The sad thing about the thing with Brandi (London's stepmom) is that Suite Life on Deck basically confirmed she and Mr. Tipton divorced, proving London right
Yeah, I feel like Suite Life had so many one-off episodes that they never cared to expand on which is really unfortunate. Like, it would've been nice for Brandi to actually stick around and be a mother figure to London every now and then. There's also the Volleydad episode where Carey was going to marry a rich guy, and it would've been nice if they had continued that storyline because there's absolutely no reason why they should've stopped dating just because she wasn't ready for marriage. And don't even get me started on the fact that they wasted Maddie's appearance on Deck on a goofy storyline with a young prince instead of having her fulfill her promise to go with Zack to his prom. I will never forgive the writers for that. It's also unfortunate that they neglected giving London and Maddie long-term love interests aside from Lance, since most of their one-off relationships never ended on bad terms by the end of the episode, yet it seems like those relationships never happened once we got to the next episode. Suite Life is still an amazing show nonetheless, but I really do feel like Suite Life played it safe too much with some of the storylines that could've changed the direction of the show in a positive way.
Oh London was right. She never stood a chance of being wrong, she knows her dad, and he isn't changing. The point is that Brandi tried and it was nice of her, and London was just being a dick when obviously it wasn't Brandi's fault, and as far as she knew London was going to be part of her life. So London was right, but Mosby was more right.
@@giovannigiovanni.7220 “you’re dad and I may not have worked out, but I don’t want to be just another addition to your charm bracelet. I don’t want to miss out on the wonderful woman you’re becoming, and I’d love to be another pillar of support for you, even if I’m just a friend you reach out to when you want advice or need a shopping buddy.” That’s the kind of love and support London needs 💜 She gets it from Mosby, but sometimes Mosby’s hands are tied with the position he is in being a highly regarded employee of Mr.Tipton.
@@craigyeah1052 she was still very right tho cuz Brandi was crossing the line. She’s trying to mother a girl of a man whom she just married. She doesn’t have the right to mother London that way. If you do a retrospective of Suite Life on Deck, PLEASE bring up the injustice of Woody not being in the title sequence!! I always thought of him as a “main” character, but he never gets a title sequence slot. Even Marcus (who’s role left just as fast as it came) got a title sequence spot!! It’s been years and I’m STILL upset.
the super sweet gesture of giving your sister her lost game followed by playing a foghorn sound over a pregnant picture of her gave me such emotional whiplash
As an archivist and historian within Boston I can attest that Boston has deep rooted black history that is only recently being given the attention it deserves and having a light shine on it. The fact this series has an episode that respectfully touches on some of these issues with black erasure in history, is fascinating to see. Thanks for the video!
I really liked how they had a split family and had a non traditional childhood, cause it was one of the first live actions shows I ever watched and I appreciate the diversity of relationships.
2:30:40 - My favorite thing about that Hannah Montana "Kids like you" segment is them pretending that Jason Earles wasn't a full grown 30 year old man 🤣😂
As a black personality that episode of Zack and Cody stuck with me as one of the first times being black and what that means historically was explored on a tv show aimed for kids. In my book that’s a W for the show.
1:44:42 I will never forget that the Z&C DS game is SO bad, that Cole Sprouse once tweeted "the best way to beat that game is to eject it and physically destroy it."
I love how HSM exists in this universe and every actor that's guest starred who played a part in it just happens to have a celebrity look-alike in the world
Wizards of Waverly Place exists in the same universe. Plus, Selena also played Mikalya on Hannah Montana which is also in this universe. And the character she played on Suite Life means she has 3 doppelgängers.
Let’s goooo. Love your channel. I’ve been attempting to keep myself sober so your videos help get my mind off things. Your sense of humor is refreshing.
Pretty sure the Mr. Moseby getting an autograph 'for his niece' joke was supposed to be that he actually wanted to get the autographs for himself, but didn't want to admit that he wanted them.
2:49:47 antarctica could actually be a very good place for tanning. The reason tanning happens is because your skin is trying to protect itself against the sun, and clear days with snow on the ground are actually where you get the most UV radiation, because you're being hit by the sunlight directly hitting you, and reflecting off of the snow, which is why it's really important to wear sunscreen especially on snowy days.
2:21:26 Its incredible how well the actor expressed every single thought that happened back to back upon learning that Zack had cloned his master room key.
Fun fact: Robert Torti (the guy who plays Kurt) was on Broadway for the 1987 production of Starlight Express, that musical about the trains where all the actors were on roller skates and they built that giant roller derby race course. He originated the role of Greaseball for Broadway and got nominated for a Tony. I think that’s kind of a funny coincidence for that one episode of Suite Life on Deck where they have Kurt and Carey do a performance together and he’s dressed as a shopping cart and on roller skates for it.
I watched that episodes years before I learned that he was in Starlight Express and it was such a lightbulb “ooooohhhhhh” moment when I put it together that that’s what they were parodying
i used to sleep walk as a kid, one of the things my parents said i did a lot and i even woke up in the middle of is just walking up and down the stairs repeatedly
Realizing Estabon is only in less than half of all the episodes of Suite Life is incredibly wild. I swear I remember him being a way more prominent character.
it kinda just goes to show how some of these characters stole the show and some are very forgettable. Nia, Skippy, and the nervous girl are throwaways while Esteban, Arwin, and Muriel are stars!
@@Thed538dhsk nah i strongly remember watching season 3 and i remember Nia and the nervous girl but they don’t have one memorable scene. you remember their characters but can never say “oh they had that really funny scene”
3:03:08 hey wait a minute! Gravity Falls was famously told to censor a spin the bottle reference by Disney S&P, and Alex Hirsh said he was looking through other Disney channel sitcoms trying to find another reference to it to refute them. Well he clearly didn't look in the right places, because there's one in Zack & Cody!
I have to say the dancing episode was because Esteban was on dancing with the stars which is on ABC, which is connected to Disney. All those guest stars were early dancing with the stars professionals pretty sure they had it as the background scene of the reality show and I I think I remember a commercial of them going behind the scenes for Disney.
Selena Gomez admitted that she actually had a huge crush on Cole Sprouse and was super disappointed that she was told to kiss his brother instead of him.
1:30:12 when Esteban gets married in The Suite Life on Deck, Cody mentions getting Guinea pigs for the reception and my Peruvian mother has told me about her relatives eating it while in Peru. So I like that his Peruvian storyline is carried on into the later series.
With London being in the same grade as Zack and Cody in Suite Life on Deck. It can easily be assumed that due to London being being dumber than a stack of bricks, plus the mention of her constantly skipping school, and getting kicked out of every private school in Boston, she got held back several times.
It’s crazy that people actually shipped London with any of the younger characters on the show cuz she’s clearly mentally declining and is at most in her early 20s by the final season.
Isn’t she supposed to be the relatively same age as Maddie, who is just 3yrs older than the twins? No one bats an eye when Maddie was crushing on someone 3yrs older than her, she was actually encouraged to go for it. Idk it’s always hard to say with TV/Movie relationships because the actors tend to be older than the characters they depict, and Brenda Song was definitely older than London was supposed to be. 12yr old and 15yr old is inappropriate, but 16yr old and 19yr old isn’t *as* bad depending on the people and their maturity. A 3yr age gap in teen-young adult relationships isn’t uncommon. This is not me saying I ship London with any younger characters, I didn’t really watch Suite Life On Deck so I have no idea how she interacted with other characters or how old she and other characters appeared. I honestly think it’s weird they kind of shoe horned her character into the spin-off that way. They could have given her some character growth and had her learning more about the Tipton businesses, finally coming to terms with that fact that she needs to start taking some responsibility and learning to support herself to an extent. And the boys could help her execute some unorthodox ideas to promote business she has that may or may not work out.
@@katc2040 the episode I’m referring to clearly states that there is a 3yr age difference between Zack and Maddie, and a 3yr age difference between Maddie and the boy she has a crush on. That is why Zack thinks Maddie is talking about him when he overhears Maddie talking to the boys’ mom about her crush. We see London getting her driver’s permit during the series, confirming she is a similar age to Maddie.
This video made me actually curious on if Kumiko Mori was actually someone popular in Japan only to find out she did some stuff for the Pokemon movies back in the days. Honestly such a weird pick for a guest star.
The episode where Zack and Cody turn into superheroes has always been a personal favorite of mine! It shows how silly and goofy the comedy and characters are.
Same still to this day one of my favs eps. I rewatched last year and was surprised it still holds up well. It's a great character ep playing with a campy 1950's classic superhero plot. But shows how great characters and surprisingly great comedic writing for a show expected to be watched by only a few hundred thousand children. Watching how much talent and comedic chops are put in children's content is great. Kids deserve great content too
I remember it took me so long to get the Brain Man joke when Arwin "The Engineer" called out that Cody's superhero initials were BM and why Cody got all embarrassed.
@giovanniorellana2200 BM also stands for "bowel movement", which is another word for poop. So it was basically just a poop joke that went over our heads
Carey teaching zack and cody life lessons by telling them stories of her past boyfriends was weird and cool at the same time you can tell kim Rhodes does an excellent job portraying a stereotypical loving mom
the woman in charge of the SS Tipton in that episode is Nicole Sullivan, who voiced Shego in Kim Possible and Marlene in Penguins of Madagascar. (and like a billion other things) I think I remember being confused she wasn't in Suite Life on Deck
Oh, I’m surprised I didn’t even catch that! I’m literally making a Penguins of Madagascar video *right now* where I mention and show her several times.
@@KeyanCarlile very nice!! a bunch of people who worked on kim possible went to work on penguins of madagascar too. the main producers and a few voice actors. pretty neat
Something about these intense retrospectives always makes me feel like I just finished a Lord of the Rings level journey, saying goodbye to old friends.
Re: “Is that a normal interaction for divorced parents” between Carey and Kurt - I think the answer is yes. A lot of divorced co parents still consider one another partners in parenting and greet one another in familiar ways. I’ve seen exes greet with cheek kisses like that, it’s like a family thing.
I’d argue that Millicent has one important line-in the team building episode when she does an impression of Nia and says “I’m Nina and I’ll crush you like a grape!” Which has lived in my head rent free since I was 6
2:37:35 that’s actually Kay Panabaker, Danielle’s sister who stopped acting and is a zoologist having finished school at a young age because she’s a genius.
@@ar.iaofficial back in the day when I watched Read it and Weep I used to think they were the same actress playing two different characters (because Kay's character is basically Danielle's alter ego, for anyone who hasn't seen Read it and Weep so it would have made sense to cast the same actress for both roles, but she also looked slighly older and more mature)
14:53 Getting vibe checked by hearing "Zoboomafoo" used as a verb on a Zack & Cody retrospective was the last thing I expected on a Zack & Cody retrospective
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe there’s a thing in which Disney’s actors didn’t get paid fully until like 3/4 seasons of a show. So that’s why every one of these shows’ title changes to something new (I.e. bionic island).
I think the reason was that their contracts were always for 3 seasons (because of the law or something like that, or because of network regulations or because they were children) and when their show was successful and the network wanted to renew they had to get new contracts, in which they'd have to get paid more because the show is successful/it's been airing for a while and they're entitled to more pay/popular etc. But if the network renewed the show under a new name and had it be basically the same show with the cast playing the same characters, just under a different showname, they could get away with paying them more because they'd say "see guys you're staring in a completely new show and we can't afford to pay you as much"
I just realised Moesby has a history with dancing, mini golf, cycling, croquet, badminton, basketball and cheerleading, all of which are technically sports Mr. Moesby was a jock
Gotta say, the humor in the disability episode was right on the spot. Im disabled myself and these are the kind of weird uncomfortable moments that just to for great jokes. Man, Zack and Cody sure has some of the best humor, i dont remember it being this good tbh :D
2:29:20 The second girl who slaps Cody is actually Rani Rodriguez AKA Trish from Austin & Ally, another Disney show. I'm really suprised Keyan didn't recognize her 💀
1:09:15 "Wheelchair-user" is generally the preferred term. Most wheelchair users generally dislike the phrase "wheelchair-bound" as it implies it as a negative thing. In reality, wheelchairs are a hugely important aid that allow people to move around and live more fulfilling lives when they otherwise might be unable to.
my favorite part of the video is where keyan covers the episode nugget of history for three hours straight. there really was a lot to dive into with that one.
3:18 love that he says “nothing of note has really happened. cody ate a hot dog..” meanwhile i’ve spent the majority of my life at this point occasionally getting “NUMBER 8! NUMBER 8!” from the hot dog moment stuck in my head
Before they greenlit The Suite Life on Deck, Disney Channel actually experimented with giving Arwin his own spin off. It would have been about him moving in with his sister and niece, played by Selena Gomez. You can actually find clips of the pilot online.
2:05:15. Honestly I'd say Arwin telling Zack not to talk to him before walking off is mature. If he were being immature he'd tell Zack off for screwing him over. Instead he takes the blame for something that isn't his fault and, rightfully upset tells Zack to leave him alone before walking off.
3:50:01 Oh god I remember that episode. Isn't that the episode where Zack and Cody have to be bald for some reason, and at the end one of them mentions that they're wearing bald caps and the other one is like "what do you mean...?" followed by a laugh track, implying he just shaved his head for real? Hilarious.
You know, as you were describing the plot of the bug episode, I was thinking about Esteban helping Zack and Cody catch the bugs, then thought, "Wait, no. I distinctly remember Esteban being part of the employee seminar. Was it Arwin?" And then you mentioned Skippy, and how seemingly everybody forgets him and his role in this episode. That's pretty much true - I remember the vast majority of what you've shown in these videos, but my memory of Skippy is limited to my brain drawing a correlation between this show and the name Skippy, but I couldn't tell you anything about his character.
I think this theory is genuinely true and its actually easy to see why. Skippy is a late season add-on and forgettable character, and the scene in question is in the dark where you mostly just see their silhouettes. Your brain might remember the episode, but it wont remember Skippy. So it just autofills in with Arwin or Esteban cause theyre the memorable male hotel staff that assist Zack and Cody throughout the series. This scene would absolutely have been Arwin or Esteban in an earlier season, it feels like Skippy mostly exists in general just to have hotel staff when Esteban and Arwins actors werent available
Skippy walked so Bailey could run. I believe that Skippy's character was the precursor to Bailey on the suite life on deck, they needed that touch of southern charm but it didnt work out with skippy
Im a little upset Floss: The Musical didnt get a mention, the song has been stuck in my head for years. But seriously this is another great one keep it up!
Mr. Moseby saying "I just said Fortnite" is so accidentally prophetic it scares me, could've passed as an AI voice-meme today, Simpsons take notes 3:08:11
1:26:41 I'm starting to understand why Disney was always accusing Dan Schneider of stealing jokes and plots from their shows to put into his, because the whole "Maddie and London are stunt doubles" thing is nearly identical to a gag in Victorious where Tori "i think we all sing" Vega accidentally gets herself cast as a stunt double. She has to do a stunt fall from a high balcony and the set looks nearly identical to the one in Z&C, and they even make the same joke about there being a blood stain on the ground from precious stunt actors. Victorious did the gag about 4 years after Z&C.
Ironically Nickelodeon did a spoof on Sonny with a Chance as they saw it as an iCarly ripoff when in reality I think that's where they got the idea for Victorious as those shows are much more similar to each other
Also the blood stain joke seemed to be on the same set where an actual stunt actor was heavily injured in real life in iCarly when gibby jumps off a ladder
@@aceproductions43 One of the producers for Sonny with a Chance was actually Brian Robbins, who co-created All That and was a frequent collaborator with Dan Schneider. He’s now the CEO and President of Paramount and Nickelodeon.

This retrospective was a lot of fun. Which RUclipsrs like you, Quinton Reviews, and switch1e doing long ass retrospectives of childhood shows, I was waiting for someone to do Suite Life. I look forward to the Suite Life on Deck video.
I think "Volley Dad" could be a VERY loose pun on "Valley Girl"; a movie about a girl having to choose between a punk guy or a rich guy (ie: the twins' dad vs. the guy who wants to propose) + volleyball b-plot i guess just so they could do the pun
I'm glad Maddie is in the finale and that Muriel is back for the finale. I think I may have seen that episode but didn't know it was the finale. I think the continuity errors in it are forgivable. the characters probably just have bad memory
i’m pretty sure if those 3 positive message episodes were released today people would immediately say it’s "too woke" and complain about suite life trying to push an "sjw agenda"
You kept calling Chris Brown Chris Rock and it had me rolling. Chris Rock must be thinking "damn did Keyan really get me confused with this lightskin guy".
3:31:10 I honestly really love this back and forth between the boys. It just flows so well and I would've loved to see it go on for longer. This episode had a lot of interesting pieces to it, like the poetic send off to the vent *insert Among Us vent noise* and Carrie kind of at her limit with the boys. There's a lot of jokes here about how Carrie has grown less and less fond of the twins and getting angrier at their exploits but imagine for a second you are the constant caregiver of *Zack and Cody Martin.* These two kids cause daily chaos at the place you work, putting your parenting skills into question as you constantly try to discipline them them and give them life lessons only for them to continually make the same mistakes each time and (as seen with the wedding they crashed) show little remorse for their actions. I too would probably ground them till the heat death of the universe.
Also at this point in the show they are too old to be doing this kind of stuff. I know on deck still has them causing trouble but it's not to the same degree and by that point it's more blatantly clear that zack is more of the trouble maker than cody
Idk feels out of character for her imo. Maybe the writers were going for an arc of her going from good cop to bad cop and mosby going from bad cop to good cop over seasons but it felt off imo. The whole 3rd season feels off imo. Like the writers were growing bored of the hotel or just didn't know what more could be done with the kids aging up. In concept I do like On Deck as the hotel seemed unable to support the setting of the writers ideas anymore. But I still feel Carrie especially got short end of the stick
I think the reason it flows well is that rather than doing the usual sitcom pauses to emphasize the jokes, they're just talking and it actually sounds somewhat real. Still scripted, but natural. Not sure why that one specific back-and-forth was done that way but it is pretty great
With London’s closet, I always believed that London just decided to turn one suite on each floor into a closet. She did the same thing on Suite Life on Deck too, but she got in trouble for it lol.
The wheelchair episode had my DYING. This is the comedy my family always made and shows some fun natural dialogue that wheelchair users legit deal with DAILY. Whilst having Nathan portraying a wheelchair user is a bit iffy, I like that all the kids donned sports chairs to play against the other team. One of my biggest fears as a kid was my disability making me wheelchair bound (eventually happened at 17) and I wish I knew about this episode as a kid. Seeing the main characters try out a wheelchair sport and everything feeling like business as usual would have been so beneficial to me.
Suite Life is a sitcom where the main cast is comprised of so many intelligent, comedic actors. It’s one thing to have a great script but it’s another to cast an actor whose portrayal of a character transcends the writing. Like, Phil Lewis’ impeccable performance as Mr. Moseby has yet to be matched by any other Disney Channel actor following his departure. Lewis’ performance is so good that people conveniently bypass his DUI conviction. It’s almost as if… criminals are humans just like us who make mistakes and the have potential to contribute something meaningful to the world?
I’m sure Isabel (the woman who died thanks to his DUI) could’ve also contributed something meaningful to the world had her life not been taken by that cute little mistake.
@BC33714 No one is acting like it was a cute little mistake. Drinking and driving is abhorrent behavior, but you're not going to help anyone by denying that the man served his sentence and bettered himself from it. Rehabilitation should be respected.
@@A.M.intheAMExactly. He was 24, it was 1991 and he served prison time for it. It's not like he got off for it and then acted like he did nothing like some celebrities do after vehicular homicide (Caitlyn Jenner for example)
I have to say as someone who has worked in education, lots of teachers would google the people their students write about. Some teachers might google it, confirm the accuracy and move on, but because of the way history is approached and how "political" social studies can be, it's sad but some teachers would fail it for one of two reasons "doesn't care enough to confirm, has a baseline view of black history and doesn't care enough to know more" and "this was great but this information clashes with our standards, best not to encourage this" I had an "invisible history" method where I explained some parts of history are invisible in school, we talk about them but remember the people writing the important test don't know about it, so you have to pretend not to know it either
oh my godddd i remember filling out test sheets with inaccurate information and being so pissed that i had to bend to my education systems lack of education.
Yeah the main thing I do to differentiate it is remember 2 scenarios. Scenario one is one character saying they and their friends would make a good TV cast with one of the friends going "who would watch a show about us". Scenario 2 features the exact same thing but after the last line they slowly turn to the audience before continuing, maybe one of them say "ignore that part". One is just poking fun at the show while the other is a somewhat direct interaction between them and the audience.
2:35:10 I did some research after being the only one wondering the same thing as you. Here's what I found: "Some people believe it means, gay and proud. No, that's the GAP - gay and proud. Hitting your fist on your heart twice and then making the peace sign is generally considered a black (or African American for those pc people) sign for peace out, I love you. It's actually a bastardization of American sign language meaning I give you my heart and peace." Urban Dictionary says: "The action of pounding the left portion of you chest twice with your right hand, and then flashing the peace sign with the same hand in order to express exuberation." I think the GAP explanation makes sense, especially since Moseby "landed on his A." It's basically a queer joke. PS: Include the explanation on your next intermission!

Fun fact: Zack and Cody's dad got his big break as the lead of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express. And considering how many injuries there were during that show's run, his career wasn't the only thing that broke big.
He also played the Pharoah in the 1999 filmed version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Which starred Donny Osmond as Joseph, and Richard Attenbourogh (the grandpa from Jurassic Park) as Jacob
3:08:32 what are you talking about keyan, that is the proper line LOL, "how do you know its not real, and all this is just a game" he clearly means, how do you know the game isn't real, and real life is just a game, because hes clearly waving to his surroundings, "and all this isn't just a game" doesn't work
btw, while suite life on deck does get "crazy" like you mentioned, both examples used when you say that are not exactly the best examples (spoilers for a few of the episodes), one is a star trek parody but in the end it turns out it was just zack telling an excuse to the teacher on why he couldn't deliver an assignment (if i remember correctly he even gets a pass because he made the teacher and robo moseby date in the story), the other one was a hansel and gretel story that was just a dream by one of the students during the teachers class (we also see in the same episode the jack and the bean stalk (i remember because london was the golden goose) and if i'm not mistaken the 3 little pigs story), again there's certainly a high amount of "crazy" that happens in the show (the bermuda triangle episode that makes an alternative universe and the one with the cursed queen come to mind, and there's also the movie) but those 2 examples that were given in the video are like most times in this show just "a dream" or a story. great video though, just a little nitpick. (also i remember way too much from a 13yo show which i haven't even watched since it first aired)
You know I really appreciate them showing parents not together and a "struggling" mom. It's my life rn 😂 cant believe I grew up to become Carrie Martin
Before you finish your Suite Life on Deck video, I should let you know they had a crossover with I'm in the Band. The episode is not listed under Suite Life's episode list, but instead on I'm in the Band's. It's easy to miss for that reason.
But it still makes no sense. The “dad” the title references is Zack and Cody’s dad, but Zack and Cody don’t play volleyball in this episode. They’re not on the volleyball team therefore their dad can’t be a “Volleydad.” It makes no sense.

The point is that Brandi tried and it was nice of her, and London was just being a dick when obviously it wasn't Brandi's fault, and as far as she knew London was going to be part of her life. As an archivist and historian within Boston I can attest that Boston has deep rooted black history that is only recently being given the attention it deserves and having a light shine on it. The fact this series has an episode that respectfully touches on some of these issues with black erasure in history, is fascinating to see. Thanks for the video!

Also, wear sunglasses, and plenty of car accidents happen due to the sun reflecting on the snow
2:21:26 Its incredible how well the actor expressed every single thought that happened back to back upon learning that Zack had cloned his master room key.
Phil Lewis was the king of facial expressions on this show. Genuinely the peak of sitcom acting

Realizing Estabon is only in less than half of all the episodes of Suite Life is incredibly wild. I swear I remember him being a way more prominent character.

@MaryLoveJane well Maddy is 16 vs the boys who were 12-13.
@@katc2040 the episode I’m referring to clearly states that there is a 3yr age difference between Zack and Maddie, and a 3yr age difference between Maddie and the boy she has a crush on. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe there’s a thing in which Disney’s actors didn’t get paid fully until like 3/4 seasons of a show. So that’s why every one of these shows’ title changes to something new (I.e. bionic island).
I think it was that they didn't want to raise the actors pay with a 4th season, so they made the spin offs so the pay could stay relatively the same
I remember Hannah Montana and Liv & Maddie changing their titles too for their fourth seasons.
But if the network renewed the show under a new name and had it be basically the same show with the cast playing the same characters, just under a different showname, they could get away with paying them more because they'd say "see guys you're staring in a completely new show and we can't afford to pay you as much"
David and Jennifer talk about that in their wizards of waverly place podcast
Is that why Sonny with a Chance became So Random? Or is that because Demi left?

Before they greenlit The Suite Life on Deck, Disney Channel actually experimented with giving Arwin his own spin off.
It would have been about him moving in with his sister and niece, played by Selena Gomez.
You can actually find clips of the pilot online.
I'm so glad they didn't go along with this one. I always found Arwin annoying.
2:05:15. Honestly I'd say Arwin telling Zack not to talk to him before walking off is mature. If he were being immature he'd tell Zack off for screwing him over. Instead he takes the blame for something that isn't his fault and, rightfully upset tells Zack to leave him alone before walking off.
Yeah, that definitely felt like a mature way to handle that situation.
Plus Zack was like a Mordecai and Rigby level of lazy, so it’s fair for Arwin to assume Zack just doesn’t care
Hilarious.
"If you don't got time to caramelize, pulverize" was a line I never forgot to this day
You know, as you were describing the plot of the bug episode, I was thinking about Esteban helping Zack and Cody catch the bugs, then thought, "Wait, no.

Oh really? I did not know that.
You know I remember watching that and it reminded me of the z&c plot. Especially the dry blood bit.
Ironically Nickelodeon did a spoof on Sonny with a Chance as they saw it as an iCarly ripoff when in reality I think that's where they got the idea for Victorious as those shows are much more similar to each other

13:02 it’s so funny when you bring the Cody and Bailey break up, it caught me off guard in your Wizards of Waverly Place review
I don't think Zack being the one to go over Carrie's contract is all that out of character, previous episodes have shown he has a head for business.
“Afro, Fade, Jheri Curl” still lives in my head rent-free.

Here's what I found:
"Some people believe it means, gay and proud. No, that's the GAP - gay and proud. Hitting your fist on your heart twice and then making the peace sign is generally considered a black (or African American for those pc people) sign for peace out, I love you. It's actually a bastardization of American sign language meaning I give you my heart and peace."
Urban Dictionary says: "The action of pounding the left portion of you chest twice with your right hand, and then flashing the peace sign with the same hand in order to express exuberation."
I think the GAP explanation makes sense, especially since Moseby "landed on his A." It's basically a queer joke.
PS: Include the explanation on your next intermission!
10:00 honestly I do like their improv/mirroring. Feels authentic and like teens trying to do the exercise. Also prob was a fun or cool acting exercise on set. Also i like how the twins do the worst at mirroring, nice irony
The nerve of Keyan calling the Queen that is Daniella Monet "Victorious girl"
We Stan Trina
She got typecasted as the "mean girl" a lot. She played basically the same character in Zoey 101.
ive watched this and your other suit life videos at least 4 times at this point. I love your videos and truly hope you continue making content.

It's probably because I'm really tired, but why is this line so funny; I laughed for like 5 minutes straight
That clip of Jason Earles who plays Jackson from Hannah Montana, talking about girls in the same way that all the 13-15 yrs old kids are, except he's a 27 yr old man 😵💫
2:37:30 - God I hate to correct a genius but that is actually Kay Panabaker, Danielle’s younger sister who retired from acting before The CW could steal her life force
He was in The Back Up Plan too, only recognized him from here when I was younger
It's insane that the one A-list celebrity Special Guest star is fucking Chris Brown
Respect Tony hawk
3:08:32 what are you talking about keyan, that is the proper line LOL, "how do you know its not real, and all this is just a game" he clearly means, how do you know the game isn't real, and real life is just a game, because hes clearly waving to his surroundings, "and all this isn't just a game" doesn't work
I concur
exactly what I thought
btw, while suite life on deck does get "crazy" like you mentioned, both examples used when you say that are not exactly the best examples (spoilers for a few of the episodes), one is a star trek parody but in the end it turns out it was just zack telling an excuse to the teacher on why he couldn't deliver an assignment (if i remember correctly he even gets a pass because he made the teacher and robo moseby date in the story), the other one was a hansel and gretel story that was just a dream by one of the students during the teachers class (we also see in the same episode the jack and the bean stalk (i remember because london was the golden goose) and if i'm not mistaken the 3 little pigs story), again there's certainly a high amount of "crazy" that happens in the show (the bermuda triangle episode that makes an alternative universe and the one with the cursed queen come to mind, and there's also the movie) but those 2 examples that were given in the video are like most times in this show just "a dream" or a story.
great video though, just a little nitpick.
Because it's an I'm In The Band episode, not On Deck but I still would love him to review it anyway
@@francyflynn Looks like we got what we wanted. He reviewed the episode in the On Deck video.
I’m 100% sure ‘Volleydad’ is a reference to a ‘soccermom’
But it still makes no sense. The “dad” the title references is Zack and Cody’s dad, but Zack and Cody don’t play volleyball in this episode. They’re not on the volleyball team therefore their dad can’t be a “Volleydad.” It makes no sense.
"Soccer Mom" is usually two words, isn't it?
3:28:02 Daniella Monet pre victorious
Since Jason earl was like 30 during Hannah Montana. That clip of him saying he doesn’t get girls is way funnier.
He was also married lmao
