This week Seth made a joke using the term "annuity" and tonight he made a joke using the term "actuarial tables". I feel like there's a story here that no-one enjoys, but we all deserve.
Best corrections so far, the "old callback" bit, the circular argument fallacy, the long-awaited punchline delivery to the "get ahold of yourself" setup... AND Seth said he thinks of a lot of Corrections viewers as though they were one of his kids. He definitely said that. Go back and check.
After a week where this show was unavailable in Canada, I was very relieved to see this in my in-box. As I sit here in my Montréal living room drinking my coffee from my jackal mug, I am a happy Canadian jackal. For now.
Does anyone know why it's blocked here? :( I was about to watch that day's closer look and the videos started vanishing before my eyes. It was quite saddening and still is. I'm glad corrections came back, but it feels confusing not having watched the show at all this week.
Also over here very sad that Canadians are no longer getting the regular show content on RUclips. Corrections being here still doesn't really help because it's mostly referring to the events of the show. Hoping this is just a temporary mistake and not a permanent loss
The three clips from Thursdays show were all corrections when I tried to get them on Friday. Then it looks like they hid them except for the actual corrections clip. Because I’m insane I tweeted the show’s account, Baze’s account and Sal’s asking if this is a new decision not to make them available. I hope it’s not a Canada thing.
Hey Seth - just watched A Closer Look, you wouldn't need to specify that a ghost's tears were see-through since tears are already transparent. Love your work!

Talking about the death of Mr. Peanut and drawing attention to the laughter of a single member of the staff reminded me of one of the greatest TV episodes ever "Chuckles Bites The Dust" of the Mary Tyler Moore show. In it Chuckles the Clown, dressed as Peter Peanut as the Grand Marshal of a parade gets "Shelled" by a rogue elephant and killed. Later at the funeral after a week of being solemn about the tragedy Mary keeps laughing at the eulogy, and when the priest tells her to go ahead and laugh to honor Chuckles she burst out crying. And I am certain someone has cried at the end of one of these shows. A Little Song A Little Dance A little Seltzer Down Your Pants - Aunt Yoo-hoo
The fact that these stick so well in my brain is why I love Corrections! Made me go 'naw, that callback isn't that old' but oh man, it is 😂 Graphics' "look who's connecting the dots now" had me rolling 😂 Genuinely delighted to be part of this unhinged ride from the beginning lol

Correction-correction: A 'Rennie' is a worker of a Ren Fair who travels the country throughout the year, working at different fairs; a 'Festie' is a worker who only works one show close to their home. The correct term for someone who goes to fairs often as a guest is a 'Renner.'
How many snowcat accidents had to happen at Ren Fairs before they earned that name? Aaaand I just looked it up and Jeremy isn’t fully recovered. 😢 so I self-grade this response “Rated T for Too F***ing Soon”
Your pencil is kinda an old callback to weekend update. Also I love your work so much. Most legends go their whole life not knowing they will be remembered as a legend. It’s you. The old phone for the old callback was hilarious and you can’t hear us all crack up at home… you’re amazing. Thank you for everything, even corrections. ;-)
Correction on the unicorn graphic. The graphic *was* a paint by numbers of a unicorn, but some people thought the joke set up a Connect the dots, as an unfinished paint by numbers is still a clear picture.
He’s just toying with us. He’s already got a second-order joke for next week written up. Seth is doing comedy calculus and we don’t yet comprehend his limits.

That devenomation joke has just become one of my absolute favourite jokes, despite making me laugh in no way whatsoever. Truly, the essence of Corrections
The joy of hearing the sound of laughter from a voice, other than the usual chucklef*cks, after a joke is made all the better when you call them out on it. Keep reaching for the stars. Eventually you'll get more of them to laugh.
You should know better. Never watch corrections with anything in your mouth and always be out of ear shot of someone, otherwise you have to try and explain the humor.
I've always enjoyed Late Night, but it's RUclips so I watched it whenever I had a chance and rather like background music. Then Corrections found me. Now I drop everything and pay attention and watch pretty much every episode so I'm ready for this every week. It's truly the most fun thing I watch!
I once worked as a medic at a Renaissance Faire where there was outbreak of digestive issues and I was totally unprepared. I wasn't ready for the Rennie's with the Runny's.
_What are we doing?! What is this?!_ Now that had me on the floor! Like the pure exasperation and honesty of the moment was what today's corrections needed.

I came here to say this! After having watched a closer look at the beginning of the week, I went back to watch it again, and it was gone. For some reason, all of his videos have been restricted in Canada except for very old 6 month ones. Being able to watch Seth Meyers was one of the few things I looked forward to in the day . The writer strike was five months of agony, but at least I understood a greater good was being fought for. Having Seth's show just restricted, knowing that I can't see it, breaks my heart 💔 😢 😔 While of course I will still enjoy Corrections, I will no longer know to what it is referring, nor can we contribute because we cannot comment on any videos we cannot see 😢
@@nancyw8129 They haven't been taken down, thankfully. They just appear to be geoblocked from Canada. The LNSM Twitter is still posting clips, and then trying to view them gives the geoblock notification. Redditors have suggested using a VPN, which will probably work just fine. As to the why, I have no idea.
Seth & crew: I just want you all to know how much I enjoy the show, and Corrections specifically. It sets the perfect TGIF tone for me, and I love it. Thank you to Seth, and everyone on the team. You guys make life easier to deal with.

The joke didn't really work here for me as-is because I hear you expressing the childlike wonder and discovery that Rudy is so famous for, but even he could tell that lineart is a unicorn before "doing the numbers."
Sorry to call it out, but there are certain people I'm wary of: Men when wearing just jeans and a t-shirt that tuck in the t-shirt, people who roll up their shirt sleeves for no reason, 80s style moustache wearers and segment timestampers. Don't stamp on time, waste it. As I've just done.

Every week, I enjoy these so much. Hearing the staff laughing and having a good time is so wonderful. Then today remembered: back in the 80s I hung out at the bar at Punch Line San Francisco, Sunday nights were open mic and the half of the comics that we're f'in awful were there to either try new material, or to make the other comedians laugh. The effort they made to make each other laugh is the same energy in Corrections. It's so great to hear everyone having a good time. Have a wonderful weekend, thanks to ALL of the staff
Yet again you set have set this show apart from anything like it. It's so clear that I'm watching a show made by people. A real team come together to make this show. Seth is the delivery mechanism for so many people's creative efforts. And it is so exciting to see Seth engage with and encourage/add to what's happening live. I want to make clear that I'm not diminishing Seth as who is clearly a creative force in his own right, my intention in this statement is to share my love for everyone's work on this show. And to whomever decided to make the teams efforts so clear to the viewers, I cherish you for what you have shown me.

It's become a bit of a cliché to call a Corrections episode the "best ever", but this one had me in stitches from start to finish! Best ever!
This week Seth made a joke using the term "annuity" and tonight he made a joke using the term "actuarial tables". I feel like there's a story here that no-one enjoys, but we all deserve.
I have never seen no-one hyphenated like that before this moment. Weird...
@@chonqmonkReally? Not a-once?
@chonqmonk I think the "no-one enjoys" was quite possibly correct because it's possible that some-41 does enjoy insurance term references.
Maybe a continuation of the math and calendar joke the other day. Math AND calendar.
my love for the comments on corrections _almost_ exceeds corrections itself
🐾
This is the kind of Corrections that I need right now.
Best corrections so far, the "old callback" bit, the circular argument fallacy, the long-awaited punchline delivery to the "get ahold of yourself" setup... AND Seth said he thinks of a lot of Corrections viewers as though they were one of his kids. He definitely said that. Go back and check.
Omg does this mean that Seth is Daddy?
@@kathleenchapman2204 That's kinda hot 😂
Seth crying about emailing around for an old phone was the highlight of my week… and my grandpa’s funeral was *really* nice.
After a week where this show was unavailable in Canada, I was very relieved to see this in my in-box. As I sit here in my Montréal living room drinking my coffee from my jackal mug, I am a happy Canadian jackal. For now.
Me too. I was nervous that we would be blocked from watching in Canada. Such a happy relief to be able to enjoy "Corrections" in full.
Does anyone know why it's blocked here? :(
I was about to watch that day's closer look and the videos started vanishing before my eyes.
It's a Canada thing. 😢
Never stop doing corrections, no matter how light the material.
Please!
Not a correction but a funny detail: when Mr. Peanut “died”, Planters changed his Twitter account to be “The Estate of Mr. Peanut”

Hey Seth - just watched A Closer Look, you wouldn't need to specify that a ghost's tears were see-through since tears are already transparent. Love your work!
How did I not know about this game. I want to be a jackal! I'm not very funny so I'll just watch, unless they're all this freakin' uncomfortably long! 😘
@@robindopp5245 Um.. uh.. this one, uh, this one was pretty short, actually.
If a ghost is already see-through, wouldn’t their tears just be invisible?

@@SyzygyNoon An interesting question, if you look through two panes of glass, can you really say the first pane allows you to see the second pane, considering that all the second pane is only showing you is what's beyond itself?
@@danielgehring7437 Well, I'm a newbie so I guess I'll have to get used to the discomfort every week! 😁

I laughed out loud 3 times this week.
I think this episode went very well
😂👍
🙌🏿🎯💯
I applauded too.
Seth is truly a comic genius, with his lovable banter, his amazing impros and voice imitations and his incredible sense of timing like in the end sequence! 😂 A Closer Look, Surprise Inspection and the Monologue always make me laugh out loud but Corrections is really where his true nature and talent shines through, please never stop!

Agreed. Seth's sense of timing in the end sequence was fantastic.
Don't worry, Seth: all twelve of us Southeast Asian Jackals loved that "old callback" bit. We all chuckled. I've checked. It was worth it.
Please explain this to anyone not born in Southeast Asia. PLEASE
Pretty fucking racist...
Yes. We did. ❤

@@andrew66862 Wow! Deep insight! Thank you for knowing the reference.
(I watched the whole episode. "Defenestration" wasn't mispronounced, so I'm still not sure I get the joke [maybe 29 was a callback to something else?]. But the VERY LAST comment by Seth [reading a Jackal comment] was really beautiful!
Even that alone was worth rewatching the whole segment ♡)
This is my fav part of the week. 🥂
The defenestration call back just proves that it is in fact worth it to watch the entire day of corrections. I howled alone in my apartment.
“An old call back.” I love it when the best jokes are also the worst!
Always amused I actually learn things on this show too, but I’m just imagining answering the winning question about platypus venom on ‘who wants to be a millionaire’ & then trying to explain how I know 😂 “Well, have you heard of Cicada, Cicada…?”
-Cicada, Cicada-
Cicada!, Cicada!
I saw the one about Stevie Nicks singing 'Gold Dust Woman' to Lindsey Buckingham and went down an entire rabbit hole of Fleetwood Mac Documentaries!
@@robindopp5245 Me too! I even downloaded Silver Springs after listening to Seth’s ‘Review’ of it 😂
@@ryanyoung8638 Well, I did too, but I didn't see the review yet. I mean this has taken hours and it's only Tuesday! I want to be a contiencious jackal but who has the time? 🤷😁

I didn't get this joke and I thought I'd seen all of Corrections. What was the callback? 😅
@@AaronMoseley-Saldivar
it was a combination of 1) the difference between venom and poison AND 2) discussions about defenestration (which means to be thrown out a window. there have been a few episodes discussing this). With "devenomation" sounding like "defenestration"

To answer your question: you are providing the much needed commentary on the errors of the week for a least one austistic person. These errors drive me crazy on every show, but you at least acknowledge them, and i feel you are making a genuine effort to not make mistakes in a closer look.
I only wish you'd go through other shows and correct them too.
You're amazing. This is amazing.
I love when Seth does the “Graphics Department” voice
I laughed when Seth got as far as “There’s a French word for it I forget…” he didn’t need to say “oubliette”.
Oubliette means kind of “forget’
I knew when he smiled that I didn't know an oubliette (from french oublier meaning to forget) or bottle dungeon is a basement room which is accessible only from a hatch or hole (an angstloch) in a high ceiling.- so I raced to my French dictionary!
This is the first one of these i have seen and i gotta say i loved it! I may be weird, but i hate most talk shows, but stuff like this will always tickle my fancy. I am definitely gonna watch some more of these! Seeing seth off script like this really makes me love how quick witted he actually is.
Welcome to the insanity! Do yourself a favor and watch in order from the beginning (:

Correction-correction: A 'Rennie' is a worker of a Ren Fair who travels the country throughout the year, working at different fairs; a 'Festie' is a worker who only works one show close to their home. The correct term for someone who goes to fairs often as a guest is a 'Renner.'
How many snowcat accidents had to happen at Ren Fairs before they earned that name?

That callback was fabulous, especially on a retro phone to show how old it was! Pay attention because you never know what nugget will resurface!!
Thank you Seth for spending all day emailing people asking for an old phone. What happened was it brought me joy.
This whole episode made me laugh until my stomach hurt😂😂 One of the best so far.🦊🦊🦊🦊 "Old Call-back"😂
Truth! And then Seth has “They can’t all be bangers” on the back of his notes. I agree in principle, but this ep is of the banger variety ^_^
This was pure artistry!

I'm glad Corrections isn't blocked in Canada like all the other videos. This is one of the best parts of the week!
Correction on the unicorn graphic. The graphic *was* a paint by numbers of a unicorn, but some people thought the joke set up a Connect the dots, as an unfinished paint by numbers is still a clear picture.
Ditto
He’s just toying with us. He’s already got a second-order joke for next week written up. Seth is doing comedy calculus and we don’t yet comprehend his limits.
An apology to Graphics???? What new level of Hell would that be for him? 😂
I thought I was losing my mind. I was about to go back and find the clip but knew one of us in the comments would be on to him too.
Connect The Dots, Seth. Connect.The.Dots.

That "Old Callback" was definitely worth it, Seth! Fantastic! 😂😂😂
It had the ring of authenticity others could only dream of.
I want a Corrections bit where we actually follow Seth down to Graphics and it turns out it's the Please Don't Destroy gang.

Since Seth went mad over lockdown, this show is phenomenal 🤣
I swear this is the most hilarious bit on all of late nite tv.
But it's not on TV.....it's net-only.
Him falling apart makes me so disproportionately happy
The joy of hearing the sound of laughter from a voice, other than the usual chucklef*cks, after a joke is made all the better when you call them out on it. Keep reaching for the stars. Eventually you'll get more of them to laugh.
I think I just discovered my new favorite word, all thanks to you. It begins with chuckle and ends with ucks!

OMGOMG!!! MY "AM NOT/AM NOT" CORRECTION MADE IT IN!!! Thank you Sal for flubbing that one! 🤣🤣
It is hard to overstate how much I love Corrections.
The oubliette joke made Hawaiian Punch come out my nose. 😂
You should know better. Never watch corrections with anything in your mouth and always be out of ear shot of someone, otherwise you have to try and explain the humor.

Thank you, Seth and Team, for at least making sure that we happy Canadians can watch Corrections on RUclips. LNSM would also be nice, but at least there are other avenues for that.
Do you know why the other videos have been taken down? Thank god corrections was posted!! I was worried…
Having Seth's show just restricted, knowing that I can't see it, breaks my heart 💔 😢 😔
While of course I will still enjoy Corrections, I will no longer know to what it is referring, nor can we contribute because we cannot comment on any videos we cannot see 😢
Why did they do that?
@@ashleyaronson2114 If you haven't thought about it yet, you could get a VPN.
At this point your whole show is just to generate the less than twenty minutes of Corrections gold.
CORRECTION: 4:52 You misread the correction. The graphic was NOT a connect-the-dots; it WAS a paint-by-numbers. The correction was that it SHOULD have been a connect-the-dots.
Segment timestamp: ruclips.net/video/IyeVxGYibJY/видео.html
Correction from the previous video:
The "I just did all the numbers and it's a unicorn" joke should have had a "connect-the-dots" graphic, not a "paint-by-numbers" graphic.
The joke didn't really work here for me as-is because I hear you expressing the childlike wonder and discovery that Rudy is so famous for, but even he could tell that lineart is a unicorn before "doing the numbers."
*angry jackal noises*
(I'm not blaming Seth for having those false memories of course, they probably graphlit him)
