all the shit he mustard up was just enough for the whips. Who knows maybe I’m wrong
People who cannot spell "whiplash" and "mean" really have no business commenting on the smarts of others...
@@therealcosta1097 but why didn't he just create swords with that technology
@@danielcielak9228 idk he just had the whips on his mind ig
The reason War Machine's missile didn't work is that it was designed to be fired from a farther distance. It builds up speed and when it reaches a certain speed, it primes itself and will then explode on impact
LET 👏 PRIMATE 👏 CALL 👏 OTHER 👏 DUDES 👏 THICC👏 WITHOUT👏 THINKING 👏 ITS 👏 WEIRD👏 IN 👏 2021👏
Fun fact, the ex wife bullet needs to be charged up longer it it's activated form before firing.its power comes in when it penetrates the first layer
OMFG I just realized that the guy giving them medals at the end is a hydra agent in Civil War fucking geniuses at marvel
When you said "back when I was 12 or 13". I realized how much time has passed and how old I am😢take me back to the shitty cartoons, please!😭
The timeline of this movie is a few weeks after the first movie and the end of the movie happens at the middle of the incredible hulk and the 1st half of thor . Also the senator who won the Ironman suit was in Captain America the Winter soldier
The fact that Hammer can be charged with treason just makes it better
Around 11:38, that scene reminded me of another scene of the a movie called "Batman :Dark knigth Return" I recommend you to watch part 1 and 2 there both are goods movies and it's base of the comic book that the Batman v Superman movie was base off on. And it's animated so yea, recommend for you to watch.
The kid in the iron man helmet is confirmed to be young Peter Parker
9:52 I was so distracted by Scar Jo negotiating I didn’t even notice Elon
Haven't seen it in an Extremely long time? Way to make us feel old
Fun fact: the senator appears in The Winter Soldier as a Hydra agent who whispers Hail Hydra to Sitwell
This movie is sadly underated but at least I like it!
You should react to "the rock"
The briefcase turning into his suit is a reference to the Iron Man animated series.
That race track seen will forever stay in my memory
Damn, Primate I wanted to see your reaction to the donut shop scene and the “it taste like coconut and metal” 😂
They both wanted to destroy Tony, they just had different ways of going about it.
7:05
Glad to see my favorite 1st person shooter being mentioned.
“I haven’t heard that name in a long time” 😂
Sam Rockwell does not get enough credit for his Justin Hammer role. The dude is such a great actor, so funny, charming and a great professional as I've heard. I think at the pitching of weapons to the future War Machine he was given lines through the earpiece right at the spot, and had no time to prepare beforehand. If it's true he fucking Nailed it!
I like this reaction because it reminds me of watching a movie, and then a prequel comes out, and you get to see the origin of a character you love.
These movie reactions are very entertaining and interesting to watch keep it up 👍🏾
The dj at the party died and if you watch the credits it says the movie is dedicated to him
"I've successfully privatized world piece." Have you ever heard a scarier quote?
Growing himself a little stark beard how fitting
it has been a minute i gotta watch all the spider man play through for miles but its good to be back and tonys red and silver suit will always be my favorite
I loved all the Iron Man films. I just started my 1st official MCU Marathon last night and i recently finished all the way up to the middle of Guardians Of the Galaxy. I dont understand or see why people dislike the 2nd and 3rd iron man so much. I love how entertaining Justin Hammer is in this movie. He isnt as evil and cunning as other mcu villains but he was funny, entertaining and smart. I thought Whiplash was really well done. I loved the dark and intense vibes with his charecter and Mickey Rourke did a fantastic job acting it too. I dont know what people expect from Iron man flicks. Goofy, entertaining and action packed but not without its whitty flaws. The intense and dark shit came later. Me and you Primate are the real MVP fans.
Hey Primate, fun fact: The little kid than Tony saved from that drone was actually Tom Holland when he was 10 years old. I can assume you read that somewhere by now but in case you didnt know.....
There’s a lot going on in this movie, but it has more heart than people give it credit for, if you ask me anyway. Not to mention some badass fight scenes.
Noooo my compulsion to edit has cost me my heart lol
When War Machine hit Ivan with the X Wife missile and it didn’t do any damage to him I was like I knew she wasn’t shit🤣🤣🤣
Iron man 2 war machine is still my favorite looking war machine. And him fighting the drones with tony is still my favorite action scene with him
When there are too many of them, Master Skywalker
15:39
RIP Gary Shandling. Comedy great
As a car guy one of the things I couldn’t get by was the race sequence 😂
that scene of iron man and war machine vs the droids was awesome
17:16 That looked more powerful than anything that happened in Infinity War/Endgame
Hey what are all the marvel movies you haven’t seen?
Has he Seen X-Men and wolverine
@@Nevsehirli2006 OH YEAHHHH!!
Tony managed to foresee Thanos.
that hammer industries hanger is filmed at one of SpaceX facilities, explains the musk cameo lol
"Finally man" Dude that was reaction of all Marvel universe fandom
I recommend watching the MCU One Shot short films that take place between movies and tell you even more about the characters. Not many people know they exist but you can find them on RUclips.
The Incredible Hulk 2008...2nd film in the MCU..super underrated
Peter parkers real introduction into this mcu
Tony has always been my fav avenger
This movie does not deserve the hate it gets. Mine and my dad’s favorite out of the trilogy
Facts
Elon Musk donated the use of the Tesla Factory, and it was Hammer Industries.... that's why he was in the movie
6:40 is a joke about the recast
Super underrated MCU movie, in my opinion.
At least it's better than Thor the Dark World
Honestly, I would have eliminated Vanko altogether. We could have had Hammer be the mastermind and he could have had his own employees develop the arc reactor -- maybe by stealing the design from Tony. Hammer was simply a wilder, and more exciting, character.
Terrence Howard originally played roadie in the first iron Man then he was replaced by Don cheadle who did the episode of The fresh Prince of Bel-Air and was on the season of the show hanging with Mr Cooper
Black widow is a saving grace for this movie
7:30
Ligit what happens when someone tries to fuck with Tony😂😂🤣
Damn primate is on a journey he doesn’t know he walking into!! Ik he already watched endgame, but the mcu is so much more than endgame. Excited to see ur journey into one of the most amazing movie series!!
Mickey Rourke is awesome U should check out his other films especially his 80s films including Diner (1982), Rumble Fish (1983), The Pope of Greenwich Village (1983), 9 1/2 Weeks (1984), Year of The Dragon (1985), Angel Heart (1987), A Prayer for The Dying (1987), Barfly (1987), Homeboy (1988), Johnny Handsome (1989), Wild Orchid (1989), Desperate Hours (1990), Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man (1991), White Sands (1992), The Last Outlaw (1993), F.T.W The Last Ride (1994), Bullet (1996), The Rainmaker (1997), Double Team (1997), Buffalo 66' (1998), American Factory (2000), Get Carter (2000), The Pledge (2001), Spun (2002), Once Upon a Time In Mexico (2003), Man on Fire (2004), Sin City (2005), Domino (2005), The Wrestler (2008), Killshot (2008), The Informers (2009), The Expandables (2010), The Immortals (2011), Sin City: The Dame to Kill For (2014) and Ashby (2015) just to name a few.

Primate: AYEEEEE, MY MAN STAN LEE!
13:16 there look at tonys wrist u can see his arm its blue
Black Widow looks really good 😳
7:04 huzzahhh a man of quality
Elon Musk asked to be in it to give the permission to film 'Hammer Industries' at his factory!
The little kid he saves with a iron man helmet is Peter Parker byw
Theatrical Tony Stark was based upon Elon Musk. Why he made a cameo. Both out of the box geniuses that change technology and soon the world already. Retro thruster landing rockets baby. Mars here we come within a few years because of solely Elon/Tony Stark lol.
Black Widow (Scarlett) in this......oh...my...GAWD!! This is the ONE WOMAN I told my wife I'd let her have as a girlfriend, and my wife AGREES!! haha
Thank you for your reactions, they've been a great entertainment during my lockdown! I also would highly recommend the three episode show "And then there were none", with Aiden Turner, Charles Dance and Sam Neill (based on a novel by Agatha Christie). Also 300 with Gerald Butler!!
Hope you already noticed, but the actor for Happy directed both Iron Man and Iron Man 2.
