Hi I fitted one of these to my S5 4 years ago and you can also feel the benefit when you use launch control as the insert stiffens up the gearbox movement
I had this installed in my manual A5 quattro last year, ended up removing it after a month. It did tighten up the transmission and gear shifts but during every start up it will make a small clunk sound. I believe this was due to my adjustable engine mounts that are softer on start-up. So the transmission mount ended up being the stiffest mount and took the torque load during start-up. But as soon as I stiffened the mounts in dynamic setting, I started feeling the benefits of the mount. unfortunately my Audi can't be started in dynamic mode so I always get the clunk on start-up, which got more annoying than the benefits of the mount. But at some point I will probably re-install it when I upgrade to stiffer engine mounts.
Oh really I've not looked at that one, what's the main difference you've noticed. Thanks for leaving a comment, would really appreciate if you subscribed to the channel. I might look into getting the diff insert 😁
It's surprising isn't it how much of a difference it make for something so small and cheap. Thanks for dropping a comment. If you haven't already I'd really appreciate it if you subscribed to the channel 😁
Cheers of that video. I have a TT so different gearbox but looking at getting something similar as dont have 4wd so wheels hop a bit when foot put down. The gear change from 2nd to 1st is a nightmare in it as well so if that helps with that I would be really happy with that.
Can't believe there are people still out there buying the "branded" ones at way more than 5 times the price of these cheap ebay ones. What's even funnier is the way they try and justify it on the forums. This was the first thing I did when I got my S4 a few years ago. Instant massive difference. 9 notes from fleabay! 🤣But the real way to get the DSG boxes on the S4/5 to behave is to get a TCU tune. I've had a TVS stage 2+ on mine for a couple of years now and it transformed the entire driving experience of the car. It was necessary as the car came with an MRC stage 2 tune already on it. Well worth every penny of the 600 quid paid for the TCU tune and I've had zero issues at all with the box since owning the car. People also fit the diff and subframe inserts but the danger is transferring NVH into the cabin.
The reason you pay more for “branded” is because you’re supporting small businesses from the USA or EU that pay their employees fair wages, and their company invested into creating a product that was copied by some Chinese company. Furthermore, 034 in particular and JXB make revisions to their products based on consumer feedback . Enjoy saving a few dollars, but don’t cry when the west collapses
Hey mate, is this stock rear bumper diffuser or an aftermarket part? I'll be installing dual-side exhaust to my A5 S-Line (default with twin exhaust tips on the left side), and found out that the only dual side diffuser for S-Line bumper is for single-tip 🤔
i think i know what u mean, on the immediate start up my engine like jumps. its a very harsh knock. but its not a constant vibration, it only happens on startup
I'm not to sure what gearbox the S6 has but if it's the same one the I would think so yes. Defo worth looking in to. Thanks for the comment. Make sure to subscribe so you don't miss future videos 😁
So listen how strange that is... I drive a6 c7 and i have the same mount but i cant find any site that sells for a6... should i just run for the insert for a4? 😃

Thanks for making this video. I’m having this installed in my A8 today.
Glad I could help, if you would consider subscribing that would be appreciated 😁
Maybe it works even better in a manual box mate 🤔 bought my S5 4.2 v8 12 days ago now. Love it 👍
Great wee mod done mine today 👌👌👌👌👌

the differential insert also makes a huge difference

I did this on my a5 3.0 tdi and i can confirm that the difference is mega especially on a mapped car with a crap ton more torque 😜

Yes definitely noticed a difference 2nd to 1st, for a cheap little mod I would say defo worth it.
@@STLCarsYT def worth it. It is awful going down to 1st when in manual mode.
Sold!
Hi,
Would you provide link to that gearbox insert please?

It's the S5 diffuser mate, dual tip on both sides.
Thanks so much fir thus vidéo can you give the site and referance name please , good jobe man 👌
It is just from eBay mate, if you type in Audi gearbox mount there are loads for a good price.
Did you have any gearbox rattle/shutter upon start up, as the car fires on?
Almost sounds like the mount is restricting the movement (as intended)
Not that I notices but it definitely feels like it tightened everything up
I get a rattle on start up but I don't have the insert. Could it be the transmission mount has failed?
probably your motor mounts@@johnagius2743
Doese it also works for manual gearbox?
I believe its just for DSG
@@STLCarsYT unlucky, I thought it would be a cool and cheap mod for me
Do u have a little harder vibration when start engine?
Not that I have noticed.
I mean, like a harder engine start, on first cold start after instaling it the start was kinda different, hard to explain
I didn't notice anything different when I installed it to be honest.
i think i know what u mean, on the immediate start up my engine like jumps. its a very harsh knock. but its not a constant vibration, it only happens on startup

I think so then, but defo worth checking.
Vibration on idle ?
Nope no vibration from what I've felt.
@@STLCarsYT I'm afraid of having vibrations in the cabin
@@revengex5163 it sure makes rougher idle with the insert. Tested and proven.
@@allroaddaily would you say its still worth it even with the rougher idle ?
@@xyberke no. I took mine off and much happier.
Crazy that they try to charge £80 for branded ones...
You have a link where to buy
Hi mate, if you search audi gearbox insert on ebay there are loads to chose from. Please hit the sub button, I would really appreciate it.

“Does it work?” Yes. Buy one. It’s not going to radically change your vehicle but it will do what it states.
Eh didnt notice any real difference with it in. Now I dont race the car. But it sees spirited driving on most days.
