Andrew and Emma’s chemistry had me feeling awkward because they were so good together it felt too intimate to watch

@@jay-js2pb jake mentally abused Taylor, just watch the movie
@@gitalisharma9942 no that’s one side to the story
I actually appreciated that the MCU didn't give us a Spider-Man origin story because we already got to see that TWICE. We get it, he's an orphaned nerd who lives with his aunt and uncle that gets bitten by a radioactive spider and acts irresponsibly at first with his newfound powers but then learns the power of responsibility after Uncle Ben's death and becomes a superhero. I like that they realized this and just gave us a somewhat experienced Spider-Man in Civil War (he mentions in that movie that he's had his powers for 6 months at that point). It's my belief that if you make a new version of a character with an already established backstory in a prior work, then you don't need to go too deep into their origin story because we can just assume that they've been through the same thing.
Some peeps think the animated spidey series will go into his origin
Its all good in that except for the part when they changed Tom's Holland origin story
@@nebbia2453 Even with the events of No Way Home, I don’t really think it retcons anything in the MCU’s version of his origin.
Except that with mcu spider-man we can’t really assume what happened to him is same as all the others, since im not even sure if Ben Parker died, let alone turned Peter into Spider-Man
no one gave andrew garfield enough credit for how well he played in the movies IT STILL MAKES ME MAD TO THIS DAY

Exactly imo he had the best portrayal of Spider-Man. It’s just that the ASM 2 kinda messed up people’s perception of him
This is going to sound very creepy, but Gwen's falling/death scene is my favorite scene across all the Spider movies. It's just very beautifully shot, and the emotional pull it has...just. It just hits different.
It also does a great job of pulling the rug out from underneath you. Any other movie, the hero would catch and save her.
@@RB-vo4gi that’s why her death was so shocking in the comics too. you genuinely think he was going to save her 😞
yeah, I agree. I love Gwen Stacy and Andrew's version of Spider-Man is my favorite. Gwen is literally the best love interest, but still I love her death scene. it's beautifully shot, effects are out of this world and just sadness in that scene is too much to handle, but still...
it gives so much depth to the movie and character.
superhero movies are always so pg, but pg movies can be mature. Gwen's death just made TASM so much more mature.
at this point, I hope MJ dies too, we could explore more love interests in MCU, NWH will get more serious and Zendaya will have a chance to explore real cinema.
it's not creepy at all, it's a masterpiece of a scene that was so heartbreaking and different.
think that pull hit her different too
I think we can all agree that Emma Stones Gwen Stacy was the superior Spider-Man love interest in all the Spider-Man movies

Trin: "Whoever made this happen, count your days."
The man who originally wrote the arc of Gwen Stacy's death is Gerry Conway, age 69.
Trin is prepping to beat up a senior citizen.
yeah but gwen sucked when she originally died in the comics, she was hardly even a character. she was killed for the angst, but also to get her out of the way. which isn't great, but is a totally different motivation than why gwen died in the movie. she died just to imitate the comics. there were a million ways to have peter "learn about responsibility" without discarding his co lead like an object. you can say that being attached to her makes her death more "meaningful", but it's really just another example of one of the most boring and played out cliches being executed with no awareness of how times have changed, and how many people are completely *sick* of the "my girlfriend only exists to cauze me manpain" trope. taking the character in a different direction would've been, and was, completely welcome, especially with gwen's comic death being so iconic that was completely predictable. i remember these arguments when the movie came out and they still persist, which i think speaks to the fact that, as incredibly well acted and tragic as gwen's death was, killing her off was a pretty big mistake.
@@beatofromuminekorealnotcli4574 what would be an alternative way to have Peter fail and have him spiral, if not the "girlfriend in refrigerator" trope?

I will say in Tony’s defense he literally had an entire movie where he lost his suits and had to figure out how to get by on his own… which is why he tells that to Peter. And even without the suit he was still a child genius which followed into adulthood
!!
Yes. His trilogy showed how his character progressed especially Iron Man 3.
Exactly. Trin just hates on characters for no reason.
That’s what I was thinking. He said that to him bc Tony has already had to learn that he is the superhero with or without the iron man suit. He’s not being a hypocrite, he knows the danger of putting your superhero persona above who you are as a person. He wants Peter to be Spider-Man not bc he has a suit or powers, but bc he is intelligent, resourceful, has heart, and immense love for people. That’s the part that makes Peter the hero
And Holland always uses a self made suit in his big fights. Only exception were Avengers movies, but thats understandeable since he was fighting a demigod warlord from space, it would be dumb to use his basic suit in situation that dangerous.
i'm gonna make a controversial opinion and say that andrew and emma's chemistry is way better than the two other couples combined
yuhh agree, for the first 3 movies, it was kind of awkward? or weird idk how to say it. And for the newer ones, we didn't even get to see how they built their relationship like give us atleast something:)
is that controversial tho it its literally uncomparable
Agreed!!!!!! But at the same time Mj and Peter from the MCU have the awkward and relatable teenagers in love thing going on and it's straight up adorable imo. They're a close second for me.
That’s a true statement
@@ariyatabassumabdullah1143 thats so true as well!
the reason so many people didn't like andrew as spiderman is BECAUSE he's so fine! Peter Parker was meant to be the awkward nerdy kid that got bullied and in the garfield version he saves the kid that gets bullied. Just not the right energy for the spiderman pipeline of shy nerdy to confident hero
Except it's pulling inspiration from the more modern comic line of where Peter was just the loner outcast that gets bullied for being the quiet kid in class. And honestly with kids being far more accepting of nerdy things and letting people like what they like it makes perfect sense to not have him bullied just for being smart.
“in the garfield version”
Its okay, cause now we know they are just different multiverses and they were supposed to be different lol
@@LionWithAGun Peter Parker is supposed to be both nerdy and attractive tho.

right. exactly what i think, and now that all three are acknowledged as being spidermen in their own respective universe i think it actually helps not compare them, its not like 3 different separate versions by separate ppl fighting to have the best one, but 3 variants that exist simultaneously, and so you can enjoy all three simultaneously too
@@genesisfunes7551 yes definitely, im glad it gave andrew the recognition he deserved. and i think people have some appreciation for tom now too (although it was more of an issue with his plotline more than anything).

Fun fact: Doc Ock's claws were real props in Spiderman 2. They were controlled by puppeteers and they could manually open, close, and fully function. The only cgi with those claws is the cgi on side of the building fight and the hospital massacre.
it has really great CGI for a 18 yr old movie. it looks slightly dated, but still holds up fairly well today.
It helps that they used CGI as a tool, and not a necessity. Like the only time they used CGI were, like you said, most of the building fight scenes (hard to shoot with all that choreography), and the of the tentacle with the horror hospital scene.
Even Doc Ock's death scene drowning in the river was all CGI, his body and everything.
I honestly hate cgi today, everything just looks so fake. Puppeteers making things like that happen just look so much better on camera cause it's real

He built an iron man suit in a cave from some scraps after all. And we've seen Tony improvise when he didn't have access to the suit. Just do defend Tony a bit.
Thank you! As Tony is my ultimate fav MCU character I was a little triggered when Trin said that. I was like "have you seen Iron Man 3 which literally focuses on this theme?" He can say that to Peter because he lived through it himself and knows his worth with and without Iron Man.
@@ayya4559 He's my favorite too!! Yeah I was definitely thinking a lot of Iron Man 3. It definitely seems like Trin hasn't seen that one or maybe doesn't remember it.
@@edrk14 Right! And to everyone in the comments saying "Tony has no powers, if he gets shot without the suit he's just out of luck" Thanos literally stabbed him in the gut fatally and he survived. Like he figured out time travel, I think he can tend to a gun shot wound. And yes he ended up dying, but it was to save everyone else's sorry asses so the whole cocky argument was really lost on me as well. I love Trin I think she's hilarious, but the Tony slander was a bit much for me lol.
@@ayya4559 Well you could say the same thing about a lot of super heroes getting shot without their suit/armor. You could say that about Batman. And when have we ever seen Tony without some kind of gadget or plan for a situation like that? THAT'S his power! So to me that's not a valid argument. Intelligence IS a power haha.
@@edrk14 Period!
kinda random but the basketball/glass shattering scene in TASM reminds me of 17 again when zac stands up to the bully, anyone else?? same energy, so iconic, 10/10
trin being down bad for andrew garfield describes how all of us have been feeling for years and im so happy about it
Someone hasn’t watched all the MCU since Iron Man saying it “they’re nothing without the suit” directly parallels to what he has learned throughout his solo films 😶
Otto: *literally having a scientific breakthrough*
Trin: "I WANNA SEE IF THERE'S GREEN GOBLIN FAN-FICTION."
Highkey thought Toby was the guy that played Steve from Blues Clues for YEARS as a child so I was like extra into his Spider-Man
no no no trin youre right ive always felt like andrew's spiderman was the best. adrew played peter parker so well and it felt so natural and the movies were so enjoyable. i really looove how adrew played him he had that teenage to early twenties awkward charm and angst but still had funny quips and that cocky attitude at times like he's the embodiment of a cute nerd that gains superpowers and huge responsibilities and is trying to balance his love life and family life ontop of it all. also the chemistry between him and gwen was so good it felt so real and evoked real emotion out of the audience everyone knows that feeling they got during the clock tower scene
The whole point of "if you're nothing without the suit..." coming from Tony is that he isn't *nothing* without his suits. He's still a genius inventor and made the first iron man suit from nothing but scraps. Tony is more than his suit and that's what he's trying to teach Peter in that moment.
Time stamps for each movies:
Spiderman (Tobey Maguire) 0:12
Spiderman 2 (Tobey Maguire) 7:46
Spiderman 3 (Bully Maguire) 13:24
The Amazing Spiderman (Andrew Garfield) 18:59
The Amazing Spiderman 2 (Andrew Garfield) 31:13
Spiderman homecoming (Tommy Holland) 38:12
Spiderman far from home (Timmy Tom European Country) 45:02
The reason why the original trilogy and TASM1 were memorable, was because of the producer LAURA ZISKIN
It was because of her and her husband (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the movies had depth
She was the only one capable to tell AVI ARAD when to back off
Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of TASM1
Without her, there was no one to stop Arad from destroying the franchise
Spiderman was nothing without her
Tony’s superpower is his brain. It’s why the suit exists: He is something without the suit, he knows that, and Peter needed to know that too.
"The irony of him saying if you're nothing without this suit then you shouldn't have it. What do you have?" Tony: Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.
But really that's kinda the whole plot of Iron Man 3 is him basically getting over himself and the suits and the arc reactor he designed, and learning the lesson he's talking about here. I know you're just being funny, no hate here.
You’re so absolutely FERAL for Andrew Garfield. ❤️😅🤣😭 The romance and heartbreak in those movies felt too real. Which is why, Tom is my personal fave of the 3 because there’s a sense of joy. He’s clumsy and youthful.
And 🥰 ZENDAYA 🥰 she’s great as MJ.
let's be honest, the only reason trin decided to watch "all the spiderman movies" was to make that last joke about Jake with All Too Well and I respect that. That's dedicated as hell.
"Don't give me the horse thing! I don't want it!"
Michael Scott: That's NOT what she said.
When I saw she hadn’t gotten to Far from Home and the video was nearly done I KNEW she wasn’t gonna watch it for a certain reason 😂
I rewound it cuz all of a sudden the vid was done and I was like, "did I miss something"?
i 1000% agree with you on the high tech spiderman suit in the mcu!!! it's one of the reasons i DESPISE the iron spider suit and wish it would just disappear from the movies (but alas, it's also gonna be in no way home even tho peter designed his own suit at the end of the last movie)
I don’t like that people hate on the iron spider suit , it’s not like Peter is always using it we’ve seen him use it like twice & it the trailer we see more of the blue and red suit more than the iron suit. (Plus I feel like that’s the whole point of this universe, high tech stuff being involved in the hero’s lives)
I am so glad people are finally speaking out about loving andrew garfields spiderman because it is making 13 year old me feel valid
Same here!
I was almost not gonna get into this because I had a feeling Trin wasn't gonna take Tobey's acting seriously, he cries the most authentically compared to how other movies just tell their actresses to "Cry Prettier" (btw an actual Quote from a director towards Jessica Freaking Alba)
Right. She is so into the ugly crying 😂
That's so shallow. How do you cry handsomely for horrible reasons? that is so FAKE 😂
And she mentions things as if she doesn't know the movie is from 2000's
andrew garfield’s spider-man is what hardin WISHES he was
if they’d cast andrew garfield in after it could’ve been something amazing
Trin you CANNOT disrespect Tony Stark like that😭😭
I think it's important for Tony to say if he's nothing without the suit then he doesn't deserve it bc the third Iron Man movie is showing Tony's whole Arc of feeling exactly like that and then getting over his fears and insecurities (poor dude is suffering from anxiety attacks and PTSD bc of how small he feels compared to the universe and proof of super advanced aliens and feels scared of not being able to protect ppl). I feel like ppl forget how incredibly smart Tony is. The advancements they hint to him making in the movies is pretty incredible. Just like Peter IS Spider-Man without the suit, Tony IS Iron Man. No one can replicate what Tony can do in terms of the inventions he makes and his quick thinking. I like that Tony was a mentor bc he's really grown over the 10 years and really encourages the best in kids like Peter.
Natasha doesn't have any superpowers but she still proves herself to be useful in many ways regardless. I think it's important to have heros like Natasha and Tony that don't have superpowers bc it reminds ppl they can achieve greatness too.
I feel like Tom Holland's Spiderman movies are more about his relationship with Tony than it is about Peter Parker finding things out for himself
Yeah like the first one was him wanting to be like Tony. The second one is him coping without Tony and now the third one is going to be about him ???
I take back what I said bc I saw no way home
This might be the best video ever made i was physically gasping from laughter when all too well started playing
Trin literally just says what everyone is thinking and i love that about her
I fucking choked on my saliva when you said "I'm gasping for air, I hope they have sex"
You're completely derranged, I love this channel so much
Please don't swear God wouldn't like that there are children here May God bless you and your family and help you Give your life to Jesus Christ and repent. I pray that God will lead on the path to Jesus Christ and send the Holy Spirit to be your helper. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray Amen! Jesus Christ loves you. Give your life to Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness for ALL OF YOUR SINS. Even the ones committed in the past and repent. He’s coming soon. Please pray and repent.
Trin doing the live action Spider-Man/Aaron and Jo covering Into the Spider-Verse.
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
I love Trin but the Tobey Maguire slander broke my heart 😭
IM SORRY IM AN ANDREW GARFIELD WHORE
Raimi spiderman>Everything else
He cemented the genre here to stay. Now anyone can blart out a super hero film. The cringe of the latest spiderman having to grab characters from the og universe. Also Andrew who? 2 mediocre movies and he was shelved. The only reason Andrew even got the chance is because Sony destroyed it's working relationship with Raimi and Tobey refused to go on without him. Spiderman 4 was going to be made.
@@HonkeyKong54 lmao, I get that tobey's Spiderman will forever be the best because of nostalgia and it being the first live action, but Andrew's Spiderman is just a guilty pleasure of mine lol. But that's just my opinion !
@@jadawarren4602 nostalgia has nothing to do with it they're better movies.
Exactly
Your reaction to Andrew saving MJ in the new movie must've been so emotional! I almost cried at that point ngl
honestly Andrew and Emma had the best romantic chemistry of all the Spidey couples... genuinely didn't care much for Peter+Mary Jane, and Peter and MJ (Michelle) have good bants and their move from friends to a couple was simple and cute, but Andrew and Emma were fire from their first interaction...
Also Andrew!Peter coming home after getting absolutely beat up with the carton of eggs he promised to buy Aunt May is the most raw moment bc he just got done idk duking it out with lizard man, and it's such a grounding moment that he's still this teenager and normal person.. that ordinariness and "friendly neighbourhood" vibe does really does get lost with all the high tech suits of MCU!Peter (tho I do think as a whole, Tom Holland balances the quirky dork/nerd Peter with the wise-cracking sarcastic Spidey the best)
Watching Trin gush over Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker 😭 because same. Literally, everything you said was correct
BYE THIS WHOLE COMMENTARY VIDEO IS KILLING ME 😭😭😭😭 you never miss with your jokes istg
The first half: "OMG why do we hate Toby Maguire??"
Spiderman 3: ~kills all Toby vibes~
Second half:~ Andrew Garfield walks in~ "I'm In LOVE!"
The PoV comment about Andrew Garfield and you "doing homework" made gut laugh so damn much.
Where did you hear people shitting on Spider-Man 2? You’re probably thinking of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 that everyone shits on
