So actually, as a person who just finished taking all of my medical boards, we almost ALWAYS assume if there is chlamydia there is gonorrhea. If you have ever been treated for one, you were amost assuredly treated for both without it being explained. They are friends, they very often coinfect, and gonorrhea is a tricky one because it HAS to grow inside of cells (called an obligate intercellular organism), so its really tricky to grow in a culture. There are a few special growth mediums that on paper it should grow on but it fails a lot. Chlamydia is really easy to grow, really easy to detect, and where there is smoke... So, just wanted to point out: i think the joke may have come across to the lay person (with an admittedly more intimate knowledge of nicknames for sexually transmitted infections) as a bit of a stinker. But to the licensed physicians, in the bunch, especially those who work in primary care and sexual health: its was a clever, carefully crafted joke, that displayed both an intimate knowledge of the treatment of STIs, but also current best practice. So kudos. FYI current studies suggest about a 46% coinfection rate, amd because specifically Neisseria gonorrhea can be totally symptomless and just obliterate a persons reproductive tract..like make a person sterile or worse, it can disseminate and cause infected joints, skin, brain, etc. So we dont mess around. But also because we know how evolution works, exposing a species of bacteria to an antibiotic just makes it all the more likely it will develop resistance to it. Treating the chlamydia and not the gonorrhea or vice versa has the potential to create resistant strains, which we already see and can be F*CKED

9:42 I appreciate how Seth's pronunciation of that sentence worked in his favor. He couldve also put the stress on the syllables "funny" and "charisma" to make that insult much harsher.
I assumed the original comment made it clear, like by writing "AND" in caps, but maybe that's just Seth's interpretation because he KNOWS he's funny, so that's the only way it makes sense to him. There are so many ways to read that line depending on punctuation. "Like if Seth was funny and had charisma" vs "Like if Seth was funny. [pause] And had charisma." vs "Like if Seth was funny AND had charisma"

I hope you've started planning for the 100th episode because that is going to come round sooner than we all think! Absolutely love this segment 😂
Time for a double spookjackular! Or maybe something leap day themed????
I'm guessing around 12 episodes from now?
@@canadaclaret But will those 12 weeks be fast weeks that speed by as though in a blur, or will they be slow weeks where each day feels like a lifetime? That is the question.
@chonqmonk The answer is 42.

Seth, I truly love this segment. Your callbacks are incredible. I absolutely think it's worth spending over 24 hour watching corrections.
That could be used as a punishment or a reward depending on the recipient of the treatment! I would probably turn to a puddle of giggling joy & give my captors what ever infor they wanted!😅

I was about to go to bed, but then I saw Corrections!!!🎉
From the second Seth turned the crank on the jack-in-the-box, I turned into Brad Pitt's character from SE7EN.
This was incredible and I can't believe some people could be watching the show and missing this.
You mean they watch the side gig, some show airing on NBC?
@@L_M_V yeah, the leftovers, exactly
Besides being the most STRESSFUL episode of Corrections in the history of Corrections (every Jackal with anxiety wishes death upon whoever created the Jack in the Box), I was filled with such immense joy when that little Jackal popped out basically telling Kenny to go F*$& himself. Bravo. Just a triumph. Whoever made that hellish little toy deserves an Emmy.

I appreciate the full answer.

9:42 I appreciate how Seth's pronunciation of that sentence worked in his favor. He couldve also put the stress on the syllables "funny" and "charisma" to make that insult much harsher.
I thought the same thing.
