I love listening with headphones on, at night in a dark room.....my bedroom in bed before sleep. Soothing to.me. A comfort. Takes me back to an earlier time in life and hearing the commercials is magnificent and fun!!!
Wonderful observation about a wonderful show. I'm 60 now, much older than you, but I sadly heard of JFK's murder on a crystal set I'd bought, which inspired me to build one (it takes a few brain cells, but not many). All this led to a lifetime career in radio, radio-related stuff, and publishing. Now I teach English in Greece, and listen to these programs on a primitive Net connection. Real life happens while one's planning something else. Great good luck to you.
These shows are the best. Every one tells a good story, an ACTUAL story. Those are hard to find these days. Thanks!
Thank you so much for your time so we can enjoy.
I remember hearing this last year and loved it. Came up in the rotation and wanted to hear it again. So good!

Same here I put them on when I go to bed and I love the news & commercials from the original broadcast date
Me too. Love to listen to these when I have trouble sleeping. Takes my mind off stuff.

Yea…..it’s SO soothing that I end up falling asleep before the story ends. So, it takes me several nights before completing one episode. 😄
love the way E.G. says drama.
It's how my dad pronounced it.
interesting observation. I remember very well the radio I used to listen to this show on. I loved that radio!
i love the old commercials
I LOVE hearing a show with commercials and news as I pretend I'm there

I am 44. Was so sad when LA KNX1070 AM CBS took this off the air in the late 1990s? Bummer.
Another great episode many thanks for posting it. Especially with the original ads!
put some oil on that door E.G
Killing the squeak would be somewhat akin to putting a silencer on a Machine gun.
Is carma baby, just carma.😉
